This is a beautifully decorated restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. The pool is directly outside. The restaurant itself isn't large which makes our experience so strange. I made a reservation for 6 at 1:30 pm on Mother's Day. When we arrived, we waited 10 -15 minutes in the host line before we were greeted. This, coupled with the fact there were lots of empty tables that had not been bussed, let me know that the restaurant was not equipped to handle the volume of customers and was in the weeds. When we told the host we were a party of 6 with a reservation, he seemed surprised and distraught - immediately leaving to bus one of the tables. A quality restaurant would have expected us and had our table prepared prior to our arrival. Multiple people in our party mentioned the host's frantic demeanor. I don't blame him - it was clear the restaurant was overwhelmed, despite so many empty tables. Was the kitchen backed up? We were sat at the table and the server was very pleasant - a very nice woman. She brought out the water - tap water which smelled and tasted a little funny. I would have expected filtered or bottled water, especially when the tap water quality was poor. At this point, given the above, we decided to leave. If the experience up to this point was not up to par, we didn't want to take our chances. We've seen too many Kitchen Nightmares episodes to take the risk. Chaos in the front of house is normally correlated to chaos in the back. Hopefully the restaurant takes our constructive criticisms to heart and tries to make some improvements. I need to hit up Cocoa Beach more often. As Jersey kids, this area fills the need for local vibes while offering a fun, Florida charm. Their service was incredibly friendly and patient with our family. And the mix of shrimp and steak options filled us up right. We ate at Starlite at the Hilton Garden Inn in Cocoa Beach while we were there for a quick little family staycation, and I just wanted to take a minute to recognize how great our experience was -- especially because of our waitress, Allie. Allie was honestly fantastic. She was super accommodating and attentive, but never in a way that felt like too much. She checked on us at all the right times and made us feel taken care of without hovering. She really knew the menu too, which I always appreciate. When we asked for suggestions, she gave thoughtful recommendations that ended up being exactly right for what we were in the mood for. What meant the most to me as a mom was how patient she was with our kids. She listened to every order (and all the little modifications that come with kids ), and the food came out exactly how we asked for it -- which tells me she was really paying attention. In today's world, it feels like genuinely good service is harder and harder to find, especially when you're traveling. So when you do get it, it stands out. A visit to the sleepy Cocoa Beach was extra sleepy after Hurricane Milton. While many places were closed, The Starlite said they had just got (non-generator) power restored earlier in the day -- but none of that stopped their friendly welcome. Several entrees on the menu looked amazing: churrasco with chimichurri, mahi mahi sandwich with mango, bacon burger house-ground from short ribs and chuck... We both were drawn to the fresh-catch fish and chips. Snapper was the day's choice and the Starlite's kitchen minded the texture well: crispy battered exterior and mega-juicy interior. (So it seemed fresh by flavor and texture tho given the storm we don't know whether it truly was "daily caught.") Substituting the yuca fries for the chips was no extra cost, and were also perfect texture: crispy and fluffy. The cilantro dressing for dipping was nom-nom worthy-- and also scrumptious on the fish even though they also served up a pickle tartar and malt vinegar to table as well. We would've got the key lime pie for dessert but we already had eaten the dark-chocolate-dipped frozen key lime pie slices from a nearby shop. 4 stars because of the staff that I encountered when I entered the space. The first person that interacted with me told me that the restaurant was closed until five. She said the pool bar was open until the restaurant open. I came back in around 5 o'clock, and the other waitress that greeted me, told me that the restaurant was open all day. I was frustrated. We had breakfast and lunch here over 2 days. Food and service were excellent! Breakfast pancakes were wonderfully light, with just a hint of a "little crisp" around the circle. Like Mom used to make. My bf and I stayed at the hotel for the weekend and had lunch here on Sunday afternoon. Our server was very nice, I can't remember his name though! I'm staying here for a mouth for a business trip and must say This hotel Hilton Garden Inn Cocoa Beach Oceanfront is by far the best in Cocoa Beach Florida. My 2nd time here. So much parking. This is such a beautiful hotel. The rooms are beautiful. They have a refrigerator and a microwave and a balcony. They have an arcade, a restaurant and even a Starbucks, a gym and even an area you can rent out for huge meetings or gatherings Front desk/ bartenders/ kitchen staff and server Ashley are very professional and polite. Bacon cheeseburger is a much do here in Starlite restaurant on the first floor. They have a pool, outside tiki bar(great margaritas) dock that gives you direct access to the beach with an outside showers to rinse away the beach sand. Only thing is they have NO jacuzzi. :/ still doesn't come close this hotel is it. Still got 2 more weeks :) looking forward to it. read more

We recently stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Cocoa Beach for a couple days before we got on a cruise. The Startlite Restaurant & Pool Bar is the restaurant at the hotel. On our first evening we decided to eat there because it was convenient. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server. The menu, while not extensive, had some great looking offerings, all at very reasonable prices. This particular evening I opted for salmon, the wife had Tuscan Chicken (as I recall). Both were served with rice. Food delivery was a bit long. Probably between 15 and 20 minutes, but the food was hot and accurate when we got it. The salmon was 100% AMAZEBALLS. I've eaten a lot of salmon in a lot of places, and this is definitely in the top 5% For breakfast I was intrigued by the Chorizo Eggs Benedict. **I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED**. Oh My Freakin' Gawd, that was delicious! Starlite has a very open, breezy feeling to it. There's a lot of natural light (you are on the ocean), and the walls are decorated to make you feel outside and very...beach-y. The server pace, in our experience, was a bit laid back. I wouldn't suggest dining here if you're in a hurry and don't be too hopeful if you're looking for a drink refill and you're dying of thirst. I'm hoping to visit Starlite again some time, if only for the Chorizo Eggs Benedict. That is definitely a star maker! read more

This restaurant is at the Hilton Harden Inn, Cocoa Beach Oceanfront. We are staying at the hotel and so far have had dinner and breakfast here. Wow. The food is very good. All very flavorful and delicious. Like the casual vibe and loved the high tops by the window to the pool for dinner. Very intimate. But, the real star here is the service. Every single person at this place seems genuinely happy to be working here and making your experience wonderful. For our breakfast, both Shannon and Apple were wonderful!! We went for the Boozy Brunch, which we've been meaning to do since they rolled it out. We weren't let down! Nikki was our server and she was great! Very attentive and conversational. Bottomless mimosas for $15? Sign me up. They even brought out a bottle of champagne just for the asking (yes, we polished it off and one more). I had the chicken and waffles with prosciutto gravy, which was excellent! The saltiness of the prosciutto and the sweetness of the maple syrup was spot-on. My wife had the carnitas skillet, but asked to sub chorizo for the carnitas, and they were more than accommodating, making it a nice and spicy skillet. The manager stopped by and was super-nice. Everyone was very attentive and service proceeded smoothly and quickly. We went there once before they became "Starlite" and the remodel shows; very updated and modern.
