I have my trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt every other week. They are the closest threading place to where I live so I haven't had much choice. It is always hit or miss, but today was the last straw. My eyebrows came out completely uneven. I tell them every time I go to just clean them up, I'm trying to grow them out to be thicker so I can get a better shape like I USED to have before one of the ladies at this salon thinned them out. Today I came out with not only uneven and thin eyebrows, I was also left with random bald spots I never had before this, and hairs left in the middle of my eyebrows. They pay more attention to chatting with each other and gossiping with the girl who works at the front desk than they do to their clients eyebrows. For one of the priciest chains of the Threading Spa I've been too, they are not even a little worth it. I will gladly take the train to another state for eyebrow threading before ever going back here. read more

This place has really fallen off. it used to be great. Not anymore. Yesterday the lady spent about 4 minutes, hardly did anything. I asked her to shape my brows a bit. she spent another 30 seconds and was done. acted like she was doing me a favor. I went home and looked in the mirror and had to clean up the rest on my own. This place is truly hit or miss. You either get perfect brows or like I just got: One thin elongated brow and one short one with the whole outer side lobbed off. I asked her not to make them thin... And they're the thinnest I've ever had. I look like two different people if you saw me from the left or right ....and stupid from the front. There's no quality control/general guideline training. 5/5 for BROWS WITH SARITA is the best with brows. She always has a wait but she makes sure she perfects your brows according to your face. I would rate the lash lift ZERO/5 I went in recently and the Caucasian girl who did them was unprofessional. I couldn't wait to finish and get the heck out. She kept talking about how all the products she buys is so expensive and didn't have makeup wipes and doesn't appreciate how clients don't come with clean lashes. I had to tip her 20 percent so she can be a little less broke. If I'm coming in for a service why are you telling me that the lash glue is expensive? So for the last couple of weeks I've been heading to the office at earlier and earlier hours and scurrying to my desk as fast as possible to avoid human contact. When I couldn't avoid it, my coworkers politely avoided eye contact, or at least staring overly obviously at the Sasquatch-Chewbacca patch that was my forehead. Alas, after scouring Yelp for a place that wasn't in freaking Medford, I found decent reviews for this place. Price is reasonable - $12 for brows (My go-to place in NYC is $8, but hey, I've also gotten used to the fact that everything in beantown is half as convenient and twice as expensive.) Pain was minimal - took a bit longer than the average threading place, but hey, these are major markers of human facial expression that you are talking about here. And most of all, they did a good job. I know this because a bum whistled at me as I was scurrying home, and I realized I could slow my scurry to a brisk jog, since I would no longer be mistaken to be a hairy mythical mountain creature. One very strange warning for you gals (and fashionable gents) out there who want to give Threading Spa a spin - go during the evening. The reason? The chairs sit strangely under an open sunroof, where sunlight mercilessly hits you in your necessarily upturned face during the daytime. You might think this is alright if your eyes are closed, but the minute the sun came out today my eyes were watering in pain. read more

I got my eyebrows done Thursday March 10th and got a bad infection on my face. initially I got redness & hives as soon as she was done. From there it just got red, bumpy & worse and I had to get antibiotics from the doctor. The doctor explained this infection can happen when the thread is not new or fresh in between usage. As some of the ladies wear the thread around the neck. I was so disappointed as I've come here for many prior to COVID, I saw a new person this time as my usual lady left. (I use to Seretha in the first chair prior to the pandemic) Please be careful and make sure they change the thread in between guests. I have always been super safe especially with COVID and now My forehead is now with scars from the topical medicine I had to use to get rid of this. read more

This place was very unreliable before but their recent threading technicians do good job. The process is relatively painless because of good threading technicians who know how to do it. It is clean, cheaper than most grooming places and you can walk-in anytime to have your eyebrows and other areas groomed after shopping at the Cambridge mall. read more

My eyebrows look wonderful after my trip to the Threading Spa! I absolutely love threading, your eyebrows look neater and it hurts a lot less than waxing. It is also way less irritating than wax if you have sensitive skin. My technician at the Threading Spa was extremely nice and very thorough. She more than earned her tip, and for $15.00 (that's $12 threading and $3 tip) you can't get a better deal as far as making yourself look more put together is concerned. It isn't a private location, and people in the mall routinely stop to watch you get threaded, so if being on display bothers you, you should opt for a salon experience, but it will cost you a lot more. read more

It's simple don't waste your time coming here! I came here for the convenience and left with thin and two differently shaped brows. Don't be fooled by their new store layout. Don't bother telling the tech what you want... she will end up doing whatever she wants regardless. I'm half Lebanese, and sadly, that's the half that has taken control of my eyebrows. Frequent maintenance is essential and over-plucking is laughably obvious. This necessitates three things, all of which are practiced at the Threading Spa 1) Cost-effectiveness. Having to get the brows done every two weeks means that I can't be draining large sums of money on them. This is the least expensive threading I've seen anywhere. Period. 2) I said "not to thin please" and they actually did what I asked. Usually any place short of a day spa makes me look like I painted mine on. I was impressed. 3) Cleanliness: I was apprehensive about what is essentially a mall kiosk. But they kept the area tidy and all the implements were clean and neatly stored. Phew! The only reason it loses stars is that I'm really not a fan of having my brows done in the middle of a mall. It's embarrassing enough that it has to get done without displaying it for the world to see. But it's quick, clean, and cheap, and that's all I really need. read more

