We headed right to Cocoa Beach after we landed in Orlando. We were really hungry, so we decided to try The Tiny Turtle--and we are so glad we did! Our server was so friendly, and got to our table quickly. We ordered drinks while we tried to figure out what to eat. The kids got meals from the kids menu--a pork quesadilla and a cheeseburger, both with black bean rice on the side. My husband and I shared the Sofrito Burrito with roasted island pork, and we had to try it "wet style" (with more of all the sauces on top--YUM!). Food was so flavorful and fresh! I saw the nachos going to another table, and those looked awesome, too! Glad we stopped in. HIGHY RECOMMEND!

We stumbled upon The Tiny Turtle when looking for a place to grab a late lunch after going to the Brevard Zoo and are so happy we did. It's 5 stars all around! Our server Grace and the other staff were great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The front patio is a great place to chillax with some apps and cool refreshing beverages.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a nice buffer of trees so you don't feel like you're sitting right on the sidewalk.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Sofrito bowl with Mahi Mahi was amazing. The black bean rice with the guacamole and beach slaw worked so well together. Topping it with perfectly cooked Mahi completely put it over the top. I loved the way all the flavors complimented each other. The chicken and cheese empanadas were freshly cooked and tasted great. We can't wait to go back!

Small carribean inspired spot. I stopped in on a Monday during lunch hours in the off season. It was slow so the food arrived to my table quickly. I ordered a small sofrito nacho plate with mahi mahi. It had a hint of spice but was mostly covered in wet sauces. I love condiments & I love a saucy dish but it was a bit much with salsa, guacamole, sour cream & some type of house sauce. It all kind of overpowered the meal. It didn't really hit the spot for me. Menu is intentionally small and somewhat the same dish served in different ways; burrito, salad, bowl, nachos, etc. Service was great! Very friendly and welcoming.

Pros: Ambiance is very cool. Very beachy, semi-tiki, mellow and chill. There's a nice outdoor patio dining room that we sat in, covered to keep the sun out. Service was pretty good. Our server was nice enough, and the food came out in no time. No concerns there. As for the food, it was simple, but delicious. Who knew that adding some Island seasoning to some basic dishes can really make them pop? Cons: The server, who struck me as a manager, didn't have a good working knowledge of the drink menu at all, but we made due. Tips: Get the nachos, and get the catch of the day on them. If you've never had fish nachos before, you will love them. Also, get the burrito if you like burritos. Some breakfast burritos fall kind of flat and are disappointing, but these were gooood.

We came here one day while we were exploring the Space Coast a little bit. We have a buddy who lives out there, so we parked by his condo and walked over here to the Tiny Turtle. We chose the Turtle because it landed on the best places to eat in the US in 2024, which is a pretty prestigious list, so we were pretty excited. Ambiance was sooo chill. It's right next door to the best ice cream on the coast, the Fat Donkey. Thatched roof, tiki stuff, lots of outdoor seating. Nice vibes. Service was prompt and mostly the same: chill, beachy, islandy. Very nice lady. She struck me as the owner, or at least management. As for the food, we opened up with an appetizer. We got the nachos and for the protein, we chose the catch of the day, I think it was mahi that day. No one I was with had had fish nachos before, but they quickly became fans. The fish flaked well, and there were plentiful toppings that were layered well. It was also not a very large dish, so you didn't have to ration your protein too much. You could just eat and enjoy. I moved on to my main entrée, the Triple T Toastie (Scrambled eggs, white American cheese, shredded cheese, potato sticks, and Creme Caribe pressed in Sobao bread. Choice of veggies, bacon, sausage or ham. - Upgrade to all 3 meats). Of course I upgraded to all three meats. Very good sandwich. Excellent, quality fillings, bread that was pressed hard and delicious, and it was large enough to contain all the fillings and not be leaking out and falling out everywhere. A well crafted sandwich, paired well with the potato sticks that added a very satisfying crunch. I also got to eat half of a Wake up Burrito Scrambled eggs, potato hash, Queso Caribe, guacamole, sour cream, roasted tomatillo sauce, and Creme Caribe. Choice of bacon, sausage, chorizo, ham, Roasted Island Pork). Very good burrito, stuffed to the brim, and able to be picked up by hand, which was good, I don't like knife and fork breakfast burritos. Overall, this was a super chill, super cozy little place that can offer you a delicious breakfast before you head out to get your beach on. Or where you can send a runner to get some takeout and bring it to you while you're On the beach. Really nice. I hope to come back one day.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place had such a cool vibe and the food was delicious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. we were new in town and wanted to get a unique experience after our beach trip. We stumble into this unique gem and did not disappoint. I had the sofrito bowl with roasted island pork, I initially orders the small size and regretted thinking I should've gone for the bigger size but the small was more than enough. The rest of my party ordered the sofrito burrito and they were all very impressed.

