two baskets of colorful tiles

Ceramics are fantastic, tiles are never gone away, ever. There bring me such great memories of childhood, my house in Spain that the numbers 83 made of the classic white and blue ceramic tiles. I see the same tiles in here and is like going back to memory line. The store is very Mexican-like but there are many things identical of when I grew up back home. There are so many cute things for decor and you can find any pattern imaginable. I got a cute magnet with the moon that I plan to gift to a friend, so pretty. This is the place to go for tiles!

Who knew that ceramic tiles could be so cool??? The Tile Shop stocks all types of decorative tiles here (patterned, day of the dead/dia de los muertos, religious/our lady of fatima, etc.) that can be used for a variety of purposes . . . - numbered tiles (for your house) - cork-backed tiles/trivets (for your kitchen) - framed tiles (for decor) - magnet-backed tiles - My friend purchased several mini tiles (1 1/2") to use as wedding favors/table decorations. Worth a visit if you're looking for gifts/souvenirs for both yourself or others. Located in Old Town.

LOVE this place!! It has something for everyone! You could get so many cute things for your home or for gifts, I enjoyed my time here so much and felt like I wanted to buy a million things. Not to sound like a cat lady lol but, I found a mini magnet for 4$ that was a cute little portrait of my black cat Jack. That is what I chose to buy this particular trip but, I know I will be back because I can imagine the unique gifts I could select for friends back home in Michigan alone just in this store! I loved this place right down to the grandma working at the counter, it truly seemed like the kind of place I wanted to spend my money. Really unique and special!

Wonderful place for authentic tiles! They make the frames and some of the tiles. Some are made in other areas like Tonala, Mexico.

Its a tile shop! You wouldn't think that you could have fun in a tile shop but it was a feast for my eyes. They have a wide selection of Mexican, Day of the Dead and personalized tiles. Their pricing was decent even for Old Town. I loved their trivets and magnets and will definitely be back to pick up some bright colorful trinkets.

I went there on Wednesday and it's such a delightful store. The man that helped me was really sweet…read moreand I loved his dog. The stuff is pretty expensive and high-end, but if I had a lot of money, I would buy a lot of things! I did buy a little pitcher and it was reasonably priced. I would've loved to have bought some of the blue and white table linens but they were just out of my price range but so very very lovely. I would highly recommend this place especially if you like the colors blue and white as much as I do for your living room decor.

Several beautiful coffee table books they carry are on my bucket list (support small business!) and I couldn't resist the coziest recycled tartan wool blanket last time I popped in. When you need a memorable birthday, wedding or housewarming gift, stop at Mood Indigo. They have on-trend candles, bowls, platters, baskets and serving ware, and the photographs and artwork would certainly impress a hard-to-please recipient who seemingly has everything! This little shop is a perfect place to find unique keepsakes for those vacationing in La Jolla/Bird Rock, too. You'll spend a bit more here but instead of cheap touristy items found elsewhere, you'll have high-quality gifts your friends and family will actually cherish and keep for a lifetime.

There were a few other couples in our session, but it still felt intimate and personal. For $150, we were able to make three creations of anything we wanted during the 1 hour and 30 minute class. We had so much fun the entire time. The studio itself is super cute and clean, which made the experience even better. Pinch is such a perfect way to introduce yourself, your partner, or your friends to pottery. If you're new, they teach you the basics and guide you through everything if you need help. They also have a ton of different glaze colors to choose from, which I loved. Definitely will be coming back again!

There is an ABM Parking lot right across the street from the East Curb line, $10 for 12hrs of parking, on a Saturday Night that is great for downtown. The staff here was Wyathe and Shelby. They were very good with teaching our group the ways to produce beautiful pottery. The class is $90/person and that includes the instructional 45mins class plus 1 pottery item. If you want to add more items, it's $10/additional item. With the time I had left I opted to do 1 additional item. This allowed me to form and create another small bowl to complete a set of 2. I plan to use them for individual rice and meat dishes at work lunch. Wonderful party, we were allowed to bring light Hor d'oevres and juices and water for the group. Nice time and I highly recommend.
