They told me that they ordered the parts (see another reviewer below who was told the same thing). Turns out, they never ordered the parts. After a visit down there, 4 emails, 3 phones calls (never returned), I finally get an email saying that 'maybe' they could do the work in May. (after I was told I was 'booked' in January). The truth usually works. If you didn't want to do the job or couldn't, say so. Instead, you wasted my time, a 30 mile trip to come see you guys (by the way, crap all over the shop) and lied to me. If there is that much work in Motorcycles, I'm going to open a shop. Compared to these guys, I'd make a mint!

Called JT again FRI for details, made clear what I required re info-JT apologized that he didn't call back as promised, said he'd email same details but didn't send requested NON-stock info-just basic info. Sheesh! Disgusted, I called manager Rich, asked not to speak to JT, he referred me to his Indian "expert" Scott who said he would check on the details. Scott called me back, gave non-stock details, so far, so good. I told him I'd come up on Saturday. He then switched the story and said that the bike had been sold yesterday. What a bunch of horse manure. So very disappointed. Was going to head to Chandler from Tucson-glad I didn't.

Kelly's is a wondrous place, full of that new motorcycle smell that enters the blood stream as soon as you walk in and take a breath, bathing you in happiness. Their sales staff are low key which is nice as nobody likes to be dogged around a showroom floor. They have an amazing selection of motorcycles too, everything from Kawa's to Triumphs and Ducatis. Royal Enfield's are in abundance as well. I've never used their service department so I can't speak to that, but they have a pretty solid parts department. I'm a big fan of Japanese bikes. So having a place that doesn't start with Ride Now or Harley is my own private paradise.

I sent him my CC and put the deposit down That is the day we got that crazy rain storm. I live down the street and our side of town was having internet/power issues so we couldn't finalize the order. Charlie kept me up to date throughout the whole day up until they were closing. I wasn't in a hurry so we just pushed it to the next day (plus I didn't wanna ride home in the rain). Got there the next day and Charlie had the bike all prepped and ready to roll. Introduced me to the mechanic and it was just an amazing experience. Showed me a couple new things with the bike since I mentioned my last bike was an 08. If you are buying a Kawasaki this is the only choice. No rush, no pushing, no hassle and just great service. But I truly have to stop. I always find my way back to Independant. Bob, Mike, (and to be honest) every person that's ever worked here have always been like brothers and sisters. They truly take care of their customers like they have known them for years. I like to do a lot of my own stuff but when there's something I'm not comfortable with because maybe I've never tried it, I know I can depend on these folks to give me the absolute BEST price, and the absolute BEST work with no bullshit! If you ride, and you're in the east valley, this is the place to come. If you ride and you're in the west valley, it's worth the ride or drive (if you have to trailer your bike) and this is still the place to come.

Interesting to see upon reading reviews from YEARS ago that multiple other people experienced the SAME exact scenario we did. Dropped our bike off before Thanksgiving to get work done. Paid the $2000 up front for parts after waiting almost 2 months just to get a quote. The holidays went by and we still didn't hear anything...reached out and "oh we would have ordered the parts but they're busy at bike week!" Lame excuse but alright... wait another few weeks... any progress now? No--you call, they have no answers other than oops we still haven't done it sorry! You ask for the owner and he's too busy to talk on the phone and too busy to talk in person. They told us the parts our bike needed were going to need sourced from out of state. In the 5 months they had our bike they didn't order a single part for it. No more than 10 minutes after we picked up the bike we were able to locate and order pistons from kansas for $400, whereas the ones they were "ordering" were $850 from Rhode Island. When we came to pick our bike up they gave us a sob story about how they can't give us any of our money back because they're "about to close our doors" due to lack of $, we had to use it as "store credit"--so maybe don't entrust them with your business since they plan to close up shop anyhow. Dropped our bike off running in 1 piece, picked it up In 6 boxes. At least we will be saving tons of money on labor now. Biggest waste of time & headache
