I'm honestly disappointed to see how many of these reviews target peoples weight and ethnicity as a way of demeaning them. My mother died unexpectedly and I was left to scramble to ship multiple items to another state including a piece of antique furniture. Sonny and Carolina could not have been more patient and kind to my boyfriend and I. Sonny went beyond what I would expect of anyone to ensure that I was getting a fair price on freight shipping after we determined my package was too large for traditional shipping. Sonny also helped me ship multiple other awkwardly shaped and heavy packages and took the time to make sure that I was able to get everything done all while still making time to assist others so they wouldn't have to wait too long. I would recommend Sonny and Carolina to anyone, yes they will admit they move a little slower but they were kind to everyone who was kind to them. I personally observed multiple people who walked in rude and were granted a graciousness that they did not deserve. read more

NEVER!!!! bring your shredding to this location! They don't secure your confidential documents until "they are ready to". This means that your papers get put behind the counter in whatever you brought them in until "when we are caught up with all of their Amazon packages and other things". I was literally the only person in the store. Maria lectured me that this was not the priority. I have never gone to a UPS who did not immediately put my papers into the shred bin. I have always come here for shipping, Amazon returns and have never had a problem, but I will never return to this location. I paid for secure storage of my papers and it didn't happen until I called three hours later (when the manager came in) and I asked her to do it!! Unbelievable!!! Oh and the cherry on top was that Maria lied and told Dakota that there were several people in the store. DJ was super nice and helpful and I'm sure he can clarify what happened since he was on his way to the shred bin and Maria literally took the bag of papers out of his hands. This is almost a criminal enterprise. I work for a volunteer organization and was tasked with a printing job. I needed a print b/w print job of 800 or so pages. I needed to help the staff figure out how to operate the printer, and I had to help hand-staple 55 presentations. The price was outrageous (23 cents per page). I found out that other shops nearby were machine-stapled, 7-9 cents per page. I could not get the manager/owner/franchisee to call back after many attempts. Do not give them your money. read more

I am frequently at UPS and at times different locations. I wanted to write this review for Carolina at this location. I arrived 5 mins before the store closing and felt terrible that it was so close to closing but Carolina couldn't have been sweeter!! She didn't make me feel badly how late it was and actually went out of her way to help me package up a box I was sending to my daughter! Because of this excellent customer service and Carolina being nice and patient I will be making sure I only go to this location going forward because of Carolina exceeding my expectations and truly was an absolute angel! Back in the end of June, I took my daughter in to mail a large package back to her home in New Jersey! Sonny was the owner at the time, a nice old man. They packaged the item and added insurance as it was expensive! They charged my Daughter $480.00 for the Packing and shipping with insurance!! Unfortunately the package arrived Damaged ! I notified the store owner Sonny who said he would start the claim! The UPS store has changed owners UPS has denied the claim as they said the process is incorrect? This review is long overdue. My mother passed away unexpectedly the end of May. My sister and I had a couple of sentimental framed paintings and figurines that we want to keep but needed to ship them (to DC and across country to OR). My sister was shipping 1 large painting box and 1 small box of figurines (that were already in their original boxes). I needed a box for 2 medium sized paintings and 1 small painting plus a small/medium sized box of figurines (again in their original boxes) to be sent to OR. The woman that helped us had no idea how to package our things nor how much to charge. We spent 30 minutes waiting for the owner to finish up his appointment with a nurse in the back of the store, so that he could help. He started looking up pricing and boxing. He fit the paintings into 2 different boxes but said that he would not be able to fully wrap them and seal them until a little later and said that we should leave everything there and that he would have it all boxed and ready to go. They tagged the items that were to go to my sister and the ones to go to me. We left with our receipt (over $1200!!) and returned the next day with a couple of additional items. The owner was not there but his sister (?) Maria who was very kind, was able to help us with the additional shipping of the items. While we were waiting for our additional items to be packaged, we noticed that there were 2 large sealed painting boxes that had shipping labels on them. We asked if those were our boxes and Maria confirmed that they were. The problem was that the larger box was obviously filled with my 3 paintings and set to ship to my sister instead of to me! The other box (not as large) obviously contained 1 painting and was being sent to me instead of my sister who lived across the country from me! Really?? If we had not stopped back, both of our packages would be going to the wrong addresses. Maria was totally amazed and had to cancel that order and reship; unfortunately, that meant that everything had to be re-entered and re-sealed. There were other issues but it was a complete failure with no one taking any responsibility of what would have been a disaster. Plus we were way overcharged for this!! We were on a crunch timeline and needed to get to the airport, so we were stuck using this place. If you like to be aggravated, do business here...if you want someone who cares and wants to do things the right way and run a business instead of scalping his customers...go somewhere else! read more

Sonny and the other lady working there would not accept my Amazon package unless I paid for tape to seal it. They said it would be $1.50 ...after not wanting to pay it I stated that I would use my credit card, to which they gave me a hassle and said they had a $5 minimum purchase. I had to buy packaging tape that I did not want and when I bought it they had me use it to seal the package ...there were 3 rolls of tape sitting by the cash register and they couldn't use it.... It was disgraceful. Their tip to me was to go to the Publix next-door and purchase something and ask for cash back.... (I mean... it's tape). Not going back. Besides this instance the other times that I have gone, this location is not efficient and they take too much time to process a customers transactions. read more

