Shipped Casio watch under warranty to them for repair per Casio, used US Priority Mail with tracking that shows they signed for it, called to see when I would get the watch back and they say they have no record of the watch. If you ship anything of value to these folks make sure to insure it and send via shipment where they have to provide a signature. So not impressed - Casio is off my list for good. Update 12/21/12, emailed them the US Postal Tracking proof that they received my watch two days ago, of course I heard nothing from them. Called this morning "they guy who does email is not here", I'll make sure he calls you today. Gee, do you want my phone number since you are going to call me? oh, yes... I sent my watch in through Casio on a warranty to get repaired. Long story short it took over two months to get my watch repaired and shipped back to me. The two month time span does not include the time it took to send in my proof of purchase, and have the repair diagnosed (which was just a standard battery and light stopper replacement). It should not take that long for such a standard repair. This shop gets a big thumbs down! read more

It is really sad that this is one of the only certified Casio repair centers in the entire country. Long story short, the battery in my Casio AMW-320R died, and I replaced it, but the seal that makes it water tight had stretched out over time and was getting caught as the cap was screwed back on. I made the drive out to Montrose to have them replace the seal, since you can't seem to purchase them anywhere else. It was something like $8 for the seal and labor to replace it. I asked if I could buy an extra, and he checked with the owner who was in the back, but never came out front at all, and he said sure. He goes to ring it up and told me it would be $16. WTH? I made the point that the $8 fee included labor to install it and I was only buying the seal. He checked again with the owner and he made it $5 for the seal, for a total of $13. I get home and upon the next washing of my watch, I immediately notice moisture inside the crystal! I had never seen this before in 10 years of owning this watch. I take the back off the watch to find that the nimrod that installed the seal stretched it over the back itself, which is 100% the wrong way to install it. It lays in a channel on the body of the watch and then the back screws on over it, making the seal. I called up to complain, and explained the situation. He said it should have NEVER been installed that way and asked that I leave the back off to let it dry out and then come back to The Time Machine to get the seal installed correctly. We drove back out and finally got it installed correctly. They really should have refunded my money given the circumstances, but there was no compensation like that. On a closing note, this has got to be the most popular watch model that Casio has ever made. It's been on countless actor's wrists in television and movies and I used to get into conversations with people all the time that had this watch. Unbelievable that one of two service centers in the ENTIRE UNITED STATES can't do a basic service on the most popular watch in the history of watches. The watch shop I used to do business at in South Pasadena knew this watch inside and out and even offered to do a pressure test after installing a new battery to make sure it could withstand being in water. Infinitely better facility and staff than the Time Machine, but they moved to Orange County. Needless to say, won't be returning to this chop shop. read more

If you want to see your watch again, don't go here. I had an Anne Klein watch 'repaired' and it took over two months to get it mailed back. I was also the one to follow up multiple times before getting a status on it -- and they didn't even seem to know where my watch was at times. It was a joke of a business and the new face they put on the watch has air bubbles somehow, where it should be 100% secured. I would have been much better off going elsewhere. read more

I've been here a couple of times now, it's in my little neighboring town of Montrose. This Mom and Pop business always has the warmest people working here. It's $10 for a watch battery replacement, and that means I don't have to drive 20 minutes to a chain store. They did it for me in 10 minutes. Yes, it might be a couple bucks more than Kay Jewelers or Zales but I'd much rather support my community in this economy. I'll be back the next time! read more

I am happy I found this place. I have a EX-S600 digital camera and the little locking tab that holds the battery in place recently broke. I went to the Casio website and was a little confused by it. They list a West and East coast repair facility, but then also have a link for digital camera service. This link appears to be a third option so I clicked it and went through the online service request. This eventually results in a service ticket for the East coast repair center only, which would require mailing the camera to New Jersey. I was a little hesitant to send off my camera and decided to call the West coast repair facility (The Time Machine) first. I'm glad I did. They are located very close to me and have Saturday hours so I could swing by without missing work. When I first called and explained the problem they did tell me it would take 2 weeks to fix it. I think this must be a standard time frame given for all problems. When I went into the shop to drop off the camera, I asked (jokingly) if I could get it back in a week. The guy said he might be able to do better than that and told me to come back in an hour, but no sooner were these words leaving his lips than the camera was being brought back out front already repaired. Of course, it was a simple fix and they had the part, but I was very happy that they were able to do it so quickly. The person I dealt with was very nice and personable. If you need your camera serviced this is a great place. If you are located within driving distance of Montrose, CA, I'd recommend a personal visit, because the shop is located in a cute little "old town" area with many sidewalk restaurants and interesting shops. read more

