Took a while to get seated. Waitress was nice but she was so busy so it took a while to receive our food and drinks. The poutine came out cold. Wings were pretty good and they gave us all flats which was awesome. Carrots and celery with the wings were warm. Drinks were yummy. Lots of gluten free options!

I paid 5 bucks for a handful of cold, stale fries. This is the worst mountain food that I've had. Do not recommend.

Don't order the food! Only drinks... I'd rate the food here…read moresomewhere between "gas station convenience store at 3am" and "is this supposed to go in the compost?" $20 for an Italian Sausage Sandwich ($36 after tax and tip with a cheap beer). Soggy potato chips, a small gross.sausage in a bun that's like if you forget to leave it in the toaster oven all day. Do.yourself a favor and order food downstairs, just get drinks here. Nestled in the snowy bosom of the Snoqualmie ski lodge, Whiskey Pete's is less a bar and more a spiritual experience. You don't walk into Pete's--you ascend. The moment you cross the threshold, you're enveloped in a warm, wood-paneled hug of alpine charm. Antler chandeliers, crackling fireplaces, and a playlist that somehow knows exactly what your soul needs. The service? Transcendent. Bartenders here don't just pour drinks--they curate moments. I asked for a whiskey sour and got a handcrafted masterpiece with a citrus twist so poetic it should've come with a sonnet. The staff are attentive without hovering, friendly without faking it, and somehow manage to remember your name, your drink, and your astrological sign by your second visit. But let's talk about the atmosphere. It's après-ski meets rustic speakeasy. You've got snowboarders clinking glasses with retirees in wool sweaters. There's laughter, storytelling, and the occasional impromptu karaoke rendition of "Sweet Caroline" that somehow feels sacred. Now, about the dress code. Or rather, the lack thereof. Whiskey Pete's appears to operate on a bold, avant-garde philosophy: "No shirt? No shoes? No problem." I witnessed a man in ski boots, thermal leggings, and nothing else order a round of Fireball shots like it was the most natural thing in the world. Another patron strolled in wearing only a towel and a ski pass lanyard. No one batted an eye. It's as if Pete's exists in a parallel universe where fleece counts as formalwear and nipples are just part of the ambiance. Is it a little jarring? Sure. Is it liberating? Absolutely. Would I recommend they maybe consider a gentle reminder about upper-body coverage during peak hours? Perhaps. But honestly, it's part of the charm. Whiskey Pete's doesn't just serve drinks--it serves freedom. So grab your boots, maybe a shirt (optional), and head to Whiskey Pete's. It's the kind of place that warms you from the inside out--whether it's the bourbon or the body heat from the guy next to you, you'll never forget it.

One of the more beautiful cheeseburgers I've seen in a while. Just a happy, crowded, community with kids running and playing around on the old golf course and family and friends enjoying the outdoor tables in the evening sun under the old growth trees. Everything you love about living in the PNW. Burgers are solid, fries are creative and crispy. Chicken sandwich has too much sauce (almost like a chili sauce, like a sweet glaze with a little kick). Chicken Caesar was good - wish I had as much chicken as the salad did with the salmon. That said, it was a terrifically fun place and I'll be back.

My son ordered Forager's Burrito and he was disappointed as it seemed to be dominately potatoes and very little of the other ingredients. My bride ordered the Black Lentil bowl and made the assumption the base would be warm, but her experience was all of the ingredients were chilled. For us, beyond the friendly service the food was a disappointing miss.

The beer is excellent, especially the seasonal releases. There's always something on tap that makes you slow down, pay attention, and then mentally note, "I need to have this again before it's gone." Thoughtful, well-balanced, and clearly brewed with care. The space has real personality. Han frozen in carbonite on the wall... solo, no Jabba in sight. It sets the tone immediately. Add pinball machines (yes, real pinball), and it feels more like a hangout than a tasting room. There are pinball tournaments! The staff is a huge part of why I keep coming back: friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. They know the beer, they like the beer, and it shows. Bonus points for being able to bring in local food. Grab something nearby, bring it in, pair it with a great pint, and you're set. They often have food trucks outback, which is great for those nights when you aren't in the mood to cook. Dinner + beer all in one spot. Amazing beer, amazing staff, and a space that gets it right. Volition is exactly what a local brewery should be.

Their website was easy to navigate to find out which food truck would be there and when. We ordered our food first then handed inside to warm up before picking up our order. The space was really spacious and nice. The vibes were warm and cozy with a large TV projector screen playing sports, good music and all types of seating and tables. They have a dog water bowl near the front where you can also get water with clean cups nearby too! You can also tell it is a beloved location as it was getting quite busy and there were children, dogs, and adults enjoying the space and time with one another. We got two 10oz Diamond Knot root beers which was divine! I recently started drinking root beer from breweries and I am a huge fan, as I think brand named root beer is gross. The drink paired really well with our soul food order. The bartender was really polite and seemed to be good friends with his regulars which is a good sign. I asked him where we should put the drinks and he politely let me know to the side of where he served me would be great and there is a sign to put empty glasses as well. We will look forward to visiting when we can as we are all the way from Tacoma but it is definitely worth coming back to!

The Five Forks food truck deserves a high five, it was great. We were there with 8 of us to celebrate a birthday. First of all, the beer selection at the time had 4 or 5 pilsners and the rest almost all IPAs. I get it, IPAs sell but I don't know about the pilsners. The lack of beer variety isn't even the issue as much as NOT ALLOWING FLIGHTS! OMG, YOU'RE A SMALL BREWERY! WHO DOESN'T OFFER FLIGHTS??? I get it, investment in glasses and a little more maintenance BUT YOU'RE A SMALL BREWERY! As a business and finance person, the flights give you maximum margin on your product AND serve as a marketing tool for exposing consumers to your various products. It's actually a negative NOT to have them. Instead, we had to order multiple full glasses and shared the backwash (sarcasm but it was family). Actually you would have more money because we would have all ordered flights and then likely ordered larger of the ones we liked instead of finishing off the stuff that was meh. The beer itself was fine. There was one IPA that had some unique qualities but overall as a whole, they were just ok. Another downfall was that they sell themselves as family friendly, but had a single root beer as the only non-alcohol offering. How about just having some canned soda for the kids? I had inquired in advance about ciders for gluten free options for our celiac and they said "we have ciders" which turned out to be a single cider so that was disappointing as well. The place does have some potential, but untapped at this point.

Set in a cute picturesque town over a charming little bridge Whistle Stop Tavern sits in a row of businesses. They are known for their fried chicken & jojos so of course we had to order some of that! We had 7 ladies who had been grazing all day up at the hot springs on charcuterie & various other snacks we packed with us but after an hour long downhill hike in the cold November PNW weather we were ready for some hot food. We also ordered each of their wing flavors. BBQ, Buffalo & Lemon Pepper, plus a large house salad. The fried chicken was very tasty. We could see from the bar that they use a pressure fryer, so it keeps the meat juicy & the exterior crisp. You get a half of chicken cut up in pieces in one order, 1 drum, 1thigh, 1 breast & a wing. It was perfect for sharing. Super casual as it is a tavern with lots of bar & table seating. They also have a pool table(FREE pool Monday nights) & of course big screens for sports watching or MTV videos were actually playing when we were there. Charming spot with a nice bartender & even nicer regulars. A table of locals asked us where we were going to have dessert at & told us about the Pie Dive Bar...they said we MUST give it a try, so WE DID! If you're ever in Skykomish, WA stop by Whistling Post Tavern for some tasty chicken...they have fried seafood too, & drinks.
