INCREDIBLE pizza, people and service. The Chicago is to die for and the breadsticks are the perfect pairing with a drink from the bar.

Normally, I don't consider people from St. Louis to be credible deli evaluators, but I was desperate and made the hour drive to Grapevine. We got there at 11:15 and the line was nearly to the door. Within 30 minutes, it was well out into the street. That was a promising sign. The sandwich menu covered the entire wall over the counter. Lots of non-New-York sandwiches like Cubans, gyros, etc, but over in the left corner were the classic Ruebens and pastramis. I went for the latter. A REAL NY deli usually has a few soups like split pea and chicken noodle and matzoh. No soups. Bummer. They had a half dozen sides - 3 kinds of potato salads and a few slaws. I went with the German potato salad. The drink option was spartan - they tossed a styrofoam cup at me and pointed to the soda fountain. The pastrami sandwich was OK for Texas. A SUPER pastrami sandwich on hard rye can get me moaning like Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally" -- only I don't have to fake it. The German potato salad was watery and bland - I should have gone with the mustard potato salad. Turnaround was on the slow side. Napkins = paper towel roll on table. Flimsy plasticware. The overall vibe was affordable utilitarian. I'll give the sandwich a 4, everything else a 3. Next time I'll drive the extra half hour to Cindi's.

No More Brunch - at least on Sundays - Website not updated yet…read more Must be a new thing because in the short time we were there, a couple other tables came in then left once they found out the Brunch Menu was not available. We were starving so stayed and had catfish plate and smoked turkey sandwich. This is the first time we were not super satisfied with our meals. Maybe it was because we were looking forward to brisket tacos & chicken & waffles. We had great service from Nathan! We grabbed some meat to bring home. Love making griddle burgers with the flurry grind.

We were very warmly greeted by a gentleman who I think must be an owner or major stakeholder. He gave us a quick history of the place and was fast to recommend the prime rib po boy sandwich. We ordered one to split, and it came with seasoned fries. The sandwich came out quickly, and the meat was tender with just the right amount of slightly spicy horseradish sauce. Yum. I definitely want to come back for the signature prime rib on a Friday or Saturday. That meatloaf sounds tempting too, and the brisket mac and cheese caught my eye. Looks like I will need to come back a few times.
