Brought my mother here for here birthday, Mani pedi. Preface this review by saying I don't have much experience with this sort of service. I liked their online booking and you get instant email confirmations with a file type you can save to your calendar. Their customer service was top notch and they have a very active social presence. This place is back in the cut! But it kinda aids in the relaxation and tranquility. The technicians are friendly and helpful and the environment is full on relaxation. Phyllis and Gina were awesome and my mother thoroughly enjoyed herself. She was so relaxed she almost fell asleep! Since I don't have a strong comparable for this, I asked her how it rated with her normal place, and she said this was better by far, especially for the pedicure. Oh, and it was $80 for a new set acrylic mani and spa pedi and each took about an hour and they only do 1 pedicure at a time, which stinks. I've always been skeptical about massages but a couple of months ago my wife scheduled a Swedish massage for me with Ashley and boy did my opinion definitely changed for the better. Both women are amazing and keep us coming back for more. The prices are reasonable and they even have a discount for if you come monthly. I only have two negative things to say about the Upper Hand, when I arrived at the spa and was filling out paperwork one of the employees brought her dog into the spa. I found this to be extremely unprofessional and honestly not a place for a dog to be. I am a dog lover, I have two of my own but I do not find a dog in a place of business such as a spa to be clean or professional. Also, while I was being massaged there was a lot of background noise, it made the experience hard to relax when you could hear everyone stomping around and carrying on noisy conversations of their own. However, the staff was attentive, friendly, professional in manner and I will definitely be back. I just found the dog and noise level irritating. read more

Fantastic massage! I scheduled for a 120 minute muscle melt massage and was not disappointed. I was a little nervous as David was my massage therapist and being he was quite a bit bigger than me I thought this might be a little rough. I couldn't have been more wrong. He provided the perfect amount of pressure and relieved some issues in my back I've had for years. He was the first massage therapist I've ever had that had me go nowhere for a few minutes, I was so relaxed I was forgetting to breathe. The salon was spotless and taking every precaution available to keep clients distanced and protected during this Covid pandemic. The front desk was super friendly and check in was easy. My mom and I have been customers of Phylliss for years. Right before my May 3rd wedding, I had a serious breakout on my face. Every brides nightmare! Phylliss used LED light treatment for my skin. I was amazed at the wonderful difference after only three treatments before the wedding. I had less redness. My acne was definitely faded to almost nothing and I didn't have any pore marks on my face. Not only did Phylliss give me wonderful LED facial treatments but she did my individual lashes. If you're looking for an awesome lash person to do your lashes she is the person for you. I have had individual lashes done before but she is by far, my favorite. My fiance couldn't even tell that my lashes weren't real because they look so natural. And he usually fusses about individual lashes that I have had in the past from other people. This was by far the WORST nail salon I've ever been to. Everyone pretended to know the process of the application I normally get on my nails, but the finished product did not come close to the application. The worst massage ever! I did a prenatal massage (my first btw) today with Chasity at this spa. On the form, I specifically wrote that my problem areas were my upper back and my shoulders. Chasity never went over my form prior to the massage to ask whether I wanted to spend more times on these areas, nor did she ask me the level of pressure that I wanted for my massage. During my massage, she never massaged my shoulders and her pressure was so light it was as if she was doing nothing. After the massage, she just told me it was over and left. She never told me about the massage, any problem areas she noticed during the massage, or what every other massage therapist always tells their clients...make sure to drink lots of water. I have had a lot of massages in different states with different massage therapists, and I have never seen such a lack of concern for the client. I feel really bad that I didn't get to enjoy the massage that my husband bought for me for our wedding anniversary. Update: After writing my review, I received a personal call from Chasity apologizing for not having a consultation, as well as explaining the process for the massage I received. I do appreciate that level of professionalism because I do understand how hard it is to follow up with someone who has provided a bad review. read more

Melanie is amazing at both massage and Reiki! I felt a huge positive difference in my energy after my last Reiki session with her. Upon telling my skeptic friends and family about my experience they now want to try it themselves. Melanie has a true gift and was on point with what was blocking my chakras. I have only received two sessions on Reiki and can already tell a difference in my life. I went much deeper into meditation this round, it was a totally different but liberating experience.