Under instructions from Casio, I sent in a camera to these people for warranty repair, and experienced the following problems: 1) Extremely long hold times when calling for repair status 2) Very slow repair times (over 3 weeks to replace a simple part) 3) Promises to call back with repair status were seldom honored 4) They shipped the camera back to me, and claim the USPS LOST it. Yes, thee was a tracer, and it's "under investigation." Their only saving grace is that they are sending me a replacement camera and not having me wait another 30 days for the USPS investigation. BUT, that is going to take another 2 weeks. Bottom line, I don't trust these people. When talking to them I envision a poorly organized, shoddy outfit that is understaffed, overworked, and perhaps suffers from some internal corruption. I recommend you avoid these people. Despite what Casio says, SEND YOUR UNIT TO SOME OTHER REPAIR CENTER. read more

As a follow up to the below review I posted yesterday, The Time Machine called me and said my watch is ready. Guess what? They lied to me and put the wrong marker in my watch. This is twice now that they have lied to me... 1) for saying the marker did not exist and 2) for putting a wrong one in there and saying that they found it. When I told the manager/owner or whoever he was (Jerry) that they are lying to me, he yelled saying that I'm accusing them of lying! I call it as I see it. I WANT MY WATCH WITH ALL ITS ORIGINAL MARKERS IN PLACE! ============================= This is the first time I'm writing a bad review for any company on any review site, because usually I'm the costumer who is forgiving, but not this time. It took The Time Machine to really tick me off. I wish I could give them zero stars. I took my Tissot (estimated $400) watch in after its markers had fallen off but were still behind the glass. Carlos, the self-claimed manager, said that this was no problem and he would fix it easily. When we went to pick it up, he just handed the watch over like nothing is wrong. But once we took a close look at it, one of the markers (so the number 1) was missing. When we pointed this out, he had the audacity to say that the marker was missing in the first place. It's a waterproof watch!!!! If water can't get in, how does a marker that is a quarter of an inch in length get out without the glass being cracked or broken!!! So, then he says, "let me see what I can do about it." After days of no real response, I go in today to check on my watch and there is another employee who first tells me that he doesn't know who the owner is (WTH?), then says that Carlos is the owner, then again changes his mind and doesn't know. To add insult to injury, no one seems to know the owner's or manager's schedule. So much for customer service. At this point, this is unacceptable. I don't appreciate my common sense being questioned...if you lost the marker, then just own up to it and admit the mistake. And as equally important, be transparent and let your customers know who the owner is. This is the most unprofessional service I've ever received. Jerry, Carlos or whoever the real owner is, I'm expecting a phone call from you. You owe me my watch with all its markers in place! To anyone reading this, DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE! I called every business in the entire LA county I knew and had no luck with the repair of my Casio calculator that meant everything to me. Its a 40 year old vintage Casio calculator that belonged to my father during his time which he gave to me when I was in elementary school . My father passed away in a car accident two years ago and I wanted so badly to use it to remember him but it was not operating . Even Casio manufacture was no help because they no longer carried any parts, however they referred me to The Time Machine and with in 10 minutes it was repaired for a small fee. Although it was the very nice and friendly lady at the front desk who assisted in taking it to the back . It was a gentleman in the back office who repaired my calculator . I never got a chance to meet him and thank him but I'm truly truly thankful for his service as this was so very sentimental to me . Hello, I sent my beloved PAW-1500t watch to "the time Machine" which is the recommended repair company on the Casio site for the Pathfinder watches. ONE button on the watch was sticking slightly. After receiving the watch The Time Machine did NOT get back to me, after calling them twice and them having to search for my watch they finally gave me an estimate of $204. I said no thank you and please send back my watch. After receiving my watch back I went about my daily activities without worry UNTIL I went for my NORMAL swim. I have swam, surfed, and showered with this watch daily for the last 3 years I've owned it. Except this time it filled with water! I called "the time machine" and they where not only unhelpful but unprofessional. I called Casio support and she was very nice and tried to check into the issue for me. She called back with the same response. Sorry but they didn't do anything to your watch, it is a coincidence. So all hope being lost I decided to open the watch to see if anything could be done. I FOUND THAT THE SEAL HAD BEEN REMOVED AND NOT REINSTALLED!!!!!!!!!!!! The Time Machine company took apart MY watch and put it back together WITHOUT THE seal inside of it. This is NOT okay! That watch has been with me through so much...it worked almost perfectly when I sent it to them. And now they have affectively destroyed it! They could have at least told me what they did so that I could get a new seal first or had them install one. This watch was not only an amazing piece of gear but held great sentimental value for me. I deployed to two war zones while wearing it. It has been through a lot with me and I was pretty attached to it. There is no fixing the watch at this point....but I just needed Casio to understand what a terrible company The Time Machine is. Also, thank you Casio for making the Pathfinder series of watches. HORRIBLE! Lied to by 3 different people and all different stories! DO NOT USE I sent them a 500 Dollar Casio WSD-F20 Smartwatch I've worn FOUR literally FOUR times, that boot looped on a software update the day I opened it. I spoke with Casio and by the time they got it I was out the 14 Day return policy but not the warranty of one year, Well, they said that the issue is NOT covered by Warranty and that it'd cost 687.23 cents to fix my 500.00 watch LMAO! I'll never buy another Casio smart watch and just stick with G-shocks but this place gave me the run around for 2 weeks until I couldn't return it so They owe me a new watch since the ate up the return period creating lies lol. DO NOT recommend at all! You are warned. Update to me 3/3/2016 review. Among the Time Machines excuses for not shipping the watch (though they also said they had) was they were "testing" it. The next morning, after it had time to synchronize with the master time signal, it displayed nothing remotely like the correct time and date. Trying to phone TMC was fruitless, always resulting in a recorded "call again later." I wouldn't return the watch under their "warranty" because I don't think they know what they're doing, and RT postage would be $20. read more

