Updating this review after my five long years. I love The Townhouse. This little gem is nestled right in old downtown Oviedo, really just a walk away from my place. It's nice having it right there for whenever I want, or when I have company I want to impress with the neighborhood diner. Ambiance is good ol, down home, quaint. Cute little country sayings and signs everywhere. Staff that feel like they've been in Oviedo their whole lives. In a good way. It's very cozy. The service itself it very nice. It's the kind of place that'll refill your coffee cup before you're even halfway done with your current coffee cup. You don't find service like that at cheapskate places that hire the closest high schooler. So tip accordingly. And the food. It's definitely above average for a diner. I can't find either thing we ate on the regular menu. Maybe I'm missing them, but I do remember being surrounded by specials signs written in chalk, so I think they came from there maybe. I had a giant pork chop sandwich with a side of onion tanglers. Sandwich was good. Overflowing with a very well fried pork chop, and sitting atop a very nice bun that didn't look like store bought buns you find at other diners. The onion tanglers were a crazy amount of fun. There is so much crispy breading to enjoy, but it wasn't oily, which was a plus. I also got to try some sort of platter that looks like it was for a child. Not a bad thing. It had a grilled cheese, French fries, some chicken tenders, and some mac & cheese. This was fine. I think it was legit made for kids, there was no seasoning anywhere, and the grilled cheese was made with that aforementioned boring bread. So just know that going in. We finished off with a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie. I had never had a pie like this before. I wanted to try it, and it was good! Nice, tender chunks of rhubarb. Just the perfect amount of sweetness. I got it cold, which was nice, but I'll get it warm and a la mode next time. Overall, yes, this place is great. Come here and support these nice people.

This was our second time at The Townhouse Restaurant, and even though it was a pretty busy Saturday morning, we didn't have to wait long to get seated. Our server, Wendy, was wonderful -- she managed a lot of tables but still provided excellent, attentive service. I ordered a stack of pancakes with added blueberries, and they were absolutely delicious! I also asked for my bacon to be crispy, and it was cooked perfectly, just the way I like it. My husband ordered a breakfast plate and was really happy with his meal too. Definitely an incredible local spot with indoor and outdoor seating; we will definitely keep coming back to!

We started with the tzatziki and pita bread. The pita was warm and soft. I'd have liked a lil more lemon to the tzatziki but it was still really good. I got the Oviedo platter. The eggs were cooked to over medium perfection. The bacon wasn't overly greasy. Potatoes had a lil crunch on the outside, soft and yummy inside. The gravy was wonderfully peppered though the biscuit was definitely on the dry side. My partner got the lasagna soup which she said was really good. Oddly though it has bell pepper in it, dunno who puts bell pepper in lasagna. My partner and bells don't get along so she had a few minor issues for a few hours after. Main course she had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and peas, this also comes with a biscuit. She said the breading on the chicken was good but it didn't stay on, it came right off. Potatoes were good and the brown gravy was definitely her favorite of the 2 gravies. Peas were super bland and again biscuit was dry. Our server Shane was outstanding!!! He kept the sweet tea glasses full, gave us the perfect containers for leftovers and kept tabs on us. Would definitely ask to sit in his section again. Everyone on staff was super nice. This was our first time but definitely not our last time Bring your appetite or know in advance you're gonna end up with leftovers. Every plate we saw go by was massive. It was pretty loud in here but I just needed to lean a little to hear my partner better. Absolutely love the decor, it's definitely a vibe.

Horrible service. And I don't like labeling the entire establishment as such, but this was the worst service accommodation hostess I'd been ignored by, EVER. That's saying allot being that I'm from South GA. Never got to taste the food, and the atmosphere was ruined by her blatant biased behavior, followed by bold face lies as we watched her offer other table options to walk in customers.

This was the Irish Benedict, which definitely does its job in filling you up

My wife and I went to have breakfast at this very nice historic place. That was nothing short of overwhelming food. We had the great pleasure of being served by Taylor who has been there for a long time and she knows how to recommend great food here my wife ordered the Irish Benedict, which is defying the filling and I had a "" short stack"", pancake platter these two pancakes take the whole size of the plate they come in, I ordered them with three scrambled eggs and four sausage patties, which I only ate half of my whole breakfast. The other half I brought it home and put it in the freezer that will be my breakfast on Sunday. You will not be disappointed coming here and I'll show you what my wife and I ordered in the pictures

Sunday scaries were in full force and the women wouldn't stop with the "I'm hungryyy." We needed some gooooood eaten. Decided on the Townhouse and glad we did! Autumn was rock solid from the start and we will be back because of her service and the good food! The omelets were the way to go. Hash brown casserole had my toes curling, omelet you go to try! In my Arnold voice, "I'll be back."

My husband and I have been dinning at this wonderful, wonderful restaurant before they even built the new restaurant. The staff are amazing people; they treat everyone with kindness and respect and make you feel very welcome. The food is consistently delicious with good portions. The ambiance of this restaurant is welcoming and cozy. They have beautiful outdoor seating. Their music is very pleasant. They run fabulous specials and have very reasonable prices. They serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner and you can get breakfast anytime. If you have never been to this little gem of a restaurant, you must do so; it will become one of your favorites!

