This UPS store truly does everything they can to help you out. Recently a package of mine got destroyed. I received a phone call from Joseph alerting me that the package was destroyed and UPS was denying any claim for "failure to package correctly" Luckily I had taken a picture of the box and I asked him to open the claim back up since I had proof it was packaged well. He was happy to help and opened the claim back up. I asked him to send me pictures of where the box failed to prove what they were claiming. Claims take a little but a few weeks later Joseph called me and let me know that the claim was approved. He told me to send proof of cost for the item. We ship a lot of packages during the holidays and have returns to drop for from time to time, and I've always had good experiences whenever I use this UPS store. I went there today to drop off a heavy Amazon return and what I thought could be an ordeal was just a breeze. I made sure the box was well taped up and the shipping label that I printed at home was affixed as requested. So when I got there, I just walked in, set it on the counter, and the guy asked me if I wanted a receipt. I took the printout with the tracking info that he gave me, and that was that. Every time I've been there, there have been a whole team of helpful upbeat guys bustling around behind the counter, going in and out of the backroom area, or helping customers in other areas of the store. I once needed to have a document notarized and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to do there. The employees have always been friendly and very informative with whatever I've needed. It's great to have a shipping center that's consistent and reliable. Awesome service! read more

Realllllyyy bad customer service. Of course being more understanding of essential workers (because I am one too) I would normally cut some slack, but I walked in and asked for a cart since I had a lot of packages and there was a line. The guy proceeded to ask me to wait so I stood there for about 5 minutes watching each person get in line as the line grew. I then proceeded to just take things out one by one of my car that was parked across the street and go wait in a line I would have been through if the guy just gave me a cart. Like I said, I understand that due to the pandemic, things are difficult but this guy was so rude and unhelpful. Then when he went to ring me up. He was throwing my packages around like they were trash. Whatever though, I guess if my product shows up to amazon damaged, we know who to blame. P.S this was the manager or supervisor working on 5/12 at 4:15 PST. Zero stars. Workers are rude and irresponsible. They had a line out the door but 3 people decided to go on break. Another short rude guy with facial hair was ignoring people talking to him. He must really hate his job. To top it all off he and some other remain worker weren't even wearing masks in a state mandate! The girl was even coughing!! When asked why they weren't wearing masks, the employee said I didn't have to shop there and the door was behind me. Like I'd get it if it was the mail shack or something, but ups??! Im shook. Couple of problems. They give receipts that are NOT accurate, leaving off vital information on costs and what exactly was paid for. Beware MUCH less expensive to have the REAL UPS pick up at your place than ship out from a franchised store. Total rip off on insurance rates twice as much as real UPS. A great experience from the managers to every single employee going above and beyond to help me in anyway that they can. I mainly work with Joseph but like I said everyone that works there is great! Horrible. Went yesterday to drop off a pre-paid item (ebay return) and asked for a small UPS shipping box. "Oh, we don't have any and since that's Ground, shipping boxes aren't free from UPS." Really - are you sure? was my response. "Oh yes - they aren't free." There's a UPS Distribution Center (Aliso Viejo) near my house, you mean they're going to charge me also for a shipping box? "Yes, because it's Ground." I leave, head home, stop off at the UPS Dist. Center near my house and ask if they have any shipping boxes / material for a pre-paid item. "Oh of course we do!" and ask what size I need; small, med. or large. I tell them of my experience at the UPS Store and they just shake their head "NO" and roll their eyes. Also - one company that I worked for had a UPS account, so I know for a fact that all the shipping materials are free from UPS but rather than cause a scene I just decided to #WalkAway. read more

Todd is a shipping artist. If I'm sending something valuable or fragile (i.e a painting or computer etc. ) he is the guy to go to. Watching him resize standard sized boxes to custom fit your non-standard painting is a show worth watching. And don't even bother trying to bubble wrap etc. at home - he will do it faster and better. read more

Do not be fooled by the name of the store, these places have very little to do with UPS. Basically a typical mailbox store with UPS pickup. You will overpay by a very high % if you pay for your shipping here as opposed to online. I've gone to this store many times to drop off prepaid UPS packages. Never really an issue as not much service is required. The other day, however, I had an odd shaped, but not necessarily large, item I needed to ship and wanted to see if they had a box that may work. I told them the dimensions and he looked and looked at their list of boxes and said they didn't have one around that size to sell me, but if I brought the piece in they could modify a box to work. I didn't want to pay someone else to pack it for me, so I declined. He then mentions that they don't charge a fee to pack, you simply pay for the supplies required. So I asked how much the box would be to which he responded $18!!!! For a single brown box! Then he estimated other packing would make the total cost around $30!!! After my "holy shit!" reaction i think he knew I wouldn't be paying for that! Do people actually pay them these prices for a damn box?! That's absolutely ridiculous. Sure, you don't have to charge for your time because it's already baked into the supplies cost! I'll never even go back to this place to drop off packages. I'll be dropping off at the Staples on 17th St now. read more

