Picture a place that plays loud music that travels far from the restaurant. It doesn't sound very loud while you're there. But it travels far...literally a mile and a half away at a friend's house, we could hear the bass at midnight. The place doesn't serve food and to get around that, they bring in food trucks. The food is not great. It's hard to describe this place. It's dark inside like it's trying to be a place where people dance, but nobody dances. The inside is very empty. They share a fire pit with other restaurants. There's a rock playground for children to climb on that's made of plastic... but it is in the wrong place, since it's a place where people drink beer and get drunk. It's a weird vibe. I don't think it adds anything to the neighborhood or to the ambience of that little area of restaurants. As a matter of fact, it's like going down to Tijuana, with every shop playing loud music trying to get your attention. Go to Tequila Mama .. that's a much better way to spend your evening and that's right next-door.

The food is a hit or miss. The spinach dip was bland and I didn't care for it. The chicken sandwich that I had was dry , very basic. However my friend liked her sandwich and pizza.

The restaurant wasn't overly crowded -- only a few tables occupied and a handful of people at the bar -- but service was extremely slow from the start. It took about 10 minutes for our server to greet us, and another 10 minutes just to receive waters after ordering them. My boyfriend and I ordered drinks (a Raspberry Collins and a Tropicalia), along with a pretzel for the table. The pretzel was brought out by another server, and when I asked for plates, they never returned with them. I then asked our server for plates, but they still never came. Eventually, I had to ask the host to find our server, and he responded that he would "try." When our server finally came back, I had to ask for plates a third time. Our friend was finally able to order his mixed drink, and we went ahead and ordered our meals as well. The food took nearly an hour to come out, despite the restaurant having very few tables at that point. My boyfriend ordered the Nashville hot chicken, which was extremely oily and lacked flavor. I had the hibachi bowl, which was decent. Before the food arrived, I ordered another Raspberry Collins and more water, which took about 15 minutes and again was not delivered by our server. The one bright spot of the evening was the bartender -- I didn't catch her name, but she was wearing a red Falcons shirt. She personally brought my drink to the table, promptly brought us waters when asked, and even cleaned up our table. Major props to her professionalism and attentiveness, because she was the only person who made us feel taken care of. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be returning. Save your time and money and try somewhere else in downtown Sugar Hill.

The TVs were all around the room but all showed the same game. I had the Tavern BLT with a side of steamed broccoli. The sandwich was tasty. I liked the thick bacon and the Texas toast. The broccoli was well cooked and a nice alternative to fries.
