I found this establishment by searching for a breakfast place on a Saturday. The day I found it, the wait was really long. I was able to get on the waitlist via Yelp which was great. I wasn't at the location. I ended up being #44. Because of the wait, we decided to go somewhere else. Now two days later, on a Monday, I happened to be driving in the area. I looked it up on Yelp and got on the waiting list. I was #14. When I arrived, I didn't see it. I drove around to the back and there is was. Amazed that on a school day Monday, there were ppl outside waiting. I parked and went inside to see if I could get a bar seat. The bar seating included in the wait however by wait was cut in half due to being by myself. Once you walk in, there's a check in counter to the left, the seating area is to the right. Before being seated, I went to use the bathroom and it was gross. One stall was disgusting after someone decided not to flush leaving only one stall. I'm assuming because that toilet wasn't flushed, it caused the bathroom to smell awful. While using the bathroom I heard two people come in. One being an employee that had JM Diner shirt on it. She waited for the stall I was using. It was concerning that as an employee she didn't attempt to rectify the non-flushed toilet. I went back to the waiting area and shortly later, I sat at the bar. Each person, including the other customers I was siting next to was very pleasant. I'm in love with pancakes. I inquired about them and one guy described them being huge and he asked another employee to describe them and he gave the description of a little smaller than a manhole cover. We laughed and I then ordered - only one though. I also ordered a steak and cheese omelette with a side of tomatoes and orange juice. My goshhhhhhhhhh....their pancakes!!!! No wonder this place's wait is ridiculous. The pancakes were amazing. They were a tad bit sweet but the texture, size, fluffiness was delicious. The orange juice is freshly squeezed A lot if places don't do freshly squeezed. I will definitely come back here with the family! read more

The food was delicious! We got them monte cristo and egg Benedict and it had so much flavor. This place is definitely worth the wait. Easy to get on the waitlist. We logged in from the Yelp app for the waitlist and it was an hour wait so we left and did some shopping at natick mall and came back and a table was ready for us. Parking is easy they have a lot in the back. Place does get packed tho but soo worth the wait read more

The breakfast food here is so yummy. There are tons of options, mostly sweets and salty separated, not a lot of combo breakfast meals. The ex Benedict was so yummy in the home fries are a must try. Almost every time you go you will be waiting for a table. Service is great. The one comment I would have is that they do rush you a bit and come over very consistently to see if you need anything anything which can be annoying while trying to dine in. Food never fails to impress me. Descent portions cooked to perfection. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Never a sad face, I could eat there every day and never get tired of it. I just wish I lived closer. The diner is in an odd shape, but space is used well, and it's very comfortable. Weekends are usually busy, so make sure you go to the "WAITLIST" on yelp to see how long the wait is. This place is worth the wait! I recommend going on the waitlist through yelp before arriving, they might even seat you earlier as long as you reserve your spot. The people here are really nice (and they wear really cool pyjama pants :)) & the decor would entertain you. Monte cristo tasted pretty unique, just on the sweeter side. Amazing diner. The food, service, and overall quality were outstanding. You can really tell they pay attention to the details, including using local syrup, which I loved. The service was excellent. You can ask any of the waiters for anything and it gets taken care of right away. They all work as a team, so everything came out quickly and smoothly. The portions were especially impressive. I ordered a side of avocado and it was hands down the most avocado I have ever received as a side. This is exactly what you expect when you ask for avocado, not half of a half like most places give. Same with the tomatoes. When I asked for sliced tomatoes on the side, I got what felt like an entire tomato. Generous, fresh, and completely worth it. Prices were not exorbitant at all. In fact, the quality exceeded the price. I especially loved the fluffy pancakes and the beautifully decorated hot chocolate. Another huge plus is that they do not use seed oils. They cook with avocado oil and butter, which I really appreciate. I will definitely be returning. Pro tip: join their Yelp waitlist at least an hour in advance. I have avoided stopping by this place because they don't have hash brown patties, however, I stopped in today for some Irish eggs Benedict and it was spot on delicious! More of a 3.5 Tip: if you sign up for Yelp waitlist, make sure to go inside and check in. We almost didn't go because it said the wait was 2 hours but when we got inside we were told it would just be a few mins! We got the beef and sweet potato hash (small) and the Nutella French toast. The total was $25 The Nutella French toast was good and they didn't skimp on the Nutella. As for the hash, it was actually pretty small and had a decent amount of beef. Service was pretty bad. I'm pretty sure our waitress forgot about us, but she was friendly when she finally made her way towards our table. All in all, the environment was very cozy and the employees looked happy. I'll start by saying I absolutely love the layout of this place and the decorum. There are pictures of families everywhere and of course, food. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. First off we love the food at J&M. But that you are now cooking with Avocado oil we will not be able to visit again. One thing you should know is that many people who have the very common latex allergy are also allergic to avocado (and bananas). My husband has a severe avocado allergy and the only thing he could have eaten were plain poached eggs or a waffle. Maybe you could have an allergy flat top rather than keeping avocado oil on all of them? I'm sure he's not the only person affected by this change.
