This was my wife and I's first time eating here. Super cute place! We welcomed with smiles and felt safe amongst the pride flags all around. We also thought hey! BTown is perfect for a couple bisexuals , lol. My only issue is how unbelievably disappointing this burger was. I ordered the American Cheeseburger with onion only and added a fried egg. She had the huevos con chorizo and we ordered 2 diet cokes. It is advertised as a 1/4 lb patty, but as you can see in the photo it's about the same thickness of the fry. Very very thin. Think McDouble size. Our waitperson asked if "medium" was my preferred doneness to which I said yes. What arrived was this very hard and dry sad little patty. It was served but it did not give. Seemed as if they were trying to do a smash burger but with a preformed patty. I ended up eating the fried egg, onions and bun, and some of the fries. I gave my wife my wallet to pay while I went outside for a moment. A different waitperson came and my wife told them about my burger and that it was disappointing. Their response was that It was my fault for not ordering it dressed because that's what makes the bun/ it juicy? And that if we came back again, they promised it wouldn't be like that. To be honest I don't think we will be back, but perhaps this was just an off day for the grill cook? It's always a bit of a let down spending $40+(including tip) for only half of your order being correct and then to be blamed for the other half. We came here on a whim after playing frisbee golf nearby. It was Sunday afternoon and there were probably only two other parties eating inside. I ordered some tacos (haven't had any since moving here from LA) and I'd say these tacos are good. I had it with the salsa roja which had a nice flavor to it, not too spicy but it had a bite at the end. I'd definitely come back so I can try the other items on the menu . Food is ok. The dressing they use over the bowls seems to be mayo based... not my favorite dressing for salmon. Salmon bowl is $24 & then they charge an additional $.60 per take our order. We had three dishes & they charged me $1.80 for the plastic bag to carry my order in, it seems excessive. I understand everything is more pricy now days but all the food in one bag, so why not charge for a single plastic bag. The food is not so good that its worth the hidden fees. I love this place! Seating is comfortable and easy. Servers are friendly and it's located in the heart of downtown burien. I frequent this place often, food is always good. Portion sizes are awesome too! Every once in a while I try other dishes on the menu; however, my go to is the shrimp tacos. It never gets boring or old. She was very attentive and asked if we wanted ice in our water, offered sauces, and refills throughout our visit. I honestly think best service that I've experienced in a long time. Food was pretty good- I appreciated the assortment of sauces available. Coffee was ok. I got a cheeseburger and it was tasty. Fries seemed nicely seasoned. Rest of the table ordered sopitas, carne asada fries, and the carne asada tacos. They forgot the tortillas but quickly corrected it without asking. I was told that the carne asada had a very generous amount of cheese sauce and meat, that the the sopitas had a good flavor, and that the tacos were good too. We have ordered food twice from Halo Grill. The first order, shrimp tacos, chicken teriyaki and fish and chips was delicious. The second order, Reuben and double smash burger, not so good. We had to order sides, which we didn't want. The Reuben was good, but the smash burger was awful. There was so much sauce on it that it was impossible to pick up and eat. Multiple napkins were required. The meat was over-powered by the sauces to the point that it was tasteless. So disappointing. The fries were soggy, but the dog liked them. read more

I tried B-Town Halo Grill today. I would say it is good not great. I ordered the Sweet & Sour Prime Steak bowl. Highs: For lunch it was a good portion and the vegetables were fresh. Slaw was tasty. Spicy and flavorful. Lows: Meat says "prime" but very chewy/overcooked and once piece was all fat. And the price was the hardest party. I only got this dish and with tax and tip (15% i might add as very simple service) it came out to be $20+. For lunch. $20. Stung. I want to support the local tenant but wow, that is just too much for a take out lunch. read more

Really excited to have this place in the neighborhood! So many menu options. We tried the chicken teriyaki bowl and a bacon cheeseburger. Both were excellent. Teriyaki was flavorful, chicken was cooked well, and really liked that it comes with a good mix of both veg/salad and rice. The burger was also good, liked the bun and sauce, crispy bacon, and the fries were great! Nice and crispy even though we got it to go. Will definitely be back to try other options, and imagine this will get added in to the regular lunch rotation. Give it a try! read more
