What a refreshing experience to finally find a business that offers CUSTOMER SERVICE and goes out of it's way to help you from start to finish. As retired business owner and active EBay seller I have tried most of the different shipping methods, encountering both good and bad experiences. It doesn't take too many good or bad happening to make decisions as to where you spend your shipping dollars. Owner/Manager Mike Lockett and his employees continually go out of their way to make each transaction as trouble free as possible. From the moment you enter the store, you are greeted with a friendly acknowledgement. a smile and professionalism regarding your needs. A recent experience with unfortunate internal merchandise damage of 2 expensive glass lamps and processing a claim highlighted what CUSTOMER SERVICE really means and proves why they want to earn your future business, When is the last time you tried collecting on an insurance claim???. The store was advised of the breakage and they initiated the filing the claim, getting inspections made of the damage, keeping me updated as to what was happening and taking the time to call and advise that the claim had been paid and my refund was available for store pickup. If that isn't true CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PROVING THEY WANT TO EARN YOUR BUSINESS: then one has to be stupid to go any where else. Quite simply the best shipping center around! I do a lot of online shopping for because I require big and tall items. Whenever I need to sent packages back I go to see Mike. He and his staff and ALWAYS in a good mood and willing to help no matter the size or amount of items. I've been to some centers where I knew more about shipping requirements than them. Or they took forever and/or really didn't care about me or my stuff. I've lived here in DP for 25 years and this place has been here since I moved in and I have always had good experiences with this store. I have been using the Dana Point UPS Store on Del Prado in the Lantern District since 2008. I always receive great service from every employee and especially the owner Mike Lockett. I receive my business mail there, design my own business cards, receive discounts on shipping services and they are always happy to check my mail box with a phone call saving me a stop during my busy days. Just yesterday Mike once again delivered great service by directly getting involved to ensure a critical package was delivered on a timely basis to a remote town in British Columbia, Canada that no one has ever heard of. Each time I come here, I am treated to friendly, professional and efficient service. I usually package my own shipments but this last time I had no choice but to hand over a fragile item without a box or packing materials to protect it. Mike the owner personally packaged my item at it arrived in perfect condition. There is a UPS Store closer to my house but I try to ship from this location whenever possible. It's worth the extra drive for such excellent customer service, plus it's a nice drive to Dana Point. read more

Great service from Mike and the staff. They recently shipped a painting of mine to a Museum exhibition out of State. The paperwork process was easy and Mike set my mind at ease that it would be there when it was supposed to be. This was important as the Museum had a strict deadline.
