I just walked into the ups store where normally I find very helpful persons behind the desk. Today Mihar was there and when I quickly asked to pick up sleeves to prepare my packages while in line, he rudely insisted that I wait in line to pick up the sleeve then go to the back and wait in line again to drop off the package. Trying to make it more efficient, I felt like this was lazy and a bad choice on Mihars part. I don't appreciate mindlessness and will try to avoid the store for poor customer service. read more

This is a nice store, with friendly staff. The wait times are short, and the store is well organised. Just be careful if you pay for a business mailbox. They do not give refunds - so if you pay for a longer term, and then need to cancel part of that time for some reason, they refuse to give any kind of refund whatsoever. I urge anyone getting their fingerprints done for work, school, or travel DO NOT GET THEM DONE HERE. I had to get a set done and had them rejected, the agency said they could not read a SINGLE PRINT. Please do not waste your time or $45 and get your prints. Best of luck.. read more

I started writing this rant yesterday, and I'm still gonna go ahead and post because I left the page up and it autosaved... and my experience just ... sucked. I go in yesterday morning at 9:02. One customer is filling something out, but he says he's been helped. So it's just me. The CSR in the back is packing a box and hollers to see if I need help. I'm holding two small boxes and some documents. "Yes, I need to ship something." - "Ok, start filling out the form in front of you there." "Do you do both USPS and UPS?" "Yes, but we charge different rates than the post office." "I'm not sure which one I want to use, and this is a UPS form." CSR walks over from the back and pulls one earbud out. I continue, "I am sending these documents UPS, but I think it might be cheaper to send these boxes through the post office." "Well you need to fill that out first." "Ok, I was hoping I could compare rates first because I don't have a ton of time." "Just use that so I can see where it's going." So, I fill out the packing slip for the boxes which I am sending for work from Work's address. "I can tell you right now that since that one box is going to Canada, it's going to cost at least $100 to ship through UPS," the CSR helpfully blurts at me. "For this?" (it's 10 oz.) - "Yeah anything to a foreign country is always $100 or more." ... At this point, I'm wondering if this employee is new or just - what's the word? "Ok, never mind on the boxes," I say, and I crumple the packing slip. "You don't have to throw that away! You could just use the next line." I just got scolded? "Oh, the packages are going to have a different sender address from the UPS envelope." "Well, ok." "Thanks, though," I say back. "How soon can I get this envelope to _______, CA?" I'm given three different prices and delivery times in quick succession. I don't bother having them repeated, as they would probably be recited just as quickly/unintelligibly. I pick the middle delivery which is quoted as $27, and confirm the price. I then hear a varied list of delivery and signature options, and I'm beginning to think maybe the CSR is quoting USPS services (and there's no way I'm using USPS for this particular envelope). "Who is this through, again?" "Through the post office- " "The post-?" I cut in. CSR backtracks and says, "I mean us." "So UPS." "Yes." "OK, just making sure. Thank you." "OK," the CSR begins again, "so you can add delivery confirmation with a signature for $5 extra." ...I've never been offered additional signature confirmation before through UPS, always just used the tracking confirmation. "Doesn't it have a tracking number that shows when it's been delivered?" "Yes." Stares blankly at me. I'm still about 20% worried that the CSR doesn't quite know what they are doing. "OK, I'll take the signature for $5, thanks." This saying "thank you" thing isn't getting me anywhere. Just then, another customer walks in, says, "Hi, this is ready," and the CSR leaves, takes her box, scans it, and takes payment for it at the other register. I thought my Twilight Zone UPS Store experience was almost over, but I'm just standing there with my wallet out. CSR comes back: "Ok, your total is $28." "Shouldn't it be $32? 27 for shipping + 5 for signature = 32?" "Yeah, it went down." I cannot begin to convey the unwelcome feeling I have had at this place from the moment I said I had to ship something. I swallow and get my payment card out. I have a feeling that I may be paying too much or buying the wrong thing, and I'm half-way ready to just screw the 20 minutes I've lost on this UPS Store trip and go later in the day to the UPS Store on Solano where the CSRs actually greet people face-to-face, explain/understand the services offered, and know what courtesy is. I ask, "May I have some sort of receipt that shows what I got?" "Yeah I'm printing it." I get it. It only has one thing on it, $28.25, with no notation of promised delivery times or anything. CSR leans over and writes N.D.A. on it. I ask, "Where's the $5 signature fee?" "It's not on there. And N.D.A. means you bought Next Day Air." I give up. "Ok, thank you," I say. Crickets.... The CSR has put the earbud back in and turned toward the back counter. I stand there a second, turn on my heels, and take a business card for this unfortunate franchise branch on my way out. Later at work, I'm thinking I have to steal some time to go out and try to send those boxes again. I call the Solano UPS Store, and ask about whether or not it's true that any size box costs at least $100 to send through UPS to Canada. After the chuckles, I'm told, "That's ridiculous. Who told you that?" That afternoon, I waited behind 12 people at the US Post Office and the "$100 minimum" box to Canada got an airmail sticker slapped on it for $4.90.... the other box was $2.60. And when I said "thank you," the very busy postal worker said, "you're welcome". read more

