I was working in the area for the day and didnt want to sit in traffic inching my way back to the Seattle side. So I was able to wrangle up a few coworkers of mine to have a Happy Hour. A English pub sounded good so we came here. Its in a mini strip mall so it may be a little tough to see, but look for the UK flags out front. It wasnt crowded when we came in, just some regulars at the bar but we were able to grab a high top and start ordering. A few draft beers all around and some HH snacks of onion rings, and chips & curry sauce, we were good to go! Food was quite good, the chips & curry sauce was great! Delicious curry sauce! I like the decor inside with dark woods, very pub like feel, jerseys on the wall, soccer(sorry, football) on the tv, relaxed atmosphere to chat with your friends etc. Service was fine, quick to get you another drink, clear plates, made sure we had enough to eat while relaxing with a few pints. This was a great pub. When you find a place in the U.S. that has Boddington's on tap you must stop by. They have a good mix of US and UK beers on tap. The waitress was really helpful and nice and offered menu suggestions. I had the shepherds pie. It was really good. It was a beef shepherds pie and it had a great flavor with mashed potatoes on top. The mashed potatoes didn't overpower the dish which sometimes happens with shepherds pie. It came with peas such is very British. Also at our table was the prime rib dip which came with delicious thin cut fries. Overall, this place was very tasty I would definitely try this place again! read more

This is a solid 3 1/2 star hang for local Anglophiles (google it), trivia buffs (Tuesdays), dart purists (cork boards) and Euro-sport-o types. Fun place to watch a game. Equal parts sports bar, restaurant lounge, and English-style pub, there's a little something here for most typical Redmond happy-hour seekers, although the food and service can sometimes suffer from inattention in the kitchen and burnout at the bar. Or more accurately, these factors may cause YOU to suffer. Read on. If you are familiar with English food, I'm sorry. If you are unfamiliar with English food, here are some tips: -raw is usually better than cooked. The less the English touch food, the better it often is. Get fresh fruit and veg plates when available. -baked English is often better than fried English. Also true for food. :) Get pie or pasty, not fish & chips. -fried is often better than roasted. Opt for fish and chips over roasted animal parts, which are often over-cooked -almost anything is better than boiled English food... The English go-to cooking method is to boil things until mushy. Beware, the English often refer to boiled food simply as being "cooked", the two terms being apparently interchangeable. -English food is better with beer. -the more beer you drink, the better the food gets. -I believe the English evolved the tradition of the after-dinner brandy as a medicinal ritual to offset the effects of mild food poisoning. Follow their example. -all of the above rules are admittedly outdated. Stay away from salads here, as they often contain rotten or wilted lettuces. It's a typical jaded line cook move: line cooks spend so much of their formative training being scolded for not paying attention to proteins, they devalue vegetables generally. They figure that since veg isn't important to them, it won't be important to the customer either. It happens. It's a manager issue. Oversight from a good chef will correct this. Get the pies. Steer clear of the fish and chips unless they're out of pies. Soups and stews are ok (the English can boil stuff. Quod erat demonstrandum). Sandwich stuff is passable. I get the ploughman's platter, ask for Stilton cheese and extra grapes, and ignore the salad. Solid. The bald guy at the bar is stern and taciturn and short with indecisive customers, and rides the usually excellent servers needlessly. Not a nice guy. If you want to stay on his good side, order only genuine English stuff (I recommend the porter) and know what you want, down to salad dressing choice and sides, when he takes your order. The less you hmmm and haw, the more he likes you. You might even get a smile out of him if you hand him a credit card instead of asking for the tab. Try it. I like this joint. Yes, the food is a caution but it's an English place: it would be weird if they had good food. The taps are rare and worth the trip by themselves. Recommended. read more

