We enjoyed an early lunch here with our friends who were also camping at the Jetty Park Campground. The cafe kitchen was transitioning from their breakfast service to lunch so our wonderful server Tonia made us aware of this after we were seated before placing our food orders telling us there would be a short wait which was not a problem. This cafe is connected to the bait and tackle shop and shares the same building but appears to be ran as a separate business both were very clean and organized and all the employees here were very friendly and outgoing. This menu is fairly simple making our decisions very easy, we choose the chicken tenders and turkey bacon club both came with fries. Once the food arrived we were all surprised by the portion size, so much food for such a reasonable price and everything arrived hot and delicious. Our server provided exceptional service throughout our visit she was very attentive and kept our drinks filled. This was the worst experience ever. We arrived at the location at 930 we then stood online for a half hour with only 2 tables to be seated in front of us. we finally sat down at 10am. The waitress finally cam oer and took our order. We waited and waited saw a few tables get served but not us. After an hour she finally approached to say I lost your ticked for breakfast. We never got served and we flipped out at that point and left. We were in total shock. She didnt even offer to buy us breakfast and put a new order in after waiting 1.30 minutes. This was our go-to breakfast spot while staying at the Jetty Campground. It's nothing fancy, but the food is yummy, the service is friendly and the outside view is nice. My group went two mornings in a row, and it was very enjoyable. The coffee is just what we needed, and the portions of our meals were mighty. We had the pleasure of being served by Tonia on both occasions. She made us feel right at home. She was also right about the biscuits. They are large, fluffy and fresh. So good! read more

Considering it's inside Jetty Park and is the only option within walking distance to the fishing pier and the beach, I was expecting much so when I took a bite of the breakfast burrito: WOW. I saw some reviews that said the breakfast burrito was too spicy or too bland but I didn't find that at all. I actually added hot sauce to mind and added the salsa and sour cream that came on the side. I order the shrimp and grits to go which came with a biscuit and that too was delicious. I tend to like my shrimp and grits with a sauce but there was so much flavor that you really didn't need. Definitely coming back to this spot. Service was a little slow but the food is made to order and is piping hot, just the way I like it. Despite the slow service, I would definitely come back. My favorite restaurant! We walk on the beach 2 1/2 miles to get here. We eat on the deck and saw dolphins this year! The servers are so nice! The food is phenomenal! We were staying at Jetty Park campground, got up early to see the sunrise then came here for breakfast. The pancakes and bacon were delicious and my wife's Shrimp and cheese grits were also excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. But what we didn't expect was a show. It was Saturday morning, and we sat outside on the porch with a view of the boat launch ramps. We must have watched 50 fishing boats launch. He told me that one year the fish just weren't interested and that he and his brother were looking at the bait bucket and getting hungry. They were using Japanese Mackerel for bait, otherwise known as Aji at a Sushi joint (one of their favorites). One mention of this to the patriarch and before you know it the three of them were chowing down on the bait. The crew looked on in stunned silence as the three of them scarfed the whole bucket down in a matter of minutes. Why do I bring this up? Well, that was what I was thinking when the name of the next place appeared on my random name generator Water's Edge Cafe and Tackle Shop. This place had been and still is a tackle shop. Back in 2017, someone got the bright idea to forage into the foodservice industry and opened a cafe attached to the bait shop. Upon entering, I felt like I was in the local Walmart as they had just about everything needed for fishing of any kind for sale all over the place. This is some tackle shop! However, the items for sale seemed to have been at least partly venal as they had 3 tables open, three waiters and I sat for four minutes (which is an eternity in an empty place). I was finally shown a table and handed a menu. The cafe is only open for breakfast and lunch with limited operating hours. The menu was, as you can see, varied without being too visionary. Hey, if it's your first foray into the biz, I always say, "keep it simple." My waitress was Kelsey and I am on a roll lately with wait staff as she has a great personality and just oozes gregariousness. I asked her for some shrimp and grits along with an order of Corned beef hash. As she left to turn in my order, I took the time to look about. The place has gorgeous views of a cruise ship today and the waterway every day. Returning with my order, Kelsey asked if I needed anything else then left me to enjoy my meal along with the aforementioned view. The grits were fresh, creamy and cooked to perfection while I found the shrimp to be tender and succulent on the palate. The Corned beef hash was obviously made with care and was bursting with flavor while I found the home fries to be made to order and entirely delectable. The biscuit was also made to order and would make any Grandma double-check her recipe. Honestly, I went in expecting a thoroughly milquetoast tasting experience and came away completely in love with the place. This is our first Hidden Gem since the post-Covid return of The Big Boy and I can't recommend the place enough. In truth, the only downside was that everything was served in take-out containers (no doubt due to Covid). Eh. It was okay. Not my favorite to be honest. My husband says his burger and cole slaw was good. My mahi sandwich was very salty and there was a lot more butter on the bun than I'd like. We are locals, and tried for the first time the Water's Edge Cafe. We will be back! Family from GA had tried it while staying at Jetty Park and loved it. Quiet outdoor seating with views of the boats/rockets coming in and out of the Port. Indoor seating also, just off the bait shop. Very clean! Limited menu but with excellent food quality. I had the Shrimp PoBoy, my husband had the blackened mahi. Both with delish perfect fries. Dad had the Country Fried Steak with biscuits & gravy. And a bowl of fresh fruit. I got this place mixed up with backwater. This particular place is in the port of cape Canaveral , cool location. It's attached to a bait shop with minimal hired help. Everyone was very friendly and doing their best. There were tables available but all needed to be bussed and wiped down. The menu was extremely limited and just basic. Well this is certainly a nice new addition to our area. The Water's Edge has promise to be the fun spot to hang out at the end of the day and watch the 'goat rodeo' at the boat ramp, once a position held by Grills before the boat ramp moved. I had the Cuban, and even though it was August, I ate outside because there was a constant ocean breeze to keep things manageable. I love a good Cuban, and this one hit almost all the high notes. The bread didn't have the traditional hard-crisp pressed bread, but I'm guessing that is fine for most of the people who don't want to hurt the top of their mouths biting into a traditional Cuban. All the flavors were there, nice smoked pulled pork, sliced ham, Swiss Cheese, pickle and mustard and a buttery Cuban (french) bread. Great flavor. I'm also a huge fan of the parm pasta side. I could eat it as a main course. Looking forward to trying the other sides. They have brewed ice tea, which I demand from anyone serving lunch. Everyone on the patio seemed to be enjoying their meals. Nice open spot, making a pleasant escape from the crowded Cove. Only CON is the fence. I sat at the end of the porch as the front end was filled. If they just angled off the first 3 sections, that would be great. Cute little place added on to the side of the bait and tackle shop. We did a brisk 10 minute walk from the Holiday Inn Resort to get there. There was a sign showing service may be slower because of extra customers there to see the rocket launch. (the same reason we were there) Entertaining to sit on the deck and watch all of the boats being launched, ships going out, and the bonus of seeing the rocket launch. Also saw dolphins. We ordered basic breakfast foods, pancakes, eggs, French toast, and an omelette. Everything was good.
