This store is so poorly run that they lost 2 of my amazon returns in the last 6 months. I don't have many returns and it is so frustrating that the clerk told me just leave it on the counter and a week later I checked on Amazon and nothing is logged. This is probably the worst store I've ever been to in my lifetime. Keep in mind I'm a Cupertino native, so I've been coming here (with reluctance) for over a decade now. Where do I start? 1. The owner (Dina?) doesn't seem to give a damn about customer service. It's always about ripping the customer off. Packages that I price online somehow come out so much more expensive at this location. 2. On top of poor pricing, they try to charge you for anything possible. I'm a photographer, and I use Borrowlenses. I shipped to this location once and Dina tried to charge me $10 to pickup. I argued, but she would not relent. This is an independent pickup charge from the shipping charge which the shipper pays for. 3. I've dropped packages off here and it's always so hard to get a receipt out of them. It's like because if I don't get ripped off by them and print my own labels, they get upset and take their attitude out on me. 4. I hate to be the guy who runs out of tape but it happened once. I was charged an arm and a leg at this store. Meanwhile two other stores (San Jose, and San Francisco) had no problem doing some taping for me even though I offered to pay. This store just feels like a zero customer service site that's trying to nickel and dime everyone. I know that's an Asian stereotype, but hey, as an Asian myself, I have to say to this store to stop making us look bad. read more

This is a great UPS store with incredibly friendly staff. The only downside is that the shopping center has been under construction so parking was a pain. It's getting better, but sometimes difficult to find a spot. It's worth it though as the woman who works there (the owner) is very nice and helpful. read more

I hope Dina and Ken Patel still work there. They were certainly the sweetest, generous, most helpful people and left me a great impression of UPS! (I had pretty bad experience with rude customer service at other carriers so I kinda expected the same thing when I first visit this UPS. They proved me wrong.) I was there a couple times between 2014 and 2015 to mail multiple documents for green card, passport and other applications. I would come with just the paperwork and Dina would help me with packing and creating labels. She also gave me suggestion on the cheapest services to go with, depending on how urgent I need to send in my stuff. My documents always arrive on time. On my second visit she remembered me by name! When we went to send application for my husband's visa, they would chat with us about traveling. They were a pleasant to work with! read more

Not just one employee, but all here have a very consistent practice of ripping off and cheating their customers. I have been here many times due to location to ship stuff and every time they quote me an astronomic price. I started cross-checking with ups.com shipping quotes before entering the store so yesterday is an example: I got a quote online for $120, and when I went in to ship it, the clerk tried to charge me $300. When I objected, she remeasured the package and said oops got a measurement wrong. Another example, I got a quote for $130 and I told the clerk it's wrong he said I'm welcome to use their computer (which he charged me $4 for) to print out a label from UPS.com. Which I did for $110. That's an arbitrary $20 rip-off. This store should be removed from the franchise, it's giving UPS a bad name. read more

I had a terrible experience here and I genuinely think it's because the older Indian woman Dina -same from all the other complaints- was a dishonest business owner. I came to ship something as a favor for someone and the total was almost $40, I paid and told my friend who then told me he has a shipping label. I understand this part was our fault as customers. However when I returned back to the store within less than 10 minutes, Dina fabricated some story about how she "already made a label and there was no way she could give me a refund because of the system." When I spoke with ups customer service they told me that if the package is still in the store, a refund is possible and I was staring at the package in the store. Long story short, I get the package back and had to take a final for school so I left. Dina calls me and tells me that I have caused HER an inconvenience when I responded with no, you caused me an inconvenience and she hung up on me. Classy. I only got the refund bc I was on and off the phone with customer service throughout the day. Yeah an inconvenience for her it was when all she did was happily charge me $40. Customers are not their best interest here..maybe they need a more fulfilling job bc they are unsatisfied af and it shows in how they act and treat people. I found out they are a privately owned UPS store which is unfortunate bc this really tarnishes their name as a company which I have never had problems with before. read more

I used this office for last 10 year for shipping because it is very near to me. I never real like customer service here but I never did any complain . Today I have prepaid labor and need little tape . The offer me to purchase tape for $5 or will charge me $1 for 5 inch tape . I ask did you joking with me and lady was looking to me very min. The gentleman in the frontdesk was picky about my packaging. I did not want to go to another store, so I said I can buy a bubble envelope and repackage it here. The envelop is sold at Amazon for $24 for 100 envelopes. But he wanted to charge me $3 each. I was outrageous. I left and went a different UPS, and which accepted my package without any issue. I totally, wholeheartedly, and completely agree with the many many negative comments below for the particular UPS store. It was by far the most horrible experience among all the ups, FedEx and USPS stores that I've been to. The lady (who self proclaimed as the manager when I asked to speak to her supervisor. Judging from many comments below, it should be the same Indian old woman named Dina) was rude and condescending! All I asked was a receipt for my Amazon returns, which was always given to me when I asked in all of the ups stores that I've been to. But she lectured me and said that was 8 years ago and now the tracking did everything. Having the tracking is different from having the receipt as proof of shipment because things did get lost or failed to be scanned etc. She was so hostile, and made the slightest thing impossibly difficult. Her reluctance to give people receipt, which seems systematic based on the many reviews below, makes me wonder if she has a motive , say stealing the package and just claim that it was never dropped off because people won't have a receipt as proof. Anyway, do ask for a receipt when you drop off anything. Or avoid this store because it's probably gonna be very unpleasant anyway! read more

