Went for breakfast this morning with my husband about 10am the place was 3/4 full. We were seated immediately. Our server asked for our drinks, coffee for hubby, water for me. She brought his coffee in a Styrofoam cup and said she would return with a mug when available. Never did. We ordered and waited 45 min for our food. Know reason no apology. Other patrons were seated, served and leaving before us and another table of 4 received our food. Needless to say, not happy. Also, only 1 sausage patty was served with 2 eggs, saus., and potato. read more

I recently held a surprise party in the private banquet room. Thomas Bird and his staff were exceptional including the upfront planning all the way through the A\V set up. They catered our food and had ample staff serving our guests throughout the whole event. Could not have been more pleased! read more

First and last visit. Ordered a medium well patty melt. Charcoal burn on the outside..med rare on the inside. Wings tasted like they were on the turn for the worst. Pot Roast sandwich asked for onions..came without. (waitress corrected) Floor in dining needed attention. Obnoxious couple in dining room screaming and cursing. Never saw a manager on sight. Normally we have good service, but I tried having lunch there today and no one came to our table. It wasn't crowded and the waitress only had 3 tables right by us. Waited for at least 20 minutes and no one even asked us what we wanted to drink! We had to walk out and eat somewhere else. They definitely lost a regular customer! :( read more

Went for dinner this past Friday night. Had a burger and it was excellent. The server was great. Here's the thing: we just after we were seated a live 2-man band started playing. The music was SO loud we couldn't talk at our table and the waitress couldn't even hear us.The musicians were awesome guys, very talented, just way too LOUD for this venue. I have been to the Twisted Birch six or seven times now. The food is outstanding, there is a beautiful view of Turtle Creek Golf Course and the staff are incredible! I think it's great that they get to know you by name. The owners, Thomas and Jenn, and the rest of the staff really make you feel at home. So let me start out with the fact that there is only 2 times I ever think of posting reviews for places. When the food, service, atmosphere, and location are overall amazing... or when the location steps a line. I'm not the type of person to go around slinging bad reviews like candy just because something was inconvienent, so it's pretty hard to earn a bad review ontop of the harsh criteria for a review in the first place. The Twisted Birch falls under the line of crossing a line, far over that line, and up until now they only toed my patience. I come on most weekends, not for the location itself but to meet with friends and hang out. The food is hit or miss and the prices are atrocious for many menu items, they offer steak when they're not a steakhouse by any means, and the service is so slow you could go to a different restaurant in a different part of brevard country and come back with takeout before your food here arrives. Ontop of the horrible service, which I tolerated even though it tested my patience many times, the Twisted Birch does not know how to handle any issues that could even be somewhat attested to their actions. If you did something then you can expect the correct response, the default response, a brief and curtly toned talking down to about what you didn't understand about their "well written menu". If it's their fault at all... well you can expect the same response from a server with an annoyed tone and no time for your issues. The events leading up to this review have to do with their menu and the response of the server, who apparently didn't have time for me after having hiddenly upcharged my mother $3 twice in 2 visits. The entrees here are "all (entrees are) served with house side salad and dinner roll." There is also the option to "add any second side for .99 cents". Now, that house side salad is the first side right? It's part of all entrees? Well apparently the shrimp pasta, while sitting neatly under the entrees section, actually must not be an entree... because if you order it with blue cheese dressing on your salad with your second side being from the sides list... you're looking at a nice $3 on an already overpriced dish. What happened to 99 cents? I didn't order anything but the entree and a second side? I certainly didn't get 2 full scale sides! They give you 4 onion rings and a small plate of salad. According to the waitress "the pasta doesn't come with a salad, so your not able to get the second side option, which means you're charged for getting 2 sides on their own." I don't know if this seems odd to anyone or just me because I don't remember the word "all" meaning most in cases. With nobody here having time for the issue at hand I am turning to the review page to give warning to the public who may think about coming here. If you value your time and don't want someone to be scammed out of their hard earned money, don't come. If you do come then I will offer you this advice, make sure you ask your waitress about what everything costs because to them you don't know the English language well enough to interpret a menu correctly. Or that may be the writers mistake and the location being unwilling to take credit, either way don't trust your English skills here or your wallet will regret it. read more