We are thrilled that this location is able to operate under the current Covid 19 restrictions, seating outside under cover with heaters. Rain is also kept out rather well. Either do a drive by to see how full it is, or call. They have a huge "regulars" following, so they usually have the best spots filled. Don't get intimidated by them gathering having passionate discussions, We enjoyed the accents. Staff is friendly and they do their best to take care of everyone. They are currently looking to hire. Not pictured here, but we had the Salt N Vinegar drum sticks, WOW! Highly recommended. They looked so good, that we ate them and I forgot to take pictures. Good selection of beers, drinks and ciders. Location is easy to find and there is plenty of parking (shared with other business). What else is good on the menu....? Salmon Fish n Chips, the Shepard's Pie (look at at those peas !!!! ) and all of the burgers are Covid speaking, staff wearing masks, sanitizer available on site and in bathrooms. Amazing salmon fish and chips. The location is a laid back and casual dining experience. My waiter was friendly, personable and seemed to really care about his job and wanted to ensure everyone had a welcoming experience. The only advice is stay away from the sweet potato fries- they cost about $3.00 more and are simply not worth the added cost. It feels like you are paying full price and loosing the standard fries that you already paid for-hopefully they really think about if $3 if a fair price upcharge for something that you get so little value for. read more

I called The Three Lions Pub to ask if they take reservations and was hung up on immediately after asking them if they do without any reason or response from the woman picking up the phone. The only thing she said was when she picked up the phone was "This is Three Lions Pub Downtown Redmond". I called back thinking at this was an accident and it was the same story on the 2nd call that she hung up on me on purpose after I asked if they take reservations. I called a third time and prefaced not to hang up on me a third time and the woman said "you're calling me, this is the 3rd time, thanks bye" and hung up. Calling a 4th time, the phone just rang and wasn't picked up. I've been here numerous times pre-COVID to watch away Sounders games, but I'm not sure I'll be back after this experience. It's a normal question to ask given that many restaurants have changed how they operate and there is no reason to hang up on a customer without even responding to them. Completely uncalled for behavior. A simple "no, we don't take reservations" would have been fine. read more

They wear it well. They start outside with the multiple flags of the UK nations, some shingle siding on the eave, a sandwich board with a Union Jack. They're right next door to the British Pantry; in fact, they share a common door. It's a little expatriate outpost happening here. You walk in and it feels more or less like a lot of bars you've been to, but the touches give it that UK feel. The wingback chairs aren't a common theme for a lot of places, and the louvered shutters on the window give it a cave-like feel that's appropriate. There are highboys and plenty of tables. There's a full bar and lots of dark wood. Put it all together and you feel like, British or not, you're in a place that's true to itself, all of a piece, and ready to welcome you for a friendly pint and some homey cooking. And some footie on the tellie, if anything's live at the moment. They do show American sports too. No shortage of flat screen here. Service is friendly, and they make an effort at offering a good mix of imported UK beers and domestic offerings in sessionable styles not unfamiliar to the drinking Briton. The menu is what sets this place's feet firmly in Greenwich Mean Time, though. Pasties, chips, fish, a stilton burger, beef and kidney pie. All worth a bite for sure. All reasonably priced. Even more reasonable at happy hour. I will absolutely be back for more. read more

