Euge... bro. Stop playing on your phone in the back and help the customers. We were standing out front and the employee was just sitting in the back playing on his phone.

Nothing wrong here. Standard UPS store. They are friendly and quick and did. Great job helping me. They have copiers and mailboxes. Conveniently located in orange venue. Prices really reasonable. Not open on Sundays but their hours are more than reasonable to meet your needs.

It is so much easier to go to Derik Mundt's UPS than trying to go and wait in long lines at the Coronado Post Office. You are greeted promptly with a smile and helpful hand. The owner is a member of the Lions Club of Coronado and helps with local charity events and gives his time and treasure to help the Community. All your shipping needs will be taken care of and most importantly, honestly and integrity is what you will find at this store.

I had to drive my car halfway off the base and then walk the rest of the way because it would've been an hour to get to town. Second of all, I want to point out that one of my officers, who is an extremely competent woman, was looked down on when she asked a question at this very location. I almost wrote a review for her alone, and then forgot about it. Then I happen to be opening up Escrow for a home and when I looked up places in Coronado that do money wiring, transfers, Postal Annex came up as one of the results. I quickly asked the woman with dark hair and glasses if they do wiring, and she rolled her eyes and said no. I laughed bashfully and said that was kind of rude. But inside, I wanted to yell at her so badly. In fact, I almost took a picture of her, but I don't want to ruin her full reputation. She may not have known about my hour trek just to get there and the four places that also didn't have money wiring where other people were polite about it, but she doesn't have to know that to have common decency. It is not right for any one in Customer Service to treat service members or anyone like they are stupid for asking a question. I really hope that whoever is in charge of these representatives can please sit down with these employees and tell them how to do Customer Service. I have worked in Customer Service since I was 16 and I would never treat anyone the way. The behavior was incredibly entitled for no reason and they ruin a lot of days for intelligent people new to the area, completely shutting down the art of curiosity and exploration. I would never attend this Postal Annex if my life depended on it anymore.

Despite the label already covering the shipping costs, I was unexpectedly charged an additional $5 for shipping. Additionally, I was informed about a $30 membership fee, which was not initially disclosed. This extra cost seemed unreasonable, leading me to believe this location is overpriced. For future shipping needs, I recommend considering the FedEx center on the other side of the island, as it may offer more transparent and fair pricing. UPDATE: The business owner is now threatening fraud for malicious intent!? WILD. I walked into the store yesterday before noon to drop off my package when the man at the desk said it'll be $5 to get a receipt with tracking for my package that was already paid for. I drop off these packages at least twice a month for the past 2 years and have never experienced this issue -- from authorized ship centers or FedEx. My review is not emotional; it's just factual. There are fees associated here that I have never seen at other businesses. I hope that my review allows others to understand what is happening before they go in. I understand your "business" but others should be aware of the costs. I went to Postal Annex down the street and had a much pleasant experience dropping off my package. They're also a authorized ship center.

I explain this to the guy and he tells me if I owned a business I would understand. I tell him that I do own a business and I don't understand. It's like 1,000x markup. If I charged my clients 1,000x markup I wouldn't have any. He tells me $2 for the email and $.50 for the print. Ridiculous. What does an email cost? Nothing. What's one single sided piece of paper cost him? $.20, maybe. Last time I was there I spent hundreds+ shipping Christmas gifts to clients. Done that many times. That's never happening again, as I clearly overpaid.

When the owner of that store notified me he was leaving, I decided to move my box to this UPS store in Point Loma. When I did, I assumed all stores like this were the same. That was the furthest from the truth. The guys here understand the importance of repeat business and do all they can to make that happen. Everyone receives a warm greeting and if you're a regular, they will often greet you by name. I know of a lot of businesses that offer excellent customer service, but there are only a few places I would put in that top-tier and this is one of them. This store is open seven days a week, including some holidays and has extended hours making it easier for those who have restricted schedules. In contrast, my last box was only available six days a week, during bankers hours, with shorter hours on Saturday and closed on Sunday. What a difference and a refreshing change. If you rent a box here, they offer email notification when a package is delivered. At my last location, I had to try and guess when it would arrive. They have a dedicated parking lot next to the store. It's small, but you can usually find parking and if it's full, you don't have to wait long for a spot to free up. A lot of people seem to mail packages through here and do Amazon returns. They always provide the best customer service and move people through quickly and efficiently. If you need help with anything, they are very patient. They also offer other services like notary, passport photos and shredding to name a few. The isn't just a store. The way these guys run it, it's a valuable asset to the community and the gold standard for representing the UPS Store brand. Keep up the world class work guys!

If you're looking for a business mailbox, I caution you against Mail Station!…read more I signed up for a box with them in January 2024. At the time, customer service was great and I was really happy to be a customer. For a long time, I got my mail and had no issues. (Though I did often have package slips but no package) Then, in February of 2026, I got very sick, resulting in a hospital stay and major surgery. Once I got out of the hospital, I realized my payment to Mail Station hadn't come out of my business account. I called multiple times. No answer, so I left a message with my name and number explaining that I had been in the hospital, but I wanted to bring my account current if possible. I wasn't able to even walk at the time, so I couldn't go in. I never got a response. I assumed I'd changed the card on file and that my account was current, as I never heard anything. That was my mistake. In June 2026, I am finally physically functional again. I go in to check my mailbox and notice the mail inside isn't for me. I approach the counter and say, "I think my mailbox has been reassigned." They confirmed it had. I ask "Why, was I delinquent in payment?" The older man and the young woman behind the counter look me up in the system, but said they didn't know why my box was reassigned. I asked where my mail was. They didn't know that either. They asked if I had been out of town for a bit. I explained I was in the hospital getting surgery and hadn't been able to come in. I explained that'd I'd called Mail Station, and even left a detailed message with no response. They said, "Oh. Wow. Well, we don't know." So: - Mail Station closed my account without any attempt to contact me. No calls, no emails. If payment is the reason for the closure, I would've happily taken care of my account if I'd been contacted. As it stands, no one can confirm why my account was closed. - Mail Station reassigned my box without asking for the key back or changing the lock on the mailbox. This gave me access to another business' mail. That's not cool for the other business owner. I wish I remembered their name so I could let them know. - Mail Station lost, threw away, returned, or otherwise misplaced my mail but couldn't tell me anything about it. - Mail Station didn't attempt to in any way resolve the issue and I barely got an apology. They didn't even ask for the key back--I volunteered it as I never want to do business with them again and it's super unethical for me to have access to another business' mail. If you value your mail, which I assume you do since you're looking to rent a box, Mail Station is NOT your best option.
