Well we finally made to the Toasted Yolk for breakfast man was it worth the wait. It started with the amazing waitress Alisha. Alisha came to the table fast with a big smile and she cared when I asked for special requests she took serious and repeated back to make sure she got it right. Wait wasn't long for a Sunday afternoon. Waitress was great. Food, not great. Chicken tenders for my kid were rock hard & over fried & old. Cold. My southwest breakfast bowl was soggy, gross, eggs were cooked so hard (scrambled) that they were brown. I added a pancake to my meal so we could all share it. One pancake. Thin pancake. No berries, nothing. $5!! That's insane! Ranch for my kids chicken tenders was at an extra cost. My husband's iced coffee was $5 and only about 3oz of liquid in a big glass full of ice. First time visit to this newish place in Victoria. Pretty cool little set up with TV all around showing different kinds of sports. We went around 10:00 AM on a Friday and were quickly seated in a 2-person booth near the bar. They have Decaf which is my drink of choice nowadays. AND they have alcoholic beverages in case you want an early start to the drinking. Drink responsibly of course. I would give a 5-star review except I did not try an alcoholic beverage so upon my return to this establishment, I will have a Mimosa or Bloody Mary. I had the two egg breakfast with ham, over hard eggs and sourdough toast. Pretty good. My husband had the shrimp & grits that looked really good but it has dairy and I cannot partake. I sent in an order through door dash. Went in, and they handed me the order straight from the kitchen. I ordered The Classic Arnold, with poached egg ( the way it is supposed to come), I also asked for a side of avocado. Went straight home, took the order out of the bag. Sat down to eat. The egg was so overcooked that it was literally hard boiled! They put quacamole on the muffin, which I did not ask for. This made the muffin nasty and soggy. Needless to say it was ruined. I've been here before, in store and ordered from home. If I ask for avocado, I get a few slices on the side. Work on consistency, and please if your going to make your business about the egg, teach your chefs the difference between poached and hard boiled. read more

A simple colorful garnish would have added so much to the dish. The flavor was just as bland. Untoasted English muffin. Watery poached egg. Cheap Canadian bacon, not a good quality. The Hollandaise had a very strange texture, foamy not creamy. The hash brown casserole was gummy and gooey and seemed to have no other ingredients beyond frozen potatoes. And none of it had any kind of seasoning or flavor. The real kicker was the $4 unsweet iced tea. That's really over the top for a glass of iced tea at any restaurant. And I was never even offered a single refill! I expected much more based on the reviews and the price level. Service was adequate but not very polished. I was very disappointed. This was my favorite restaurant and have been going to for years, when it came to Victoria I was happy to finally get one in town. I found a tip of a fingernail, like someone bit it and spit it in my hashbrowns this weekend. I've never experienced such thing. My meal was comped and the food has always been delicious. We had breakfast just after 9 a.m. on a Saturday and were happy that we had no wait and that the dining room was large enough to hold several more groups, even though the parking lot was pretty full. Our server was great--checked on us several times during our meal to be sure our food was good and to ask if we needed anything. The menu was diverse and included so many choices. My husband had fried eggs and bacon, both of which were cooked just as ordered. I had a delicious breakfast sandwich on good whole grain bread. Our only complaints were a biscuit that was somewhat hard after sitting out for a while after it was cooked and coffee that is sold by the bag there but that I didn't care for. I don't expect coffee made by anyone but me to be to my personal liking! There isn't much in the way of decorations on the walls, but one large mural and another over the bar reflect the area of the location, which is one of my favorite things to see in a franchise.