It was my Boo's good friends bday and we had just gotten done doing a tasting at Woodinville Whiskey Company.. (yes, Woodinville has a whiskey distillery..) so we were looking for a place to fill our bellies. We originally were on the way to eating at Frankie's in Redmond.. but seeing as they were closed (and didnt open for another hour) we were going to drive around and look for a place to have a beer at. Low and behold... Dos, my eyes deceive me? Three Lions Pub. Lets do it! 1. Ambiance: Definitely cool. Lots of random decorations on the wall, old world feel.. Swords, sheilds, family crests, Animal heads, Football scarves, the whole lot. Ample space, plenty of parking, bar and tables, darts and TV's.. Lots to keep the eyes preoccupied. :) 5/5 2. Service: Quick. We took our seats at the bar, and whilst there was only one girl running the bar and the patrons sitting at tables, she was quick to take orders and get our beers to our eager hands. I asked for a Samual Smiths Strawberry beer, but alas they did not carry it.. BUT! she did offer me a sample of Strongbow Cider mixed with Black currant as a substitute. Needless to say, I ordered a big one.. See picture above. 5/5 3. Food: Yum! We got there right at happy hour, so we were able to enjoy the $3 fish and chips and $2 onion rings. They offer lots of choices.. ranging from Pasty's filled with Beef and Kidneys, Lamb and Kidneys etc. (I might be wrong on the combinations but their website doesn't give me a working Menu link). At any rate, the food was delish! The boo and his friends were satisfied with their menu choices and would have ordered more, but we were pretty stuffed. 5/5 4. Price: Well worth it. Aside from Happy Hour prices, their beer list is extensive and you can order just about anything.. I know my brother loves Boddington and this is the first place that i saw that serves it on tap. :) Our bill was about $25 but I left satisfied and full. They have great specials, for example they have 20% off appetizers if you wear Sounders gear when there is a match. They also have trivia days and such to keep the patrons happy. 5/5 Overall Feeling: Check it out! I've been coming here for many, many years, for their Tuesday Night Trivia. I often have dinner, and we always have drinks. My hubby loves the Wings of Fire. The servers are wonderful, the food is good, the people here know us. Lately, the place has been losing its luster, though - especially for Trivia Tuesday. The old host, John, was terrific. He kept the pace of the game going at a good clip. About a year ago or so, a new host took over. This host goofs around between questions, socializing with the teams, occasionally making crass jokes (I'm not complaining about the crassness, mind you. This is an adults-only pub, so anything goes, really). But the trivia games now usually go on well after 9pm, and they are dragged out by the goofing around. Tonight hubby and I came in last in the trivia game, so we were jazzed to win the "booby prize" (which is usually bacon-themed!). We were SO tired, but we hung around to the end, suspecting our scores were low enough to qualify for the "loser's prize" - which we did! Hooray! When the host called our team name, hubby and I raised our hands, but for some reason, the host didn't see us, and immediately went to the second lowest scoring team and gave them the prize (bacon toothpicks! Woohoo!). Hubby and I left at that point, mentioning on the way out that, hey, we were the big losers and he didn't see us raise our hands. He went to get the toothpicks but the other team wouldn't relinquish them, and the host didn't have the foresight to get us another booby prize. All this is petty, of course, but my point is: you don't treat regular customers that way and screw them over for toothpicks. read more

We sat at the bar, happy hour menu was not offered. Ordered some beers and happy hour food by looking at the HH menu on yelp (around 5PM). Fries with curry sauce came with gravy instead, bangers and mash came with no spicy mustard (which is essential for that food) had to ask for it and they scooped some out of the bottom of some jar. Food was mediocre. The biggest surprise was when they gave me the bill and they charged full price on everything even tho they have happy hour specials 4-6PM. I asked the bill to be adjusted, they gave me a discount on the food but not on the beers which was suppose to be cheaper during HH. I'm not sure what's going on with this place, POS computer should be set up for HH prices and I'm sure everybody (except me) paid full price that afternoon. Stopped here last night for my work crews monthly HH and although I am a non drinker (at least of beers) it was very enjoyable just the same. My Dad is from Windsor and having been to the UK myself a few times this place reminded me of everything England. Dark mohogany wood furniture, lots of lions on all the beer mugs and plenty of accents. Made me feel like I had just touched down @ Heathrow Airport. We did HH and the appetizers were mighty tasty. Onion rings served with tarter sauce, chips (french fries) were served with a very strong and somewhat strange curry dip and I think someone ordered the sliders and the tray of smoke salmon which went pretty quick so cleary that was a favorite. Here you can get any drink (they have every type of beer imaginable) and almost any type of English Pub fare for a decent price, served quickly and always with a smile. There are a handful of TV's broadcasting the game of the day but the place isn't too loud and you can always hear your 'mate' just fine. My favorite is always the sausage rolls served warm (although I prefer cold) with a huge helping of the typical bar fries...cut large and cooked to a golden brown but really nothing to right home about. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and a place I hope to return to soon. read more

Three Lions is a cozy little pub located right off Redmond Way that really embraces its British roots. We've seen a wide variety of sports shown, and we've even caught a little live music here. The beer selection is alright, but could probably do with a few more microbrews. They do have some interesting combinations, such as cider and Guinness. That is actually much better than I expected. The food is great. I am a big fan of their pies, especially the beef and mushroom one. Served with delicious fries that are not battered or too skinny, it is a great meal. read more

Kindly unmuted the TV for the football game when asked. - AMBIANCE: 4.0. Nice atmosphere with lots of TV screens (including a big screen), and a dartboard. "Charming" fake fireplace. - BEER/ALE: 3.0. For the first time I ordered a wine. No Manny's (on tap or otherwise). No Bitburger. The only pilsner on tap was Stella Artoise :-(. - FOOD: 3.0. Had a sherried chicken. Exceedingly bland mashed potatoes and veggies - but they were done to a perfect crispness. Chicken and mushrooms decent.