I recently came in to the time machine with my small Casio camera.. they attended me and diagnosed the problem right away. Problem was that I didn't have my receipt but the gentleman still took my camera for repair and called me when it was ready.. next day receipt in hand.. got my camera working like new. So my G-Shock G-300 had its batteries replaced and for some reason the hands stopped moving but the digital portion still works fine. I love this watch and it looks great (except that the hands don't move). I took it to The Time Machine for repair. They told me that this watch is no longer supported by CASIO so they offered me a replacement watch at a discounted price of $120. Which is the price I bought my G-300 for. I contacted CASIO from their website and got the same ****. Note to self: don't ever buy a CASIO product again or try to get something fixed at The Time Machine. read more

I would give these guys a minus star. I sent a dive watch (expensive one at that) to them for a battery replacement. I got if back and it leaked. I sent it back and they 1st claimed that I should have told them to tank test it. Whey would I have to tell them to pressure test a dive watch is what I asked. They agreed but said I would have to talk to the boss. A week latter I got in touch with him and he told be I had damaged the stem. It all looked right when I sent it to them. He said he would discount the $250 repair to $130. I tried to call and write Casio to complain but could never get any response. I would never by a Casio again because of the crappy service from The Time Machine. I got a Swiss Army dive watch and hope that it will work out better when it comes time to replace the battery. great customer service I sent my casio camera EX-G1 to this company as directed by casio, my surprise was that after 3 days I received a call with a refferance # and also letting me know that my camera wasn't going to be ready for atleast 3 weeks due to my camera was a new model and that they haven't received the parts for my model. 2 weeks after I got a call from the time machine letting me know that my camera was going to be shipped that day and I was also provided a tracking # for my records. read more

This review is for their Casio mail-in repair business only. For years, I used to send my watch here. I have a G-shock, which I love. No real other option for an authorized dealer on the West Coast, so I've always felt comfortable send my watch. And the turn-around is fairly reasonable: out and back in about two or three weeks. These guys are the only game in town for me to get my Casio repaired or the battery replaced. Maybe that's why they've gotten too comfortable and divested themselves of any customer service. This most recent time-- two weeks ago to be exact-- I had a really bad customer service experience. I sent my watch. I heard nothing back. I called and asked for status. They said they got the watch. I explained what I needed. They said they would call regarding cost. No call. Two days later, I called again. They told me the cost and I paid it instantly. I asked for a receipt and tracking info. Said they'd send it. Groundhog's day. Nothing again. Called again. Said they were busy. Would send tracking info right away. Nothing. I called again. I finally got the tracking info. When I told them how frustrating it had been to deal with them-- promises not kept, no updates from them--they said, "Ya. We got backed up." No sense of customer service or recognition for the fact that customers who love their Casios entrust their watch to them. No regard for the customer's needs to get status. The repair may looks good, but Casio's choice for a warranty repair shop is a joke. Will avoid this place next time. read more

I DO NOT recommended! I sent in a Casio piano to get my battery dock fixed. The first time I called they acted as if they misplaced my product. The phone agent was searching for a watch although I told them I had a piano. The majority of phone agents sounded sleepy and annoyed. In terms of my piano, they took about 1 month and 3 weeks to actually send it back. What do you know? When they sent it back the piano was still broken. They told me that I could send it in again. I got Casio MT-G Atomic Time Module #2638 at Walmart. I took back to get battery replaced. They unscrewed the back and springs went all over and the back gasket was. I sent what I left to Time Machine. They received on 9/4/2007. They sent postcard to me on 9/6/2007 with price of $37.01 including shipping. I called and gave my CC # and said they would shipped 9/14/2007 which was wrong they shipped 9/11/2007!!! They didn't charged my card till they shipped it on 9/11/2007.