I took my TV in it's original box to be sent to me in Florida. I had another large box which the agent put on the dolly and put the TV on top. The TV fell. I said I hope it didn't break. When it was delivered it was broke. In that same corner there was a crack. I called the owner of the store and he would not accept the blame. In my opinion the owner has no integrity. read more

I have lived in the area all my life and I came to drop something off at this UPS location returning something to Amazon. I was very unfortunate to have Kelly as the person to help me. Later finding out he was the manager! Wow. This is my fist time having to go thru UPS as I usually drop off at Kohl's where they are exceptional with their customer service. He was unhelpful and actually very rude. Making me feel uncomfortable. Eating and talking to me stuffing his face with food. I left and returned at a later time once again he was rude. Thankfully a younger man with a beard blond hair and blue eyes came up to the counter and took over helping me with my delivery. He was exceptional. Patient and walked me thru the return process. I didn't get his name but he knows who he is. You made me feel very comfortable and not embarrassed Never Having gone thru the UPS Amazon return. Thank you. I called to find out how much colored copies were and it took about 5 minutes for them to answer this super simple question. I work at a nearby business and plan to print in larger quantities and fairly often. They were unable to offer any sort of discount for bulk orders. I'm really familiar with the UPS store and went there often when I worked at another location in Redondo Beach. Their pricing at the other UPS store was much more reasonable and they offered discounts for bulk orders. Oh by the way, I emailed the documents to this UPS store that I needed printed out and they charged me a $7.50 computer fee. That is just bad business. RIP OFF! read more

The staff is friendly and helpful until UPS looses your package. Then forget it! My very critical package with an original car title from out of state along with some other related documents was lost by UPS. However the staff and particularly the owner of this store were very unresponsive to my plight. After using this store for a number of years, I will never use them or UPS again!! If i could give negative 10 stars i would. i lost my receipt with tracking number and called this location where i initially got it from after i paid for a service. I called and told the guy my issue and then he asked for a date to locate the receipt easier. i told him if he had a min for me to take a quick look and i had another question before i went on to do that BUT the guy was so nasty and rude he only said "give me a call me back when you find it, i have too many people in line" and clicked immediately and was very bothersome. how nasty. He didnt EVEN let me ask my other question about prices. i called back right after and asked if i could speak to a manager and the voice sounded the same as the rude person that clicked on me and said he was the manager. I told him about what happened and he didnt even care to ask who i spoke to bc i knew it was him that did that/ spoke to me like that. I even asked him "was that u? Bc it sounds like u" and he was playing a game saying he didnt know. that it could have been anybody, trying to throw others under the bus. I have names and he told me his was kelley and that he was the store manager. Other 3 names he gave me were alex, joseph, and phil. But he kept saying his name was kelley.This call happened sept 28 2017 at around 12:40pm . do not go there. Avoid at all costs. So rude and rushed. I usually used to go there for services but never again. already called corporate to see what they do about this. To the Response below my review: Btw, i wasnt even mad about not being able to track/find envelope bc i was unsure . I was pissed off for the dry response i received. AND NO. Worst experience this morning. I have been there several times and realize that they aren't the most happy people working there but they were always respectful and helpful and I never had a bad experience. Today, knocks it out of the park. Went in to get a document notarized with my mom. It was a document for me and I needed my mom's signature to be notarized. I have been there SEVERAL TIMES for notaries and never had a problem. The usual guy wasn't there so instead I get stuck with a racist white old guy with glasses. I was trying to be helpful bc I know what the usual guy needs... And since I prepared the document I tried to explain to the guy what the document was and gave him my mother's license. Meanwhile she is standing next to me the entire time. I was just getting everything ready for him and from there he can deal with my mom. He doesn't even say hi or anything and starts with what kind of notary do you need. I was never asked that before so I was confused. I told him we need this document notarized and he starts lecturing us about how there are two types and he can't decide which one we need. Funny bc all the times I got something notarized there ... I never was asked what I wanted. It goes downhill from that point on. He looks at my mother and asked if she speaks English at which point she replies in English and tells him good morning and he goes on and on about how he needs to speak to her and not me. I was only helping him by giving him the things they usually ask for and he was more than welcome to ask my mother any questions. I didn't think physically giving him the ID instead of my mom was going to be a problem. Long story short- we felt humiliated and he could have just said "I need to speak to your mother directly" instead of asking if she speaks English. Completely offensive from the start. My mother insisted we leave bc she was embarrassed and didn't want to deal with him. So rude!!!! So insulting. Won't go there again. read more