I get my eyebrows threaded religiously. I am always at this mall so the spa is very conveniently located. I try to let my guard down and trust that any girl will get the same job done but I was let down more than once here. I have definitely learned my lesson. I now ONLY get them done if Sarita is there. Apparently, they do not know what it means when I tell them to leave them as thick as possible. That's not in their dictionary so if Sarita is not there, do not waste your time. Other than that, the price ($12) is probably the cheapest around that area and in Boston. I would give this place 5-stars if it was owned by Sarita or if there were four Sarita clones, one at each station. Also, I don't understand why they have a phone listing because I have tried calling them a couple of times to see who is working that day and NO answer. I'm a regular at this place and Asia is great. Always perfect. I've been trying to go during the COVID times despite being a little afraid to make sure we support the small businesses. Today I went and there was someone other than Asia, while she was doing my eyes brows she was constantly talking loudly to her colleague with a mask. So I respectfully asked if she would not talk while doing eye brows her but she said she doesn't care as she is wearing mask. I explained to her I'm uncomfortable of her talking loudly so close to my face but she refused and then started to mock me with her colleague in their local language which I fully understand. Won't be going back again. These guys are not following the safety protocols and making zero effort to make customers comfortable during these hard time. I LOVE this spot! They do a really really great job and it's so budget friendly! Although the salon itself is a bit - no thrills - the price is right, the service is great and your brows come out looking amazing! One star only because the shape wasn't horrible- but I already went in with a great shape and just needed a cleanup. The lady went to town and literally took half of my right brow off and made both super thin. DON'T ever go here. I'm Indian and use to really great threading. This is the second time this has happened here. After the first time, I decided to give this place a second chance- who knows, maybe it was an off day. NOPE. Same terrible experience. Given that I pay half the price for my brow job in NJ, paying 12 bucks for eyebrows would be a rip off, most ppl would say. However, given there's basically no place that does threading in the Boston area,and us 'brown' girls get desperate. Here's a tip that I should've heeded from the previous posts: Stay away from the technicians that wear the threads around their necks. They're not that good. There's a couple of old-standing technicians that have been there awhile--they usually work Wed and Fridays and they are good. The pros: one of the few places in Boston that does threading, they do take their time and do a good time, if you go to the right technician. I have been going to this place over 6 months now and I have always left happy with the way my eyebrows look. I don't have a regular so who ever is available usually does my eyebrows and every single one of them do a great job every time. I have sensitive skin and waxing them off was problematic and not every one does does a great job so switching to threading has been wonderful for my skin. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!! My right eyebrow is completely butchered!! When the lady handed me a mirror I literally gasped with disbelief and horror. I repeated to her twice that I did not want them to be thin and I just needed her to clean them up. When I pointed out what she had done she shook her head and told me it was already thin and there was nothing she could do!! The woman at the front desk was apologetic and gave me a refund but the women who destroyed the symmetry of my face had zero sympathy. She was the most careless person I have ever met in my whole life. I had to go to Sephora and spend $30 on makeup to temporarily fill them in. I usually just do a clean up and always leave satisfied. Everyone that works here is friendly and they work quickly. I've seen eyebrow threading as low as $7 and as high as $40, so $12 is pretty well priced. If you're going to complain over a measly $12...maybe you should focus on more important expenses, and the luxury of getting your brows done shouldn't be one of them. read more

When I leave this place you better hide ya kids, hide ya wives and beware of the beauty that are my eyebrows. I generally go every 3 weeks (2-3 is normal for threading as it doesn't grow back as fast as waxing) and I have only had 1 so-so experience at this one. There is a woman I can never recognize when I get there but she's a bit older (theres a few of them) and she kills it. I am trying to grow my brows out and they are shaping them to allow me to do so. Its only $12 and tips can only come in cash. Sometimes a line can pick up but they don't take to long and its worth the wait. read more

This place is only worth visiting on Sundays 12-7 when Rochana is working (I think that's how you spell her name). I started building my schedule around hers in order to get my eyebrows done. I walked in, the guy told me 5 minutes, and so I went to the store next door for literally 30 seconds, came back and was at the end of the line because its first come first serve. I wouldn't have minded if the guy had told me that when I left, but no, he was too busy on his phone. It's a shoddy way of running a business when you don't properly communicate with your customers!! Worst experience ever. The lady threading my eyebrows was really rough. After she was done she put some cream which really made the eyebrows burn. Looking in the mirror I noticed I was bleeding from 3 different places. I showed it to the person in charge and she just stared at my face saying that she has never seen cuts like this before. NO APOLOGY. I have been threading my eyebrows for the last 12 years and occasionally do get cuts, but what I had was more like burns. I don't know if it was the thread or the cream, I am staying clear of this place. read more

I give the threading spa 5 stars for one simple reason....they listen! So many times I would get my eyebrows waxed at the nail salon and its a hit or miss. I would say, "please keep my eyebrows thick, just arch them a little" and what I would end up with is a pencil line of hair! ughhh! I've gone back several times, and overall my impression is that it's hit or miss. I used to see one girl there who did an excellent job overall. On subsequent visits there were different people there who were terrible. My main problem with coming here is that hair regrowth begins within 5 days, whereas at higher end places I wouldn't see anything coming back for at least 10-14 days. So the savings and convenience of this place don't really cut it. Beware of the girls there who insist on tying the thread around there necks to do the threading. You can identify them by the huge, disgusting thread pom-pom necklace they are sporting. Maybe they want a souvenir of the day's work? I made the mistake of going to one of these girls and not only was she unnecessarily painful, but she also fashioned one of my eyebrows thinner than the other. Unacceptable. This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded and wow, i am pleasantly surprised at how great it is. It is cleaner and looks better than tweezing and waxing and Threading spa was great.
