We absolutely love this restaurant. We are so happy that we finally have another great sitdown place in the area where the people are really nice and the atmosphere is lovely. They are very welcoming to families that are also good for a working lunch. They have a great menu and accommodate gluten-free issues. I even have a gluten-free dessert. The bar is also a nice place if you want something quick for lunch and catch the game. We also really like coming here on weekends for a quick lunch or a quick dinner. This is a nice place, large dining room to one side, large bar and side tables on the other. Also have some outside seating for nice weather. Service seems good and attentive. I have not eaten here, but lots of people do eat at the bar and side tables (a good sign). With more experience I might give this a 5. First, overall I'd say the food was very good on all five visits. The first two nights, I had dinner here. On the first night, I sat at the bar and enjoyed a bowl of the French onion soup and the halibut. The soup wasn't huge for $12, but it tasted good, and the halibut was quite flavorful. I didn't realize at the time, but they add in an 18% gratuity, so tip extra at your own risk. On the second night, I ate at a table with two coworkers. I had the chicken paillard, which was a large portion and also very good. Service was strong at both the bar and table on consecutive nights. For the three breakfasts, I pretty much had the same thing every day...an omelette with a side of fruit. It also came with potatoes, but it would've been nice if it came with toast or something similar without needing to pay extra. Again, food was good. Service the first day was fine. The next two days, the older gentleman providing service couldn't have cared less. I (and others) would show up at 6:30, when they opened, but nobody would be there. We'd sit ourselves and then wait. Eventually he'd show up. It was difficult getting coffee too, as both days, my cup sat empty for a long time until I'd eventually flag him down. Everything was on his time. I would've given him little/no tip...if the 18% wasn't already added in. The rest of the restaurant...food and service...gets a 5. This guy gets a 1. I probably should've given this a 3, but it didn't seem fair to everything/everyone else.
