When you go to a pizzeria for lunch and you order a side salad that blow you away you expect the meal to be great. We both ordered eggplant parmesan. The sauce was delicious and the eggplant was tasty too. I was disappointed that it wasn't a lot of eggplant. A few more pieces would be nice. My daughter and I stopped for an early dinner. No soda was available. She ordered a cheesesteak and I had a salad. My first impression was portions are very small. I was still hungry after my salad (which was good). However, the cheesesteak was inedible. Roll was not fresh, the meat even less fresh (it looked like leather), barely any cheese. Hardly any mushrooms and no flavor. My daughter's favorite thing to eat is a cheesesteak. She's eaten then from Miami to Maine and hands-down, this was the worst. It was roughly $18 for a large cheese pizza. I can't put my finger on where I've had similar tasting pizza, maybe at a ballpark or Sam's Club. Just not good. I always give this place another try, but it always disappoints. The last time the pizza was undercooked and soggy, just not good. If this place was not right outside of Sun City, there would be no way they could stay open, many places in Bluffton offering much better pizza. The service was ok( I guess) and when my guess and I walked in there, there was no one to greet us but I did saw about three waiters running to different tables. My guess and I decided to just go to the bar and sit there and we waited for about 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, even though every waiter that passed by us looked at us. Finally, a waiter came to us and gave us a menu to look over and we placed our order, but she was pretty nice. I order a Cajun Alfredo with shrimp which the portion was really small for the price. When I took my first bite, it tasted like someone took a bottle of salt and emptied it in it. I told the waiter I cannot eat it because it was too salty, and I asked for two slices of pizza in the place of it. One of the pizza I ordered was the white pizza with cheese and broccoli on it. When I took my first bite, it was really good, but then I smelled a weird smell. I picked the broccoli off the pizza and smelled it and it had a really musty/sour odor. I decided I did not want to take my food back a third time so I decided to trash it and just take my loss. read more

I recently took a vacation to harbor island and when looking for delivery options we came across the upper crust. Their unique crust was the first thing that enticed us but we enjoyed everything that we ordered. They had great specialty pizza selections and the salads were delicious. It is hard to find delivery to the island so we were very pleased with the outcome of our experience and ended up ordering another night while we were there as well. I'd like to provide a review but I wasn't given the opportunity. We arrived and were seated immediately as the restaurant wasn't full and ordered soft drinks. After ordering a salad and a pizza we waited an hour and watched patrons who arrived after us receive their orders. When we inquired we were told our order was never placed without an apology. The waiter passed us several times and never noticed an empty table. Once we decided not to have them finally place the order the waiter hovered over us after delivering a check for two sodas and waited as if he was looking for a tip. Probably will not be back. 6 coworkers including myself got to go lunches from here. I did the pizza wrap(hold the veggies) with fries. $13 well wasted. I should have taken that $13 and went to a quality pizza joint and gotten a pizza. The wrap was filled with topping which was great, but there was more grease than expected. To a point where you might as well get a calzone and save yourself a mess. The meal comes with chips and it is a $2.50 up charge for fries. Not worth the up charge. My coworker had gotten the Lasagna, which we continued to joke as a mystery meal. There were spices inside that didn't taste well, and they were spicy. Didn't taste like Lasagna at all. After reading the reviews of Upper Crust's pizza which raves about it being comparable to the pizza in the meteo NY area I decided to give it a try. I can only surmise that those reviewers either never had good pizza or have been gone so long they've forgotten what good pizza tastes like. There was almost no cheese on the pie. The sauce tasted like it came from a jar of basic bargain pasta sauce.. The crust, which was well done by request, was chewy. The Italian sweet sausage topping was seemingly cut from sausage the circumference of my pinky cut in 1/4" chunks; with an average of maybe 2 pieces per slice. Considering the price charged I felt like my pocket had been picked. The only reason the establishment was worth even one star was that the food, I hesitate to call them pizza pies, were ready when I arrived to pick them up. read more
