Even though it was practically closing time, Sylvia was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable when I had a major problem with trying to return a laptop computer (not exactly a cheap item) to Amazon. She knew how to deal with it, even though the idiot at Amazon kept giving me the wrong info, claiming that it couldn't be sent from UPS, even though I kept explaining why it was impossible to send it from the mail room of my retirement community. Catch 22, anyone? In contrast, Sylvia aided me by offering correct advice while listening in to the phone conversation I was having with the unhelpful Amazon rep. She offered moral support until I finally insisted on speaking to an Amazon supervisor, who ultimately agreed to the obvious, "common sense" solution that both Sylvia and I knew was correct. Sylvia then aided me in forwarding to her the QR code that Amazon sent, allowing me to return the computer. Above and beyond the call of duty! Bravo, Sylvia! read more

Had a pretty good experience here. You might have to ring the bell to get the staff's attention, but once they know that you're there they are on it. I went here to return my spectrum equipment and the process was pretty quick. Will be returning for any future mailing services. read more

I went in to get something notarized. It was a fail. Apparently, the notary hours are MWF after 1pm (I'm assuming until closing but didn't ask) and all day on Saturdays. It would be considerate if they can post that on their window. Just a suggestion. When I walked in, the staff was in the restroom. Good thing no one else was in there waiting for service. Tucked away, signage is a bit meh, but that reduces the amount of people that come in which helps, IMO. I come here often to do shipping to different offices for my company, and it's only a few blocks away which is great for the morning stroll before LA heat settles into the later parts of the day. There are multiple registers and plenty of walking area in the sales floor of the store. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this place. It's just a UPS store. If you have a delivery issue because of a driver, don't blame the store... It's just a store. Take your beef with corporate and complain on Twitter or something... read more

I chose to drop off my package at this location because it's conveniently located near me but to my surprise, the clerk would not accept my package. She said my very sturdy shoebox was not a box at all. I was very confused. I had to drive about 6 miles away to the next nearest location. They accepted my package with no hesitation and a smile. Ok soooo. Set an appointment to get a notary done at noon, show up and stand in line. When we reached the front we told them why we had come in. The gentleman asks if we had an appointment which we did. The appointment was set for noon. Got my four year old out of the car, walked in and had to stand in line with her....we we did arrive a little before noon. So yes we where not late. Anyway......The gentleman informed us that he would need to call the lady that did the notary, ok fine. He then goes to tell us she was not in the day before and did Not check her emails. ( we got a notification an hour before the appointment confirming the appointment) so now we are told she "should" be in around 1:45pm Almost 2 hours after our initially appointment. We are also asked to come back during the week because this lady is.... get this "available 8:30-1" well I have a job that I work all weeK. That's the reason I made a weekend appointment. Then we are told that maybe we should drive to another city and go wait in line at AAA to get the service we came too get frOm this place. Then we are also told that if we wanted to come back. We could but that the lady was not reliable. This was in front of 3 other customers. Wow is all I can say. Very unprofessional in every aspect. So we took the liberty to have a nice lunch at Hero's, and finish our trip off with some Ice cream from Bert and Rockys. So something positive came out of our trip to downtown Claremont..... none of which this UPS store was a part of. read more

I've done business with this UPS store a few times and the majority of the interactions I received good service. On occasion I get excellent service such as today 1/17/20. Immediately when I walked in the store, I was greeted with a smile and a warm hello from Jessica. She helped me with some copies and attempted to send a fax on my behalf. Unfortunately there was a problem and the fax could not be sent (it wasn't her fault.. wrong fax #) so she asked for assistance from her supervisor Daryl. He tried to send the fax but no luck so Daryl tried calling a number on my behalf to get the current fax # but was unable to get through. I just want to say thank you, to you both for all your help and assistance. read more

Extremely disappointing service. I came here to print out an attachment for my resume and brought my own resume paper for the job. I didn't mind that my print job needed to released from the back in order to print on the copier machine, but I DID mind that the worker printed the wrong document. I patiently waited until he was done helping the other customers that were there so that they would not be upset waiting, but when it was my turn, he made up excuses as to why the wrong document was printed! I asked him to double check if he could open the correct file and his excuse was that his computer couldn't open the file because it was an acrobat/adobe file - the document that he wrongfully printed was the same format but a different page of the same document that was saved as a different file! He used up all but one of my resume paper that I brought on the wrong document! When I asked where I could go to get my job printed, he said to go to another UPS Store! Hopefully this is an isolated incident but I don't want to risk doing business at this location again. read more

This place was annoying slow. I came in to print and fax a document. First, there is no wifi and they have no thumb drive for customer use. I had to buy a water from a neighboring business in order to get their internet password to e-mail to the company. They printed my text document in the significantly more expensive color and not in black and White. They did not consult me. I found that inconsiderate. The only colored parts were a few e-mail addresses. They took my documents and faxed them for me. Their cover page was oddly missing the confirmation of the number of pages in the fax. I think that is standard. Several customers came in and were helped. The long time it took to finish processing my order was not acknowledged. In terms of customer service, they left me in the dark and feeling frustrated that customers that came in after me were getting their packages shipped. What was the status of my print & fax. In terms of a sustainable business model, FedEx Office exceeds them by a mile. They have more convenient hours. And their self-service option puts the customer in control of the process. I would have never printed my document in color and I definitely would not have taken 15 minutes to print and fax 1 document of 10 pages. And that is because I would be committed and focused on my singular task. I should compliment that the two attendants were friendly and helpful. This is a post office alternative (and I dont think it is an cheaper one). It is absolutely not a place to conduct business or run errands on a time table. 20 mins and $20 later, I was inspired to review this place. read more