I read on Yelp about The Townhouse Restaurant as a great option for breakfast. Unfortunately for me, it's located in Oviedo and I live in Winter Garden, so it's not convenient. We were going to Oviedo to Lukas Nursery, though, so I suggested that we have breakfast at Townhouse. After we parked, I noticed the cool painted sidewalks -- one was a rainbow and the other a piano keyboard. Inside the front door was a merch display. It was crowded, so we had a bit of a wait time. About halfway through our wait time, I heard someone say something about the bar. I peeked in the restaurant and saw that there was seat-yourself counter service. So we ended up sitting there and cut our wait time. Their menu has a lot of diner fare, but with a more eclectic flair. So there were several things on the menu I wanted to try, but I finally landed on the Greek Village Omelet. It was like a traditional Greek omelet but with gyro meat added. The only thing missing was spinach. I would have loved that addition to it, and maybe I'll ask next time. They also suggested tzatziki sauce for the potatoes, so I ordered that, too. Yum! It was all delicious and the service was great. We'll definitely return during future visits to Lukas Nursery or other attractions in Oviedo.

I happened to look up this place since we were looking for brunch/breakfast places. This place reminded me of the diners back in the North in New Jersey. My fried steak was pretty good. This place is a little older but it seems to be a local favorite...service was good and we will be back.

Wow, I never had pancakes like this they were COLOSSAL made with fresh blueberries! Plenty of seating this place is huge and I was told by the employees the weekends are packed. I went on a slow midday brunch and enjoyed the scenery and atmosphere. Everything was cooked fresh to order and of course I could not finish it all. I came here never knowing of this place, but Offline had it on their list and I had to check it out. I am glad I did. They also have a lunch and dinner menu, but I think breakfast is their niche.

In Orlando, there's a good amount of chains for breakfast and not many local spots that aren't. I always look for local places and holy shit this one is so good. It's been around for 70 years and I came here for the first time last week. I had the bacon cheeseburger omelet with crispy ass home fries. My wife had the potato pancakes. Both of these were so good and definitely coming back for more. They have happy hour 3-6 half off everything. Waiter Tommy was great, not sure if anyone is related here but def a family place. Chickens all over. Funny stuff. A lot of locals and the food is great.

I have been to the Townhouse Restaurant multiple times over the years (decades). In fact, I first tried the Townhouse Restaurant when it was in its old building, which was basically across the street from the new location. The menu at the Townhouse Restaurant is pretty straightforward. It does not take many chances, but there is something to say about these tried and tried dishes that have endeared themselves to the American people and have firmly established themselves in the American people's hearts. The ambiance here is pleasant enough and reminds me of countless country restaurants that I have frequented across the country. The service here is pleasant and friendly. Our server definitely added to our overall experience. I was here for breakfast and I enjoyed my meal. I have been here countless times, mainly for breakfast, and I have always been impressed with my meal and experience here at the Townhouse Restaurant. The Townhouse Restaurant is a great option for a quick meal in a pleasant setting if you find yourself in Oviedo, Florida. It has been a long-established restaurant here in Oviedo and after a visit here, it will be easy to see why the Townhouse Restaurant is such a popular restaurant. Overall, I will give the Townhouse Restaurant five stars for my experience and the Townhouse Restaurant has definitely earned my recommendation.

Kacie, was amazing, service was great! First time going to TOWNHOUSE. Western burger was fantastic, Pancake platter with eggs was also cooked perfectly... Atmosphere is kind of like retro diner. All in all we're gonna go back!

They have a few nice craft beers on tap and the most amazing hummus platter ever. So many places give you a tiny dollop of hummus, a few crackers and if you're lucky a few cut up carrots. Not here, you get a giant amount of hummus - you get house made lavash - and you get beautiful baby medium sized carrots and all of that is only $8 on happy hour. The hummus is very flavorful with a tiny kick and the lavash is super crunchy with an amazing seasoning on it that reminds me of "everything bagel seasoning". You'll see two different pictures - these were taken a year or more apart but you can see things have barely changed. You always get the amazing crackers and carrots and a huge amount of hummus. They also have a few great wines by the glass on happy hour, some yummy sliders, and now a pepperoni pizza that looks awesome but I haven't tried yet.

Other than that, the food was great. I sampled a few items of the apps that people ordered. From what I can remember, the truffle fries really stood out. For my entree, I got the chopped elk medium cooked. It was fantastic. Very delicious and almost tasted like a really beefy meatloaf. Not gamey at all. The sauce drizzled on it was so savory. I wished there were more mashed potatoes underneath because those were amazing too. It was also a very big portion. Definitely recommend. Would come back again and try something else or even order that again.

Sure, the people are nice enough, but I am quite literally ALWAYS waiting 15 minutes for a single coffee. Often times its more, like 20-25 minutes. Like literally every time I patiently wait and it hits me - "hey, I've been waiting a while, wheres my drink?" The food comes out quicker than the coffee usually! I ordered food from a place across the street, walked over to Craft, order a coffee, it took 18 minutes, and then by the time I picked up the food and got back - my food was cold. Crazy work. All the other shops do it fine; Deeply, Stemma, Lineage. Framework etc - their average wait time is like 5-8 minutes once you order. Craft has some serious issue with the efficiency of their barista line. And I am aware craft coffee isn't immediate unless you're getting drip - I'm only ordering an Americano, its one of the easiest beverages to make. I will sometimes even people who ordered after me get something fancy and then get their drink before mine! And to that note, its not the best coffee. Its surely good, its quality; but they're not making the best stuff in town. If there's some extra steps or something going on, its not worth making me wait at minimum 15 minutes for a drink when there's literally no line, 5 people sitting down in the shop and 6 employees. It makes me not want to go to this shop ever, its just so unfortunately convenient to where I work that its THE place to go. So thats why I'm writing this - were in the same space and I want to see them improve their wait times. They've been consistently bad for far too long! EDIT: I forgot I wrote a review in 2023 being more forgiving but still complaining about wait times. Well, clearly that has not been fixed!