Holy crap this place has such big portions, but I am loving it! My husband and I ordered the sofrito bowl and cuban to split, and it was honestly so much food. We left feeling STUFFED - but it's hard to complain when the food was delicious. No regrets! The Cuban had a lot of meat and soft bread, which I appreciated because I don't like my sandwich bread to be too hard and painful to eat. For the sofrito bowl, I recommend getting the plantain and coleslaw as the added sides! I will definitely be returning!

We love it here! Even with all the bar options nearby, this is our go-to. It's never overly crowded and the employees are friendly and attentive. We have loved the empanadas and I had a DELICIOUS wrap today. The plantains seemed well cooked and were super good. Yum!

A Hidden Gem with Caribbean Flavor! We've been to Cocoa Beach many times and somehow never heard of Tiny Turtle--but now we'll never forget it. A few locals recommended it to us on separate occasions, so we finally checked it out--and we're so glad we did! The food was excellent--we had the Tripleta sandwich and the cheesesteak, both absolutely mouthwatering. The bread was soft and fresh, and the flavors were spot on. The menu has a Latin-Caribbean flair, thanks to the Puerto Rican chef, and it really shows in the seasoning and creativity. Service was great--Murphy took care of us and made the experience even better. The beers were ice cold, and we were excited to see Medalla, a local Puerto Rican beer, on the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was quiet when we arrived--so quiet we almost left--but we came between lunch and dinner, so we get it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Still, this place deserves to be packed. We've learned they've been around for about 12 years, and now we'll be recommending them just like the locals did with us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Don't miss this spot. This is my second review one year later and the food is just as good. We've never eaten inside the restaurant as we always get it to go but the inside is a cool vibe with the bar room separate from the dining area. They have local art for sale as well as some merch and souvenirs. We called for pickup right at the transition from breakfast to lunch so our order took about 30 minutes from call to out the door. We will be back again to try the breakfast burrito, but this time got a pork and a chicken Sofrito burrito. They're so good every time. I really hope this place stays in business!

Had a gift card so we came here and sat at the bar. After we ordered our food and drinks, the bartender let us know they were closing. I wish they let us know before we ordered. Looked at the menu on here and liked it so we went. BUT it was Sunday so they offered brunch. I love brunch; Breakfast, lunch, you decide! My son got Mac and cheese bacon pancakes, so totally a mix of both worlds (that said the maple syrup came on top, not on the side). We also got mahi mahi tacos, tripleta sandwich, and sofrito burrito. All thumbs up! The Tiny Turtle has seating out front, out back, or inside the restaurant. We took our lunch outback. The patio was cool (temperate) with games and places for photos. They also had an island style band playing live music. The service was quick and the style seems like any staff helps all tables. I personally like this communal care as you don't have to wait for one person to bring you something. So another big thumbs up as drink refills and boxes for leftovers came to the table very quickly. read more

Great food, great atmosphere, and very friendly service! The Mac n cheese stuffed pancakes were a knockout, one of the best sweet and savory breakfast items I've ever had! Also loved their sofrito bowl with chicken. The chicken and rice were well-seasoned and fresh, and went very well with the sauces on top. The tripleta was also very good but we thought it was a bit on the dry side and would've been even better with some cheese and more sauce. Seems like more than a year since the last time we were here. We've missed coming down to Cocoa Beach out past few trips. Especially for a meal here. Last day in Florida and came down here before going to the airport. Forgot about warm, sunny days around a beach - traffic was crazy. But we're here, not busy so easy to find our seat. A wet style Sofrito Burrito with Steak Tips for me and a small Sofrito Bowl. Sadly, prices have gone up significantly since our last visit, another victim of out of control inflation. Really sad service today...I don't understand why the management did not staff better for a festival day . We sat for 10 minutes with no one coming to our table. My husband had to go ask for menus and still we didn't get any response. When the waitress finally came to the floor she went directly to the table of 6 that came in well after us . I got the nachos they were really good with steak. My wife got a wrap it was shrimp. She normally doesn't get the coleslaw or like it, but for some reason she enjoyed this places. Needless to say we like this place and will probably take our daughter back there when she gets home from college. Too bad they're not going to be open for lunch on turkey trot day. read more