I was there on 8-31-13 in the afternoon to try to mail a box through UPS. I waited for about 10 min for someone to come to the front to help me out. I saw an Asian girl helping a customer making some copies and I then learned she was the worker. l asked if there was anybody else that could help me out, she said "no" then I asked if it was going to be too long, and sarcastically and rude she responded "I don't know." Then I decided to walk out. She noticed I was standing there for a while and she did not even tell me she will be there to help me as soon as she will be done, which would be the least I would expect, but she didn't care. Being a business owner, I would not appreciate any of my employees to be careless with any customer, regardless. She is the typical employee that would not go the extra mile as maybe she is not very happy with her job position or underpaid, according to her. Visited this place on MLK around 3:50, I spend about 20 mins here before I was able to get to the front desk and get help. (The long was fairly long , there was about 3 people ahead of me) usually there is only one staff member working the front desk and it's not a problem because there is no line. However, upon this visit it was a little frustrating and inconvenient to wait in line for so long even though the woman at the front desk seemed like she was trying her best. Her customer service could be a little more efficient, it seemed like she wasn't rushing, rather she was taking her time. I would give this location a 3 in rating, it definitely needs more staff present for busy times. It's a good thing the people waiting in line were nice and patient. From 4-6pm it's often so busy that you can't get through on the phone. Still, I find that these guys are doing their best under difficult circumstances. After having two different thefts from my front porch (and the police caught the culprits both tomes and returned my property), I decided to make use of the UPS store to receive my packages. It has worked great. The eMail notices are just what I look for and that way I just drop by on the way home from work. They are closed Sundays. I can get mail, but not packages on Sunday. If I had a wish it would be to have a small window of hours on Sunday to pick up packages. However that wish is not enough to lower my rating. Service desk personnel are very pleasant even in the middle of the Christmas rush. read more

Every time I go to this location I feel like the employee behind the counter has been there for three days and is all by themselves and don't know how to do anything. I have never successfully gotten anything done there on the first try, whether it was shipping, printing, or picking up a package. Today I planned ahead and used the UPS website Quick Prints and Copies Service to send my files ahead for printing on a Saturday. After not getting an update for several hours I called the location only to find out that, once again, the girl was behind the counter was new and was there all by herself and had no idea how to access my files from the website. They closed at 5 PM and at 5:15 I was still standing in the store along with 3 other customers waiting to ship. When I finally did get my print outs, they were on the wrong weight of paper, 20# vs. 28# which I had already pre-paid for. The paperweight and quality of the paper was important because this print out was part of my college midterm project. I paid for a higher quality paper with a laminated finish and I got cheap copy paper you can see through. I was told it was the only paper they had. The most remarkable thing is that throughout this entire process, the brand new employee made me feel as though it was somehow my fault that I didn't already know that store location's email address and didn't send my files directly to them instead of going through their website and using a service that they offer to customers. I can only assume that the reason they're employees are constantly brand new is because it is an any more fun to be a employee there then it is to be a customer. read more

Beware of using online price calculator. It is unreliable and when you go in, UPS rates will be higher. All weights and dimensions match what I put in online. This happened to me twice. I won't use UPS again for shipping. It's like bait and switch when you compare online price to what it will actually cost. read more

We got our passport pictures taken at the ups in San Dimas, but the picture were taken incorrectly. We found out it was taken incorrectly on our drive back to Claremont. We called the Claremont ups and they told us that they could retake the picture without paying. When we arrived they tell us that since it was taken at a different location the. It would need to be retaken there or we would have to pay for the photos. Pretty disappointed they didn't jus tell us that instead of us driving all the way there. We could have turned back and went to the original office. PLEASE GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT. There is no need to waste customers time by telling them one thing, then talking to your boss and dining out something different. Also no need to lie about what you said. It's a good etiquette to have to go by what you say. Even if it was wrong, it's good to honor it for the customer. Pretty disappointed. read more

I walked into this store to mail a package to an APO in Germany. The clerk had no idea what an APO was, had no idea how to send my package. She was trying to charge me an international rate. She said I don't know how to do it and the manager wasn't there. The other clerk there didn't know how to do it either. Total waste of time. Everyone that complains here sound like whiny spoiled people who expect to be treated like royalty everywhere they go. I go to this UPS store all the time and it's just a normal UPS store with normal UPS staff. They're not rude or incompetent. They're young staff and not as experienced in the customer service field but they're always helpful and nice. For the person that complained that they don't have flash drives for customers,TOO BAD! You should have brought your own or done your research and been more prepared. Stop being babies and just deal with the fact that you're not worthy of being treating like you're special. read more

So unfortunately I was notified just recently that my delivery did not make it through due to the fact that there was no response at the door, but I was home all day during the time of the "delivery" and did not hear any knock at the door as I was sitting right next to it. I was then notified that it was dropped off at the nearest UPS. I checked the hours for the location on yelp and google and both had said this location closes at 6:30pm. I live nearby and by the time I got there at 6:10pm, the sign said they close at 6pm. Overall, I was quite dissappointed with the service today. read more

Ironically, the worst place to ship UPS near Claremont is the UPS Store. They're always understaffed and so you wait in long lines. They also have the problem that there are staff members who could be helping you out but they're off doing other things and don't bother prioritizing customer service. Once I was there and there was a guy literally moving bags of packing peanuts from one spot to another spot 20 feet away, and the people in line had to say "hey can you maybe ring someone up?" read more