We have been going to The Twisted Birch for a few months primariy on Sunday morning and Wednesday. The wings are terrific and they have a variety of sauces with the Sweet and Spicy my favorite. Wings are a decent size and not over cooked. On Sundays we go for breakfast and when I get waffles I request the syrup be heated but recently the server indicated that could not happen ince the "kitchen" said the were to busy and did not want to tie up the microwave. My husband no longer gets sausage patties but ham instead because the opateties seems to be cooked in advance then heated which were then over cooked, hard and cold when they arrived. I love eggs benedict and request the whites be cooked and that does not always happen. When my husband gets cakes they arrive with no butter and the patties are cold. I have no complaints of the servers who are very friendly and prompt to help. The ladies bathroom is horrible. One toilet has a leak with a pan catching the water but it splashes on the tile floor so your slacks get wet if you you do not hold the pant legs up. The other toilet has a sign instructing you how to flush it but it does not seem to work for me. There are tiles missing from the floor and the walls of one stall is damaged. I have spoken with the manager who says there is a lawsuit and it cannot be fixed untill that has been settled. One of the servers stold us that the lawsuit had been settled so who knows. You may also eat on the patio which is screened but the door is ajar and slamming and the floor as you walk out of the patio to the outside has broken boards so they put a large plank over it for you to walk on. It is an accident about to happen. This place is usualy very busy so I wonder why the reairs are oto made to the patio or the bathroom. Since the screen door is not shut the squirrels run in and out, jumping on the table eating jelly and creamer while on the table....oftne tiime running off with them. A bit unsanitary in my opinion. That could be corrected if the screen door was shut. We have decided to find a new breakfast place due to the problems we have encountered and the high noise level. I also want to mention the bussers are in need of training. They make repeated to the same table removing a few items at a time and wipe the table debris onto the floor. Ii have seen then to use that same cloth to wiope of a chair seat and then wipe of another table. Children, teens and some adults have their feet in the chairs not to mention those people who wear very low fiteting trousers. There is also a carpet issue between the two dining rooms with a strip about 5" wide to several feet long which looks as if there was a wall removed at one time read more

My husband and I went for lunch today. My husband had the crock of French onion soup and a house salad, I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and fries. When our order finally came my sandwich and fries were barely warm. I informed the waitress and she promptly took my order and returned it to the kitchen. When the second order finally came out my husband had already finished his lunch. The second order was hot , however i have never seen a piece of chicken that was so thin imagine stacking up three quarters, that is how thin it was. You couldn't even taste the chicken. I again informed the waitress who told us that they having really been cutting corners in the kitchen. I just say the waitress was very nice about the whole thing and took my order off the check. To think I could have had two spicy chicken sandwiches at burger king for six bucks. Needless to say we won't be retuning. Oh, and on another note the ladies room was nasty! read more

Certainly not like JDs. Went there expecting similar food. Ordered a burger and the sliced chips and gravy. The burger was burnt to a crisp and I got Ruffles and sausage breakfast gravy. I asked the server why they changed from JDs version of sliced chips and brown gravy, but she just laughed and said that is how they come. read more

Three stars for the good parts of breakfast, which were very good. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and seated quickly, however, the chair I pulled out was covered in crumbs. I sat at another chair and as the meal progressed I noticed the bus staff clearing tables and wiping them off, and either knocking the table debris onto the chairs or the floor (and both chairs and floor had a fair amount of visible debris on them for 8:30 am), and they never once looked at chairs or wiped them off. All the hostesses and bus staff were very young- I think they could use some extra training on what "clean" really means. Our waitress was a bit grumpy....not friendly at all...maybe she'd be better on the night shift? We both had coffee and there were "CoffeeMate" individual creamer packs on the table which has corn syrup and sweetens the coffee, which I don't want, so I asked for half and half or milk and our server seemed even more grumpy about having to provide that. Our food arrived in a reasonable time and was hot and tasty. We both got eggs, mine over medium and my husbands over easy, which were cooked perfectly. The bacon was hot and crispy, and we both asked for and got home fries extra crispy. We asked for English muffins, but didn't realize there was an up charge of .25 (not sure if it was on the menu or not) over regular toast. I wouldn't have minded the charge but we both got untoasted English muffins with butter(?) spread on them. They were like lumps of gooey, doughy bread, really unappetizing and mine went uneaten completely. Neither muffin had any part of it that was even a pale shade of brown - they must have walked them past the toaster and forgotten to drop them in. I didn't think you had to special request for an English muffin to be toasted! If I'd known before I saw the bill that I was paying extra for it, I would have complained. Although, even complaining wasn't easy...The server never came back to check if the food was ok, or bring more coffee- I had to grab her as she went by and ask for more coffee, which should NOT be the case. It was Saturday morning, but they weren't full or super busy at the time, so not really ok to leave tables just sitting without checking back on them. i know these guys are working out the bugs, and I hope they read their reviews. We really want to love them & we'll come back in a few weeks to try again. read more