We really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere here. Good tiki, island vibe and great food. We were there for breakfast and ordered the Wake Up Burrito with chorizo and it's big enough to share! However, we brought 1/2 of it home and ate it the next day. It's loaded with scrambled eggs, potatoes, cheese etc. delicious. We also got the Rise 'n Shine bowl which was also really good. Took well over 2 hours to get our food and the restaurant was not even busy. Staff were not very kind and brought out incorrect orders. For example, we ordered chips and instead received fries. Overall, a very poor experience and recommend spending your time and money at an alternative restaurant. read more

Actually parked in front of this establishment but was looking to get an ice cream at the Fat Donkey. Turns out they were closed on Tuesdays. Queued up the Tiny Turtle on Yelp and saw it had a good following. Sat at the bar (because it's just that kind of day for me cruising Cocoa Beach. Ordered the Tiny Turtle beverage; quite yummy. Tue bartender had his hustle on and was busy. Being In a dessert frame of mind I ordered the peanut butter chocolate rum cake. Thank goodness I do intermittent fasting to offset all this sugar intake. Sugar coma here I come! Ok the dessert was from frozen and not homemade so it was okay. Always appreciate homemade and fresh where possible. But I understand that dessert might not be their specialty. They get four stars for great service and yummy beverages. read more

My wife and I ate breakfast here yesterday morning. It was not crowded around 8:15 AM. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. TTT has a cute vibe. I had the stuffed French toast, which was good. My wife had the banana pancakes with fruit coulis, which was excellent. The portions were substantial. My wife could only eat half of her three pancakes. It would be nice if they offered a 2-pancake option at a slightly lower cost. The coffee was good, not great. Our only criticism is that the food and the coffee could have both come out a little hotter. read more

Wish I was spending more time in Cocoa Beach because I definitely would come back here. Had heard great things about their breakfast and was able to stop by this morning to get a couple of their breakfast burritos to go. The restaurant is just off one of the main roads and is super cute. Walking inside it's a seat yourself situation or you can walk up to the counter to order to-go. Excellent food, everything was very fresh. We sat in the big, open-air palapa behind the restaurant. We had our beautiful dog, Ace, with us and he was very comfortable. Had a fantastic dinner at the Tiny Turtle tonight. The food was excellent and the service was even better. From the moment we got there, Grace our server was attentive and super helpful with suggestions, advice, portion size, menu options and changes we made to match our special diets (low carb and low gluten, etc.). I found this place while I was at Cocoa Beach for a couple nights. It's a really laid back environment. There was a mix of Spanish and reggae music playing that gave it a cool vibe. We came for the ice cream at The Fat Donkey and saw this place right next door. It looked like somewhere we'd like to try, but I wish we just stuck to the ice cream. The food was no where good enough for the price we paid. Our server was very pleasant, although very soft spoke. We did ask for straws for our beverages, but she never brought them and we decided not to ask again. The Cuban sandwich was very lacking in flavor as well as missing pickles and potato sticks. The ham was one very thin slice of highly processed prepackaged ham. Don't get this sandwich. The PB&J bbq pork sliders were another big miss. There was no hint of PB at all, just a very odd and sweet BBQ sauce. The top of the buns had a significant burn make on top that was rock hard - you can kind of tell if you really look at the pictures. Not what I was hoping for, especially after reading the reviews that this was the item you should order. Our youngest got the four cheese bacon melt with the tomato and creme on the side. He liked it. I tried a bite. It was a very cheesy grilled cheese sandwich. It was good, but very over priced at $7.99 for just the sandwich. Our oldest got the large sofrito bowl with roasted island pork. This is the only item worth actually ordering. All in all, not worth stopping here in my opinion. History

Established in 2013.

Inspired by his Grandmother's and Mother's cooking, the flavorful Sofrito base of Puerto Rico, and his own restaurant experiences, Chef Moises has created a menu and environment that will transport you to an island experience full of flavor and a laid back feeling. Opening during the famed Art Show that happens every year in Downtown Cocoa Beach as what was called Food Truck Style, being just a kitchen on the back of a building with a patio and picnic tables for seating, it has now evolved into a full service restaurant but still giving that feeling of a small local "Hidden Gem".

Meet the Business Owner: Moises y Kelly C.