I printed a return label from Amazon to drop off some items, but the store owner charged $1 for sealing the box properly; honestly I'm ok with paying a dollar for it, but after seeing that he didn't give me any receipt nor put in the sale in the register, I immediately laugh so hard inside....lol, is it really worth it for a dollar? To those who are getting charged $20 to do a notary, that is illegal. The only time you can charge more than the statutory rate is when you are a traveling notary. If you have been charged more than $10 for a notary then you need to to report them to the CA Secretary of the State or to any law enforcement agency. They can get into some serious trouble. I went here for a notary because it's near my home and I was in a hurry. I can't say I had a good experience. 1. The listed hours are 9-5 on Saturdays. I arrived at 4:40 and found it was locked. The clerk let me in, but said he'd only handle my request if I paid in cash. 2. He used a lot of jargon when speaking with me. It is any professional's job to distill the technical details of their profession into something meaningful to a layperson. He didn't do that at all. When asked directly if he could handle my notary request in a way that would result in my background check being apostilled, he said I should go research it myself. 3. He came off as rude and surly. There are probably cultural issues at play here, but it did not make for a pleasant experience. I left here in frustration without getting my document notarized. Although I was short on time, I just didn't feel confident that this guy would handle my request properly. I don't think he was trying to be a jerk, but he lacked professionalism. I then went to the Postal Annex on Homestead Rd. in Santa Clara. They knew exactly what I needed, and handled my request smoothly and professionally. Used to bring my pre-paid Amazon packages to this store, but decided that I no longer wanted to deal with the rude service. On many occasions, I politely asked if it would be possible to have a receipt printed to confirm that my pre-paid package properly scanned and logged. Each time this simple request was met in incredible reluctance and a terrible attitude by an older lady who works at the store (I'm guessing one of the owners?). According to this lady, the reason for her reluctance in printing me a label is that packages could be tracked online with the number provided. While true, I wanted PHYSICAL, immediate confirmation on a printed receipt indicating that the label was valid, since I had encountered issues in the past where my pre-paid packages were returned to me erroneously. This is a simple request that would save me a lot of hassle, especially in providing proof to retailers such as Amazon that I did, in fact, bring my package to a UPS store within the allowed return window, and that it was, in fact, shipped. The real reason for her reluctance, of course, was the meager costs associated with printing a receipt. I think the practice would be understandable and fair if they chose not to provide receipts by default unless explicitly requested. But unless that's the case, treating drop-off customers like second-rate citizens with that sort of attitude is a guarantee that I'll never bring my business to their store to fulfill my other shipping-related needs. I've been going to the UPS located at 1072 S De Anza Blvd instead. The workers there have been immeasurably more friendly and polite. read more

SHIP WITH ANOTHER LOCATION. I wish I had read the other reviews here first. I had a 2lb very small (5x5x5") box to ship to Alabama. My ebay buyer gave me $30 for 2nd-day air, but this place wanted $68! That was ridiculous for such a small lightweight package; I had it sent by ground for $28 and had to refund my buyer money. I just came in a few minutes ago to drop off two boxes to be sent back to amazon. I was expecting for it to be a fast trip in and out as whenever I was dropping off a parcel, the employees would sinply get the box, check contents, tape it and send me on my way. However, at this location, I was greeted by an Indian woman who tried to get me to pay $2 for simply taping the shipping label to the box. We ended up having a discussion on how ridiculous it was to be paying $2 for a few inches of tape. I tried leaving at which point she refused to let me go to a different store where I wouldnt be asked to pay $2 for tape and insisted that I had to ship from there. She eventually relented and said that she would let me go this time but that next time I would have to pay. No need, as I will never be returning to this location again. read more

I had a Piperlime prepaid package to get rid of this morning, and I didn't have tape on my package, but was totally willing to pay for it. Except ... she didn't offer to have me pay for the tape. Instead she lectured me once before she helped me about how I need to tape the package myself at home first, and then, she helped someone else, and lectured me yet again when she came back and eventually tapped up my package. Did I really need to be lectured twice when I was perfectly willing to pay? Ok there is no way to select 0 stars as this is what this business deserves. I went to ship a package costing 900 dollars via ups. I am expecting it to be under $20 as it is a local package. Go there, fill up the form and then I hear the rates, $48. So I asked why is it so hight and I was told it is because of the insurance which is $3 per 100. So I said that is now what UPS charges, and I was told it because UPS uses a different company and the store uses a better company so it is high! I am like I am not shopping for insurance and comparing which comapny is better I want to ship a package via UPS and want the package to get there.. Anyways walked out of there, went round the shopping complex and shipped the same package via FedEx for $14.65 insured fully. What a rip off! Never going to go that store ever. read more

If you wish to spend $130 for $13 worth of service, this is the place for you! 6 months back I went to mail a letter. Was too lazy to go to the PO. This was not urgent-needed no special handling. Just wanted it mailed to SF from Cupertino. I mentioned all these facts to the owner. He does his stuff and hands me a bill for $70!!! Couldnt he have given me a quote before printing out the Fedex labels etc???!! It doesnt end there-I walked in to get a doc notarized. It states I have the originals of 10 other docs. I talked to several notaries-they said its $10 to notarize the one signature on this doc. I discussed this with the owner-he makes all the entries in all his books etc. And hands me a bill for $100!! Thats $10 X 10 (the 10 comes from stating that I had the originals of 10 docs). Creative interpretation meant to put a hole in your pocket. He discounted to $60 eventually. Nice-for a $10 job! In a nutshell, ASK FOR THE TOTAL COST and do NOT hand them your package or doc till you get your quote! read more