I used to use Fed Ex until I tried two local stores recently and both were so unbelievably rude that I went to the local UPS store, where I should have gone first. My shipment was complicated and they helped me right away and it was cheaper than Fed Ex would have been. The staff was so helpful! read more

I walked in the other day and was greeted with warm regaurds by two young ladies behind the counter, which in return made me very happy. How ever, that all went out the door swiftly when I saw two baby ROACHES doing a little dance all over a stack of packages that they had behind the counter. I HATE bugs!!! With a passion and that seriously disgusted me, beyond belife. Be careful every one! We all know that they like to hitch a not-so-friendly ride home. read more

I too was there a little before 9am on 9/19/17 and although the sign clearly states they open at 8:30am, the place was locked and dark. I waited in my car. Finally, around 9:15am someone with keys opened the place up. I went in to obtain my forwarded package, they could not find it! I went home got my tracking number and receipt from My Choice UPS, went back to the store and showed them. Now someone else says I would have to "open an account" with them to collect my forwarded package (for which I had already paid $5 to UPS My Choice). And that would be $15 for opening an account and $5 more for this package. I explained that many times in the past I have paid UPS My Choice $5 to forward a package to them and never had to pay The Store anything. They would only just say the same "you have to open an account" nonsense, refused to even look at my UPS My Choice receipt. These people are incompetent and/or crooks. I'd check prices before going. I was quoted $99 for UPS to East Coast Canada (no rush), and while the clerk commented that seems high/strange, wasn't exactly forthcoming in offering/investigating whether something was amiss or not until she realized I wasn't about to fork over $99. Ended up with a $40 usps priority mail. Despite having a computer at her disposal with a province code and postal code, she also seemed to have initially gotten the province wrong and entered a spelling mistake in my address. Although I reminded the clerk before doing the USPS charge about the photocopying I had just done (it wasn't exactly busy in there), she still forgot and I had to wait for her to finish dealing with another customer who had just come in to pay for my photocopies. So unless you're willing/knowledgeable about what to expect and to manage the till yourself, I'd go elsewhere. The only reason I chose to try this shop over FedEx is that I've had bad paperwork at local FedEx shops on East Bay (one wrong/missed checked box and you'll have collectors after you EVEN IF YOU'VE PAID AND HAVE A RECEIPT!!!). We'll have to see if this shop is any better though since I've already "paid" with some frustration up front. Bottom-line: check their work, don't expect them to get it right. read more

i was there yesterday morning Friday to print my photo and before i went there i had call this store and had asked them, i have a photo in my USB drive which has to be printed on passport size can u guys do that and the lady on the phone reply yes. so i went on morning after returning from my long night shift work, there was this guy with tattoos on his hand and i told him i am here to print a photo which i have in my usb drive then he pointed me towards the computer and as i didnt find the option to click on which would let me print passport size i asked him what to click then he tried here and there but couldnt find.we then thought of trying with the size which was available but the machine was not printing and when i asked him, he told me the machine was warming up. i waited almost 20 min but no it wasnt still printing and when i went see on the machine it was saying NO PAPER. he then adjusted the paper tray and i asked him lets print this photo on full paper size and take a picture from your camera of the full paper size photo so that u could print passport size on the small machine which can only be connected to his camera but still no the printer wasnt printing. he made me wait another 20 min and when he find out the printer was still saying no paper he call the manager who was laying around and when she came, instead of looking on my problem she went on taking other costumer which could have been handled by the guy and when i asked her as the costumer leave mam can u check whats the problem she told me one moment. and went on taking another costumer and then she finished making me wait another 15 min and do u know what she did ? she didnt even touch anything neither the computer nor the printer and told me there must be some problem with printer i need to call the service guy and the other tattoo guy was repeating yeah call the service guy . i just couldnt believe what i went through and there was nothing i could tell them other than thank you. why did they gave me wrong information in the first place and does one need 55 min to say the printer is not working ? read more
