    Chicken Tikka Bowl
    Andrew S.

On a hot day at a festival looking for a relaxing reprieve, the Twisted Indian came in clutch. Before I even get to food I have to mention how nice the staff were to fill up our water and make sure my family was taken care of- A++ for service. Their menu will make you choose between a larger bowl or handhelds like the Naan 'wich- basically an Indian "gyro" but with Naan. We had to try the chicken tikka Naan 'wich and the bowl. I was happy with the quality of the curry from such a small kitchen. The chickpea side dish was delicious and there was even a refreshing salad in my bowl to tie everything together. Having said that, only slight critiques would be heavy use of dark meat (fine for me, but my wife not so much) and there needs to be garlic naan for the sandwich. Also, a small piece of complimentary Naan in the bowl would go a long way in my opinion. For a very fair price at around $12, you will be full! Now, surprisingly, my favorite food here were the twisted fries! Perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. These alone are worth going in for!

Wowza!!! What wonderful flavors. Ordered delivery. Smooth experience and fantastic meal. Tried the Bollywood Bowl chicken tikka masala. Seasoned chicken chickpeas spinach over rice and a dollop of sour cream. Perfection and it was BOGO! Run don't walk! It's that good

I came here with my vegan friend when she was in town. It smelled amazing and the staff were so friendly and didn't rush us to order. After looking at the menu, we ordered up front and waited for our food. Very cute inside, but it's good to note that the parking is a hassle, especially at busy lunch hours, but that is to be expected for DTSP. Ok so the food was good. The flavor was there and the portion was perfect (for me). I would say it is more modern/Americanized Indian food though (perhaps that's the Twisted in Twisted Indian?). I probably wouldn't come here if I wanted authentic true Indian cuisine, but I think it is a very good option for that part of town where there isn't a lot of Indian restaurants. Also I'm not vegan or vegetarian and prefer meat so again, it wouldn't be my first choice for this cuisine. All of that aside, I did have a good experience and the food was good!

As you step into the restaurant, the aroma of the Indian cuisine hits you and wow, was I excited! Sadly though, i wasn't impressed. 3 words: Americanized Indian food! Place looked great, loved the ornate decor and staff were very sweet and courteous. I tried the naanwich. While the potions were hefty, I couldn't decipher what i was eating. The spices were lost, couldn't even taste the ginger/garlic paste which is a staple in many Indian dishes. Overall, i had higher hopes. The fries were good but i wasn't thrilled with the main entree.

We've tried the truck years ago and were excited to finally try their brick and mortar. We were bummed to see they didn't have lamb Korma at all on their menu. We ended up getting their chicken Tikka naanwich and chicken Tikka Taco. Both had great flavor and accompaniments that complemented the chicken. I did get a bite of inedible meat that turned me off. Besides that, nice interior with a cool vibe.

I heard great things about Twisted Indian when they were just a local food truck--glad to see them scale up to a brick and mortar for my first visit. The interior was warm and inviting. I love the long dining table in the middle seating area, great for friends or even strangers to sit eat alongside one another. The Naanwhich is an amazing portion size for its price ($12-13) and the Bollywood Bowls looked more filling than any of the ordinary fast-casual slop bowl establishments. Staff are super helpful to new customers, you can tell some people are regulars who remote work from inside, but be sure to clean up your seating area and return the bowls/trays to the bus station. BONUS: they even sell their own sauce jars and premium Indian Beer: Rupee Basmati Rice Lager & Rupee India Pale Ale.

Staff was so friendly and helpful when assisting me with choosing what to order. I got the tacos with the Seitan Korma and Panner Tikka Masala. The panner taco was my favorite so so so yum. I'm usually not a chick pea fan but the tacos come with a delicious chickpea and rice side. I also got the mango Lassi which had a hint of ginger which I loved

After nearly 10 years away from St. Pete, I was thrilled to discover that what was once a food truck is now a charming brick-and-mortar restaurant. We were hungry and searching for something nearby when Twisted Indian popped up--and we got excited right away! This small, beautiful spot is located right on Central Ave. You order at the counter, where we were warmly greeted by a super friendly attendant, and grab your cold drinks from the fridge. They offer an impressive selection of craft beers--I went with a basmati rice lager that paired perfectly with the bold, vibrant flavors of the food. I had the chicken naanwich (absolutely delicious!), and my son ordered the chicken tikka masala, which was bursting with flavor. He's a real foodie, and he loved every bite. Twisted Indian, thank you for the amazing food and welcoming atmosphere--keep up the great work!

Chicken tikka (GF) was amazing along with the sides! All of the flavors and textures complemented each other so well! The portion size is perfect. The staff were nice, accommodating, and funny! They have vegetarian options and safe Celiac (GF) options.

Came back because I looked at my previous review when I was in town and was craving the same bowl - seems since my last review (and looking at the previous photos) portions have gotten smaller, chicken quality downgraded as well and seemed a little more rubbery this time. A shame because I thought it was excellent a year ago per my last review. It's still pretty okay, but definitely didn't blow me away like it did last time. The tikka sauce tasted super tomato-y, almost like tomato soup. We got our orders to go and the food was lukewarm. I was hyping this place up to my folks for our first dinner in town, but I'd hesitate to return unfortunately.

I really wanted to love this place, as I have heard great things, but it unfortunately fell short of my expectations. To start, they have a sign up front asking for no deconstructions and to limit modifications. I try to limit dairy, so this would be difficult for me as they only had 2 vegan options but I do eat meat. I asked for the lamb Bollywood bowl without yogurt, and they said yes which I really appreciated. Asking your customers to limit modifications just seems silly to me considering the price we are paying for items. We sat down and I was given the wrong food item. I was given a lamb platter instead of the bowl. They did end up bringing me a side of rice and chickpeas as the platter doesn't come with that, but what I ordered does. My partner ordered the chicken tiki masala fries and loved his order!! If we come back, I will have to try those. Overall, I wish there were more options maybe to modify (or more plant based/vegan options), and bigger water cups (too small considering how spicy the food is).

One of my favorite spots in all the land. Absolutely addicting and consistently exceeding my food expectations. I have twisted Indian at least once a week it's just that good. Do yourself a favor and visit this place if you're in St.Pete

It's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, and really clean. The staff was really nice and even recommended things we should try. The food was amazing! So much flavor, spice, and really good portions. This is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I've ever eaten at, in fact we loved it so much, we've been back a couple of times. When we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted away and seated our tables. Our server came over, and after looking through the menu, we ordered tea, chilli gobi, chilli chicken, and palak paneer for the toddler. We got our tea and food in some time. The tea was good, made well, and it was good evening drink. The two appetizers that we ordered were disappointing and it was more of an American taste than an authentic Indian taste. Moreover, it was an okay restaurant. People who don't like much spice in food will like the restaurant.

I swear they're adding something addictive in their food because I always plan my next trip to Roti WHILE eating my current meal. The restaurant is cute. They've done a great job renovating the place. It's quite cozy with a combination of booths and tables. They have a buffet for lunch, so I plan to make that my next visit. I was shocked how busy it was. Their to-go orders are non-stop. Even though there were few patrons dining in, the rotation of online order pick ups was unbelievable. This is why the kitchen was fully staffed and the servers were widdled down to one. Don't go in there and expect stellar service. The waiter answers phones, runs food, and takes orders. He's a real life Superman, but he has split focus. Because the kitchen is so fast, you don't have time to feel neglected. Overall, I'm still a super fan.
