Yall need to stop playing and go eat at The Drunken Wok NOW! WOW. This place was phenomenal. Even with a backed up line, they were able to crank out our food quick and it was delicious. Honestly tasted like we were eating at a restaurant. The noodles, rice and all the protein were cooked amazing and it's the perfect food to either eat during the day, before you go out drinking or had a long night of drinking. Definitely check this place out.

I found DrunkenWok by accident and I am so glad I did. I had gone to Fergs for the one dollar wings but I missed the cutoff and the kitchen was already closed. The bartender told me to check out the food truck outside, so I walked over expecting some wishy washy asian fusion that would be just okay. I was wrong, very wrong. My friend and I ordered the crab rangoon, the braised BBQ pork belly bao, the crispy garlic chicken, the shrimp pad thai, and the garlic crab fried rice. The food came out quickly and looked like classic Chinese takeout in the best possible way. The crab rangoon was perfectly light, crispy and warm. The pork belly bao was tender, juicy, and so full of flavor that my friend wouldnt stop talking about it. The pad thai dish had that perfect texture and bounce that many places struggle to get right. It had the ideal balance of egg, meat, bean sprouts, peanuts, and sauce. The crab fried rice had great flavor and came with a very generous amount of crab meat. The crispy garlic chicken is exactly that. It had an amazing crunch that lasted the entire meal without getting soggy and the garlic sauce flavors really came through and blended well with the spice. Oh yeah, there's heat in these dishes. I went back up to the chef and told him how impressed I was. I admitted that I expected something watered down, but instead I got legit Thai flavors (i'm Thai btw). He told me he is Thai too which connected all the dots. This was honestly one of the best Thai meals I have had in Tampa Bay, and it came out of a food truck. The ambience is cute and cozy with a few outdoor tables that is good perfect for the food, people watching, and chilling. Chef Steve is passionate about his food and is very friendly to all of his customers. His teammate Dillon was also very friendly. This is the spirit of St Pete and exactly what I love about local spots like these. Cannot wait to return and I will be telling everyone about DrunkenWok.

ribeye fries. you would think the fries would get soggy under all that but they came out perfectly!

Waited over 30 minutes for what should be a faster food truck, I was also not impressed with my bao bun.

I visited before a Rays game and was immediately impressed by both the service and the food. The staff was attentive without hovering, the pacing was excellent, and the entire experience felt polished and intentional. I ordered the Bibimbap with bulgogi steak, tofu, fried egg, kimchi, vegetables, gochujang, and crispy rice, along with two spring rolls. What stood out most was the balance. The dish delivered heat, sweetness, savory depth, texture, and freshness without relying on heavy sauces or excessive portions. Every ingredient maintained its own identity while contributing to the overall flavor of the dish. Too many restaurants create flavor by drowning food in sauce. Hawkers does it through seasoning, spices, and technique. There was no puddle of sauce at the bottom of the bowl, no overly sweet glaze, and no greasy heaviness. The rice absorbed flavor without becoming soggy, and the kimchi, vegetables, egg, tofu, and bulgogi worked together beautifully. The spring rolls were equally impressive. Light, crisp, delicate, and perfectly executed, with a thin wrapper and just the right amount of crunch. What impressed me most was that I left satisfied, not stuffed. The portions were thoughtful, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the flavors were layered rather than overwhelming. Since moving to Florida, this ranks as one of the best restaurant meals I have had. Highly recommended.

Service was great throughout the experience, and we were seated immediately on a Saturday night at 8:45. Overall I would recommend and return to Hawkers.

We arrived around 10:15 p.m. on a Friday night, with the restaurant closing at 11:00 p.m. Maybe that contributed to our experience, although several other parties were seated after us, so we weren't the last customers of the evening. We ordered quickly since we already knew what we wanted. My partner ordered the special, I ordered the ramen, and we shared the fried shrimp dumplings as an appetizer. Our server was friendly and attentive, though it was clear the staff was beginning to transition into closing mode. Unfortunately, that affected the atmosphere. While we were still eating, employees were spraying tables and mopping nearby. The smell of cleaning chemicals mixed with our food, which made the dining experience less enjoyable. When my ramen arrived, it looked more like a wonton soup or pho than the ramen I was expecting. I didn't question it because I assumed it might be their interpretation of the dish. However, the broth was quite bland, and the vegetables were still somewhat undercooked. The chicken had no seasoning, it tasted like it was boiled within the broth. After a few bites and sips, I decided not to finish it. My partner seemed to enjoy his meal, though he tends to be pretty easygoing when it comes to food. I didn't try his dish since it was very spicy and that's not really my thing. The restaurant is in a great location on Central Avenue, which makes it a fun area to walk around and people-watch. However, with most dishes priced around $20, I expected a better overall experience and higher quality food. Unfortunately, this isn't a place I would return to.

One thing I really appreciated was that they can customize the spice level to your liking. I prefer my food on the spicier side, while my friends like things a bit milder, so it worked out perfectly for everyone. The only downside was the restaurant's hours. We met for dinner on a Thursday night at 7 PM, which feels like a pretty normal after-work dinner time, but they close at 8 PM. For a restaurant that serves dinner and cocktails, that felt surprisingly early. To their credit, the staff never rushed us out and were very patient while we continued catching up past closing. However, the early closing time would make it difficult for me to come back regularly, especially for weeknight dinners with friends. Overall, the food was excellent and I'd definitely recommend it, just be sure to keep their hours in mind.

I couldn't stop thinking about the food afterward, so I immediately made a trip to the restaurant to try more. This time, we went to the location across from Ferg's because it was a little chilly and we wanted to sit inside and eat everything right away. We even drove from Tampa, even though there's a food truck closer, because we really wanted the full sit-down dining experience. We ordered the ahi tuna dirty rice, the bang bang shrimp (a special I saw online), and the pork belly buns. This was my first time trying the shrimp and the buns, and let me tell you... the buns did NOT disappoint. They were so fluffy, cooked perfectly, and absolutely delicious. And the bang bang shrimp? I loved it almost more than the ahi tuna. It had the most perfect crisp and crunch. You order outside and everything is made fresh. It didn't take too long at all, and the food came out warm and insanely good. I'm a huge dumpling girl, so I already know I need to go back ASAP to try the truffle gyoza and the wagyu gyoza. The lobster crab rangoons also sounded incredible. If you haven't been yet, this place is 100% worth the hype, and the repeat visits.

They now have one bowl size, and they are charging per meat (IE fish, chicken, tofu, etc) so you don't get any meat included in the price + have increased pricing on 'premium toppings' such as seaweed salad, avocado, and kimchi.
