We live nearby and go often. The food is very consistent and well-prepared. Love the eggs and hashbrowns. The kids rave over the pancakes and hot chocolate. Service is usually friendly. There have been a few exceptions but only when they've been really busy. We've only been once for lunch, and food was great then too (service was particularly good that day). Owner is super-friendly and greets everyone right away. read more

We went there after church. I had hamburger n she had Ruebin. My hamburger was very salty n no favor. I ate half of it. She said hers was good and it looked good. Service wasn't v good. No returns to our table or refill water, etc. In all fairness, was little below average and may try again sometime. read more

Be prepared for a GREAT breakfast IF you have lots of time on your hands. They are extremely slow at getting your food to the table. I have routinely waited a minimum of 30 minutes and on occasion almost an hour after ordering. Today took the cake and is the reason for this post. I placed at "to go" order at 8:45 a.m. to be ready for between 10:15 and 10:20. I arrived at 10:16 and waited 20 minutes for a simple order that was ordered 1 1/2 hours prior. I can go to numerous other restaurants close by and be served, eat, and gone in less than 45 minutes with food almost as good. It will be a considerable time, if ever, before Suntree gets my business again. read more

We tried this little cafe after a friend recommended it and I saw it on Groupon. We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning and arrived right when it opened at 7. Surprisingly we were not the first ones there. We got the chocolate chip pancakes, hash browns, sausage, and home fries. The pancakes were HUGE and we should have shared instead of each ordering our own. My favorite part was the home fries. They were perfectly cooked to the right amount of crunchy on the outside but not over cooked. The service wasn't exceptional, but the food came out in a reasonable amount of time and our coffee was always filled. By the time we left at 8 the place was starting to fill up. My husband and I love Suntree Cafe for breakfast. They always have great specials - usually an omelette, seasonal pancakes, and a Benedict. The staff is friendly and keep our coffee cups full. It can get crowded on Sunday mornings, but every place does. They do a great job trying to get you seated as fast as possible. read more

Service was friendly but the waitress was very forgetful and we asked several times for simple requests. Kitchen was agonizingly slow. When we did get our food it left a lot to be desired. We always try the little mom & pop places and this one was a great find when we moved out to the island. The staff is friendly, the cooks know how to prepare breakfast just the way we like, no matter what we order. The owner, Donna, makes us feel like family and we bring our family (Friends too!) here when they visit and enjoy it as well. If you love bacon, they have the thick sliced kind, the rye bread is a pumpernickel marble complementing their eggs. I had fluffy pecan pancakes served with warm syrup and turkey sausage today. I've been going to this café for years, when it was Suntree café, I went there now under new management it was the worst breakfast I've ever had I would never go back first, home fries are not just boil potatoes, they are called home fries for a reason and the French toast, the worst french toast I've ever had you could see right in the middle of the bread it wasn't even dipped in good enough for the batter to take, the color was so nasty looking, you see white bread it had no taste at all and, how expensive this place is, I can't believe how much they hiked the prices. I have only gone to this place Friday evenings. They are under new owners. The food is delicious!! It of course is a Friday "Fish and Chip" place. I have never had anything that had an ounce of a bad taste. They have Lobster rolls, of course fish and other fish grilled or Blackened and you can get chicken or beef. Their potato salad in wonderful too. I can honestly say, you won't be disappointed. It's a great place. The owner is wonderful. She is always there to greet you. Such a wonderful surprise! Had a great breakfast and even got to bring my dog! My dog was welcomed in the outside seating area with a big bowl of ice water and treats.