Born in Puerto Rico Moises' family moved to Florida in the 80's spending the first couple years in South Florida and then relocating to Central Florida. Always having the dream of owning his own restaurant he was given the opportunity after meeting a good friend a couple years after moving to Cocoa Beach. He had spent 2 years prior to the start of The Tiny Turtle gaining knowledge and experience in the restaurant field. Each opportunity he grew into lead cook, managing the kitchen and creating new menu items. He has been surrounded by many, including his wife Kelly, that have all had a part at helping him fulfill his dream and is forever grateful for the love and support.

They also have candies, salt water taffies of all flavors, beer, alligator jerky, Tortuga rum cakes, key lime pies, a huge wall of hot sauces, and gifts. I ended up walking out with a bottle of hot sauce and orange blossom perfume roller ball, which was very nice. Prices were reasonable given this is tourist-town.

Overall, this is definitely a spot worth trying if you're in Cocoa Beach and want something different. There's a lot on the menu, and we'll definitely be back.

The starters we chose were delicious! Shared Mexican Street Corn Deviled Egg, Cornbread was amazing along with the the Crab appetizer which was delicious!! For dinner my husband had the Duck. He LOVED it! Had fresh blackberries with a Pomegranate glaze and duck confit hash. I had the Corvina fish. It featured a pineapple salsa along with Mofongo. Amazing. Such a delicious dish. My grandson got the Dirty rice with shrimp and scallops. So good! Absolutely delicious! We finished with delectable desserts which we shared - Key lime pie, Chocolate Pave - so luxurious, and Lemon Blueberry Crumb Cake. What a special night we had. Unfortunately a lot of the execution fell a bit flat, especially after both the menu and it's prices had set our expectations otherwise. The amuse bouche was definitely a palate awakener.. a mix of olive tapenade and vinegary mustard. It wasn't for us, but if the goal was to wake up our mouths, it worked. Then hubs had the scallop appetizer with bacon maple marmalade. He thought it was too sweet, I didn't mind it. Scallops were cooked well. I had the mussels from Brussels, a bit clumsy to eat as the mussels were in their shells and the thin Brussel leaves were scattered within/around, all on a bed of pureed potatoes. But a nice flavor and a good portion size. Then i moved on to the beet salad, which was my least favorite. A dish I enjoy at a lot of restaurants, all with different plating/approaches, this one was clunky, the beets were cut thicker than usual, plated with large proportion dwarfing the citrus and the cheese was presented in medium size encrusted balls. It lacked elegance or delicateness, the flavors didn't really meld as they should. Hubs and I then moved to the main course. I had the crispy gnocci app as my main, which was fine, nothing special and hubs had the catch #2 a tile fish that was just ok. We finished our drinks, opted for dessert elsewhere. They've been around a long time, so I'm sure we will try again in another couple years.

I enjoyed one of their NA mocktails which was delightful (low hanging fruit was the name) and hubs enjoyed a vodka based cocktail called waste management, served in a mini trash can! We were worried it would be too sweet and Summer convinced us otherwise. Hubs said it was balanced, not too sweet, and refreshing... anything but garbage! The place is really cute inside too, and the bar had hooks underneath, so you know it's legit!

AMAZING! After a long day at the pier we wanted something healthy and filling. We were looking for Jamaican and came across The Tiny Turtle... what a brilliant find. We split the Islander Wrap and Tripleta and were in heaven!!! Whether you're a tourist or a local this is a MUST try. The food was excellent and what made it even better was the stuff, especially the lady at the register. I didn't catch her name but she was the nicest woman. My family and I have been coming here since they first opened. We absolutely love their food, service, staff and atmosphere. The Owners are one of the nicest and most generous people I know in Cocoa Beach. Their pork and mahi sofrito bowls are to die for. So delish! Taco Tuesdays are still our fave time to come! Staff wear masks and plenty of outdoor seating. we also love that they are environmentally/ocean friendly and that is so important to our family and out community! Our food here was excellent, as was the service. Truly a welcome change for an eatery so close to the beach. We were a bit skeptical but the bowls of food (sofrito) that came out soon changed our minds. Highly recommended. Very moderately priced. Recommended. Heard a lot about the sofrito so I decided to order it. I could not believe how large of a portion it was and the taste was so unique and incredible. In total my meal was $13.15 for a large sofrito bowl and a drink with unlimited refills. Going to the Tiny Turtle made a positive memory on my vacation trip. read more