Worst store ever! Not even 1 STAR!! Slow to help customers and extremely over priced! Wanted to print out an Email of 43 black & white pages. The paper they use was as thin as toilet paper & the price was $45. dollars. Yes $45 dollars for 43 pages!! Do not go here for any of your packing and shipping needs. The store does NOT know how to package items properly so that they don't break. My father attempted to ship a lamp to me and was told it would be packaged perfectly for shipment. He also paid about $250 for this service. Well take a look at the damage report letter that I uploaded. It arrived in pieces and two experts said it was 100% improper packaging and support. Incidentally, this lamp is the twin to another one that I packaged and shipped myself without any damage. It really wasn't that hard to do correctly. STAY AWAY. read more

We shipped a piece of furniture which had both personal & financial value to my family. Charges were over $500 for shipping & packing (insured shipment for $1000). It took an unusually long time to arrive. It was destroyed in shipping (it couldn't stand up). We filed a complaint with UPS under the insurance. When we complained directly to the store manager, Sonny, he told me he would take care of the claim with UPS according to UPS rules. Following his instructions, we took the furniture to a local antique furniture repair store for an estimate and submitted the estimate to the manager. Weeks went by without reimbursement. Eventually, the manager told us that UPS had rules which said to pay us "60%" of the" shipping" cost, but none of the packing cost (packing charges were about $200). The manager said that he had to "keep the lights and air conditioning on" in his store. He sent us a claim payment of about $625. Instead of cashing the checks he had sent us, we became suspicious and called UPS Store Corporate Customer Relations. Our suspicions were justified. Customer Relations told us that they had never heard of a rule that you only get 60% of shipping back, or that you do not get any of the packing charges back. Corporate Relations called the Manager directly. About a week later, about $300 more was sent to us from the manager, making a total of about $925. The manager never apologized. I further note that he never sent us any written documents from UPS about our claim. We used the insurance money to fix the piece of furniture. You should avoid this store. If you have shipped with them already, contact UPS Store Corporate Relations at 800 789-4623 to make sure that you are treated fairly. read more

The gentleman that works here... I want to say his name is Sammy... or Sandy... or Sunny... Well, whatever his name is, he's awesome! Friendly guy who seems to enjoy his job. He was able to cut up a box to fit my package almost perfectly. He was quick, and notified customers who came in the store that he was busy and that he'd be right with them. He did a wonderful job of packing flatware up in a box nice and secure and got me in and out fairly quick, all with a smile on his face. My one bit of advice would be; I wish he would have told me the packing charge before he went and did it. It ended up being 15 dollars, and I thought that was a little bit much. Wow. I hate to be one to put a bad review but the two times I have tried to drop off a package at this location were terrible. The first time, I had a packed box and I taped the return label on top of the box as normal. The woman working the front got angry at me and said she could not accept my package because the customers are not supposed to tape it themselves and that we are supposed to use her "specialty tape". So she then grumpily ripped my tape off and she retapped it with her own tape. So today I had another package to ship. I put everything in the box and waited to tape the label because I remembered from our first encounter... I go in, I bring the same lady my package and she said that she was going to have to charge me to tape a return label on my package... I'm now confused because she's contradicting what she told me from last time. I've gone to other UPS drop off locations and no one has ever tried to charge me for tape.... read more

So, I just dropped off a package that was already paid for. You would think this would be simple. I walked in, the place was a disaster. The man and woman who work there looked at me and kept fighting with each other. The woman told me "over here!" so I did as I was told. She asked me "where's the invoice"? I pointed to the side of the package. She said "no, I need to see it!" I said "Ok, so let's open it." She ripped it off the side of the package, looked at it, scanned the package, handed me a receipt and said "you're done!" Ok, so I hope my package is put back together after I was kicked out of the UPS Store for absolutely no apparent reason. But I certainly won't be coming back here, ever. As others have said before if I could give 0 stars I would. After a visit to family in Florida (I live in NJ) I had done a little too much shopping. I tried to decide between paying $50 for an extra suitcase for the flight home or shipping my products home. Having done a lot of shipping for business before I thought I knew what I was doing . I was waiting on line for quite some time until it was my turn. I was asked if I would like to pack myself or have them pack. I had already done most of the wrapping and packing but I needed a larger box. I asked what they charged for packing. I was told that it was included. I repeated this back to the clerk and it was verified. He took my things and after 20 minutes he came out to ask if he could bubble wrap a few pieces. I agreed. Another 25 minutes later he returned with 2 completely oversized boxes and a bill for $209.32 including $80 for packing! I told the clerk that he told me that he would not charge for packing. At this point the owner was standing at the counter as well. The clerk told me that he must have misunderstood my question. ????. After quite a bit of complaining the owner reduced the packing charge to $75! I had a flight to catch so I left furious! When I got home I looked up the shipping rates for my order with UPS. I was charged $129 for shipping alone, UPS's charges should have been $47. BUYER BEWARE! In hindsight there were 3 different customers complaining in the hour I spent there. There are plenty of other locations to ship from. I will be filing a complaint with the UPS corporate office . read more

We ordered our Christmas Cards through a UPS Store and because of the vendor who prints the cards error, the Christmas cards were sent to the wrong ups store. The vendor by mistake entered the wrong store number by 1 digit. Upon finding this out, we called the UPS Store and explained the situation and we sent them an overnight shipping label so we could get our Christmas cards out before Christmas. We spoke to Sunny that morning and he was more than happy to help us. When we followed up in the afternoon, a women named Carolina was not as pleasant. She said that because we did not pay their $5 receiving fee that she was going to refuse delivery and send it back to the vendor. We explained that we spoke to Sunny in the morning and already had paid for the overnight shipping so it could get to us, but Carolina did not care. She provided horrible customer service. We love UPS Stores near us but this one was terrible. read more
