I absolutely love this place. As I was staying in Burien for business, my Airbnb host recommended checking out downtown Burien and Tin Room in particular. The first night I sat at the bar on your left after you walk in - let's call it the left bar for purposes of this review. Left bar was busy and full of locals. The food and drinks were fantastic and all of the staff was really friendly. I decided I liked everything so much that I went back the next night. Left bar was full, so I went to right bar. Right bar was even better than left bar! The bartender was super friendly and made one of the best cocktails I've ever had. The food was also even better than what I had the first night. One of the coolest and interesting bars/eateries in the 152nd Ave part of Burien. Surrounded by interesting small business owned shops, bars, eateries, this little spot definitely has a great location. Great spot in the summertime because there are small tables in front of the bar for eating and drinking! Inside is quaint and small. Feels like a pub with a open friendly atmosphere. Service is good. It can get quite busy on a weekday evening as well as a weekend evening. My friends said their meatloaf dish is the best, and our waitress said this is the best menu item. This dish was presented beautifully with a modern take on meatloaf - good size portion with wonderfully colored steamed veggies. For my dish, I chose the appetizer cheese and chicken quesdilla. It was nicely seasoned and of good quality. The price was a bit high $8.95 for a appetizer. What a nice place this is - for drinks, good food and atmosphere. They have outdoor seating too. We highly recommend this place. Based on two recent visits: the chicken, apple and romaine salad was good. Chicken Picatta was amazing, as was the cajun shrimp pasta (but it came with angel hair pasta instead of the advertised penne pasta). Drinks: manhattan excellent, as was the summer sangria. This place is totally decent. I actually love the concept of the Tin Room and the staff are great, totally professional. Our food tonight was fine. I was served a dish that smelled off. I complained. They dealt the way they should have. Second Manhattan was watered down. I'm a snob, especially when paying more than $10 for something that goes down the hatch. Some of us can tell the difference. I know some customers don't notice/ don't complain. I didn't tonight, but I will say here very clearly - any MF serves me a cocktail that's watered down, I'm calling it out. Again, I like this place and it's a corner stone of Burien. One of the three stars I'm giving is support for a business that I want to succeed. Normally it's a little better than what I'm representing today. I think the virus era and all the other TrumpBullShit in the world, they get a half pass. However, in this virus era, I will either see this place enforcing the mask rule on customers or we will not return. We have been coming here since they opened. Dan the owner is down to earth and Customer oriented. They change their menu off and on so you need to judge based on time and not a one shot deal. The chef is a great guy who knows what hes doing. He makes the best Ribs or I guess St. Louis Ribs anywhere near Burien. Come by and check it out. We've been grabbing take out occasionally during this quarantine, and the Tin Room has been our favorite experience so far! I love that we didn't have to go inside to get our food, we could just park right there and pick up from the sidewalk (they have windows open to the sidewalk). They were super friendly and accommodating when we had two orders going to two different households (as a Mother's Day gift). And they even threw in a little surprise gift in one of the bags. The Tin Room Bar has some seriously great chill, drinks and food. We started the evening with a few cocktails and received great service at the bar. We ordered the jambalaya and the meatloaf. The barkeep said the meatloaf has been the number one selling dish for 13 years. It's good. It's really good. Overcooked then charred. The mushroom gravy was top notch and it's served with asparagus. The jambalaya could be a little spicier, but that's a matter of preference. The shrimp were huge and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The highlight of our meal was the house-made keylime pie. Yes. Key lime pie made in Washington. I'm from Florida. Tin Room has the best key lime pie I've ever had in my life. This is a must eat! read more

The food was fine, not memorable by far. Mediocre would describe it best. Service was iffy. New bartender who didn't seem to know what went into fairly easy cocktails that are staples of the business. He took my order then didn't pour my beer. Apparently thought the other bartender was aware of my order. A fairly substantial wait ensued. I ordered and waited. I had clear sight of the kitchen which was 8 feet away. I've been to Tin Room maybe 6x over the last year and I enjoy the unique set up and that I'm almost always able to sit down right away and get great service. I've only done drinks, they have a rotating list of beers which have a good range of lights to darks. They also feature a solid cocktail menu. I primarily have ordered the Old Fashioned or a beer. There's 2 bar sections split and a space in back with tables low & high. It's a cool place and good, dim lighting. My first visit a long time ago was a quiet afternoon at the bar. A good burger was had. This night was pretty good. We didn't plan on HH but because it was only 2 min away, whyyy not. We get the popcorn, steak burger, pizza(?) and fries. I get a Guinness beer, mmm... The waitress was good. Later, when I asked for the popcorn to-go (it had a neat and convenient 'popcorn movie container' and also big portion for $), she took it to for the box. A true throw back, the new addition to the local favorite the Tin Room has expanded with their addition of the Tin Cellars. Smaller (believe it or not) than it's counter part, Tin Cellars offers a intimate gathering spot that makes you feel that you have your own little hide away in an exclusive hideaway that welcomes everyone. This is a bar only, no seating at tables but you can still order from the Tin Room menu. The cocktails are still outstanding as their standard. I have never had a better sidecar... and I keep looking but you still hold the title in my book Mr. Tin Room Bartender. Come for the drinks, stay for the friends and food and enjoy the decor. Last night was our first visit to the Tin Room. It was hopping, and the atmosphere was friendly and very casual. We had a cheeseburger and shrimp tacos, respectively. Both were excellent. This is a mixed review... We've gone to the Tin Room only for drinks previously and it was a nice place, great atmosphere, drinks a bit spendy, but OK. Our last visit, we actually had dinner there. I wasn't very hungry so I got a side of their fries which are pretty good. In addition I got the Calamari appetizer. It was almost the worst Calamari I have ever had! What seemed like NO seasoning on the calamari or in the crust , nor in the aioli. And the calamari was over cooked and rubbery. I'm told these were even some special Alaskan calamari they had got in. My wife had the steak sandwich and she said it was good The service is pretty good, though on a previous visit a waitress did spill a Lemon Drop all over my wife while she was pouring it at the table. She got a new drink made, but there was no compensation for leaving the bar with half a drink on her clothes. The Tin Room is a nice place, but be selective about what you order. read more

I can't say enough about the Tin Room Bar & Theater in Olde Burien. The owner and host, Danny House bops about attending to his patrons needs. Last night was busy so the only seats available were next to a drafty window. Danny saw the problem, had us look over the menus, but hold tight. Sure enough a more comfortable table was secured. The food is inventive and delicious. The drinks are made with fresh-squeezed fruits - no mixes are used. The atmosphere is loud and festive. Old time movies play in the outdoor courtyard and each night the tiny theater adjacent to the bar plays movies, typically those just ending their first Cineplex runs. Our waiter Greg was on top of everything from the very start to the very end. They get very busy and it gets extremely loud. You won't be able to hear yourself talking.
