I called this company last minute and was so happy they could come out same day to my daughter's birthday party.The person I spoke with on the phone was very nice and accommodating. They arrived earlier than expected but the older gentleman that was there to collect the money was rude and didn't seem to want to be bothered. The older man driving the train was nice so i ignored the rude man. The train ride started off ok. The radio didn't work but we didn't even mind, the kids just sang and were happy to be on the train. The problem came when the front half of the train broke off the back half of the train. We all jumped off and thankfully no one was injured. No one offered an apology or even to refund a portion if my money. They literally left the back half in the street and wanted to continue the rides with only the front half smh. Again no apology or anything. I would not recommend this company. read more

Imagine this... Throwing a train themed birthday party for your train loving 4 year old with the GRAND FINALE being a ride for him and 30 friends on the TRACKLESS TRAIN! As the kids excitement builds its finally time for the train to arrive... We wait and wait and wait... I place a call to the Trackless Train headquarters and I'm told they're running behind, they'll contact the driver and call me back with an ETA. 10 minutes roll by and children are getting antsy waiting for their train ride and no one is calling me back. I call back to find out the train is over 20 miles away at a parade stuck in a parking lot and is just being loaded up and will not make it to my event. Total panic and damage control ensues. I am forced to tell a 4 year old birthday boy running around yelling CHOO CHOO in his steam locomotive shirt his birthday train isn't coming. Nightmare... I'm sure this company has had successful transactions in the past but can you really trust a party rental company for your function that has the capability of devastating a child on their birthday? Why risk it? So a couple of points. 1. Why book a same day event if there is even the slightest chance you won't make it to the second? 2. Why isn't there a call placed to notify the customer of any issues? I understand unforeseen issues happen but if you're contracted to be somewhere at 12:30 and at 12:30 you're over 20 miles away packing up your equipment why would you not contact your client well in advance? 3. Thanks for the discount offer for a future order but that train should be at my house free of charge to give my kid one ride around the neighborhood to make up for the amount of anger and frustration we experienced on his special day. read more

I called and had worked out all of the numbers to a T. Spoke to Cliffton. Was going to place an order of 4 machines, a Combo Jumper, tables and chairs. HUGE ORDER!!!!!!! I call back to lock in the order, all of a sudden, everything changed and is more expensive by $100!!!!!! I dont trust businesses that do that. Bait and switch. No Sir! Said he always sends invoices, but just so happened not to with me. But remembers talking to me, my order, but not the price he quoted me. Interesting! I scheduled and paid the deposit for tje trackless train for a birthday party. The guy Clifton didn't show up at the scheduled time. My son and I kept calling him phone rung one time before going to voicemail. I texted him. My son even went to the location. The scheduled time was 5:30. Clifton finally called back at 6:30. He asked are you on scheduled for today? Did you pay a deposit? Really??? Then he said I'm so sorry my phone was dead. We could have came straight to you after the party we just did. He did offer me a refund or he could be at my home in 20 minutes and would give me a $50 discount. I agreed to him still coming since the kids that were still at the party really wanted to ride on the train. Guess what? No show again 20 minutes went to over an hour with no answering his phone again. I texted him a screenshot of my deposit and requested a refund. The only positive thing I can say about him is he did send me my deposit. If I could give a zero star I would. read more

The train itself was great, the kids enjoyed it. The conductor on the other hand was terrible. He started the party on time but asking for a balance that was paid prior to the event. After he was telling my guest we had a balance for him, and that he wanted a tip! Why would u ask the guest and multiple individuals for a tip! You were paid to do a service and its up to the party host to tip or not. I would never recommend them based on service read more

I needed a train last minute and they saved me. But they didn't arrive at the agreed time. They asked for $100 deposit on one line but I was charged $100 twice. I didn't notice until after I paid the remaining balance. So I ended up paying $350 instead of $250, honest mistake I thought. I called them a few times, they never answered the phone or returned my calls. read more

I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am in this company . First of all , I am a director of a private pre-school . Every year I schedule a fun-filled day of snow play combined with a train ride to hot chocolate. It is one of our favorite days of the year. Imagine having over a 120 children waiting for their train ride and having to disappoint all of them . Not only was this company 45 minutes late..... the train wouldn't start . I'm pretty sure that it should be standard procedure to make sure the train is in proper working order before an event . Luckily we had the snow and the hot chocolate ready, or it would have been complete pandemonium. Please, think twice before using this company . read more

I used this company for our annual block party and they didn't disappoint! I ordered the dunk tank and based on my order, neighbors inquired and ended up reserving several party items as well. Clifton's team was on time for event day, the dunk tank was in great working condition and the entire block party loved it! Unfortunately, the water hose I had was not long enough, which made me nervous because the event started in less than an hour. Clifton stepped in, went back to his business location and returned with a hose long enough to fill the tank. He was thorough and efficient! Would I recommend the Trackless Train to anyone else? Had the Trackless Train at our sons 3rd birthday. Not only was the train on time, it came out to us in LA marathon day. I cannot lavish enough praise on this experience. Not only is the train bigger and better than expected, the conductor navigated our neighborhood loop expertly, drove cautiously yet at a fun pace all the while playing DJ so well that he had the 10 year old cool boys bopping along to contemporary remixed kids tunes. Wonderful experience. Will absolutely look for the opportunity to use them again and highly recommend them. My son was thrilled as we're all the children and it was hassle free. read more
