Based on the reviews of good customer service I gave this location a call just to see if I can get any other help with the issue I'm having with UPS. The gentleman cut me off to immediately tell me his store couldn't help with my issue. As I understand that, I feel it would've been better to let me finish explaining and say "I'm sorry you're having this issue! Unfortunately due to us being a UPS store we cannot help with this" or something kind as I'm already frustrated with this company. Excellent service! After moving to Hawthorne two years ago, I had to find a new place to print and ship supplies for work. I went to several FedEx stores and received terrible service. After my first visit at the UPS Store in Gardena, I knew I'd found my place. The staff here is very friendly. This location is always busy and there is rarely no line. But the line moves quickly. I never spend more than 15 minutes here. John is always extremely helpful. I have to print a large stack of letters once or twice a month. He usually has my work ready or starts it as soon as I walk in. I really appreciate that. I highly recommend this location. read more

Busy every day but for a reason. Quite good customer service, which is surprising since UPS stores I've been to before aren't as careful and cordial. Everyone who works there is outstanding. Be careful what they quote you for shipping prices. I went here to ship something I sold from eBay. The guy told me the minimum cost to ship was $200.00. I told him that was ridiculous and can't be right. He insisted that was the price. I left and went to a mom & pop shipping place that is authorized for UPS and FedEx. That store told me I could just printing a shipping label through eBay. And eBay was going to charge me $32. And even with eBay's discount (they said it was 55% savings), the most this would have cost me was about $65 to ship. So why would UPS Store quote me $200? read more

Scam. If you are printing you'd be better off going to another location. They charge almost 3 dollars for them to print your document on top of charging you per page. I paid nearly $4 for 2 printed pages. Total RIP OFF!! The Carson one nearby just charges you per page like most printing places do, do with that information what you will. read more

On the occasional times, I have had to use their services, they are consistently efficient and friendly. UPS Stores are typically not cheap but, their time saving help and care for things like printing from email attachments (when the library is closed) is fine. I have only shipped a package here once and they were quick. I know USPS across the street is way cheaper and you would need to endure the long lines and not so courteous care across the street. Anyway, if you are in this neck of the woods, these guys are above and beyond other UPS stores. read more

We had an excellent experience today at this UPS Store on Normandy. It's in the corner shopping center at the intersection with RB Blvd, next to the 99 Cent Store. John (owner?) helped us and he was really great. I'm told that daebak means awesome in Korean. If you were to look it up in the dictionary, I'm certain that John's picture would be right there, next to the definition, as an example. We needed notary, copy and mailing services and he handled them all efficiently, quickly, correctly and was super pleasant as a person and as a businessman. We could not have asked for more. His fellow worker, Danny, I believe, was equally good in helping the other customers while we worked with John. Simply put, it was daebak. We highly recommend them to anyone in need of the services that they provide. read more

So I went to this store yesterday to return an Amazon purchase. I needed to print out the label so I forward the label to the store and the cashier prints it out from their computer. After he rings up the charges I notice not only am I charged for the printing fee but I also get charged for a "computer usage" fee I have never in all my life been in a UPS store that charged me for them to use the computer to print out a label. I called customer service and asked them if that was appropriate and it was explained that this is a franchise store so yes they can, but most store just don't. I think it speaks a lot about the owners finding ways to squeeze more money out of us and when gas is almost $7 they need to relax. I wonder if the cashier who actually did the work on the computer even gets the fee Im charged. I think it's petty and if I was an employee there I wouldn't even enforce it bc it's redundant. If I was to sit down at a o outer and print it myself it wouldn't even have taken a full hour and the fee would have been prorated. It's best to just go somewhere else where the owner is not greedy. read more

This is as good as a UPS store gets. The line can go out the door lately but most the time we get in and out quickly. You can tell they're well run because there's been no employee turnover for the 3 years I've been there. And I don't remember any packages lost. I can't believe I have not Yelp!ed this location before. These men are the real deal. John, Danny and Brandon are always polite, friendly, helpful - everything you DON'T get across the street at the post office. Patient, efficient - they truly wrap your stuff as if they expect to send/receive it themselves. I am in there at least twice a month and no matter how busy they are, how hot it is, how much construction is going on, etc. - they always smile and greet me by name. Came here this morning for a notary, because my last one at another location didn't match, since they added my middle name. Becsuse of that, it was ruled invalid. Came here to get the notary printed and I found out they do notaries here. Very quick, professional and a family oriented place. These people are thieves straight up. They acted like they would help me tape up my package that I had being shipped to Ontario, CA and it looks like it got a shipping label all the way for Kentucky?? What the freak is it even doing there? I shipped it out on November 5th and the person said it should get there in a day. One day, my ass. It is now November 14 and when i check my status, it claims you don't even have possession of my item? How!? I sent it right away! I could have gotten it there more quickly driving. I am so upset to think that someone stole the item instead of doing what they were supposed to and if I have to get the law involved, I will! To tamper with someone's mail is a federal offense and I don't have to tolerate thieves! I will start dealing with Fedex from now on because at least they don't steal from me! You are all pissing me off so badly now do the right freaking thing and return my product or I will be making this a legal matter of discussion!! Worse customer service I had experienced. The boy who help me had a attitude that he did not care about the customers, secondly I did not suppose to paid for the package that I ended paying for and he was not able to tell my why and suggested for me to come back another day ( like I have all the time to return again). Then he took his sweet time to packed the item. Somethings that could take 10 minutes it took me 35 minutes. I would not come back to this store and I would not recommend. Is it possible to give 0 stars? I was at Fed Ex across the parking lot. They unfortunately cannot ship to a PO Box but she recommended i try the ups store across the parking lot. I called and spoke to a young gentleman, asked if i could ship to a PO Box using them. He said Yes. I asked "can you hold the door for me for 1 min, I just have to drive across from Fed Ex. He said "Uuuuh sure!" I said "You're awesome!" Walked out of fed ex, tosses my papers in the passengers side and drove less than a football field away. Got out. Door was locked. The guy came and opened the door, let me in, but when I said "I just called." He said "uh you didn't talk to me." I never wanted to yell so bad in all of my life. I explained to both of them that i understand wanting to go home, but they could have just said no on the phone. Neither of them had any apologies or attempts to even blame it on a misunderstanding. I got on yelp and contacted the UPS store and was told that print photos and can have it ready for me within minutes. I must say they was right. I despise UPS the shipper, but we won't let that hinder this review... I only came here for notary services, so I can't speak about any of the other services that they offer. So there were a few local places that I could have gone to, but this one was street-convenient, parking-convenient, and location-convenient. For some odd reason everywhere else that I had considered going to would be either SUPER busy (i.e. AAA), or else they are in some crazily tiny shopping center where you can't park or will be up against some sort of hassle. Price was also a consideration, not that I couldn't afford 10 bucks versus 30 bucks, but what would be the purpose of paying more, especially if it was annoying or inconvenient? Of course parking is not much of an issue in this Gardena OG plaza. When I arrived there was only one person in line in front of me, and the employees seemed to handle their business pretty quickly. In no time I was next up, and was greeted in a very friendly manner. The notary guy quickly came to assist when I asked and showed my document. He looked at it, didn't make any big issue about anything, signed it and had me sign it, and I was on my way. 10 bucks...what a score. I already told two other people who will be coming here shortly for the same thing, I definitely recommend this place for any notarizing needs. Oh yeah, rewind to ten minutes prior when I called to see what time(s) they had notarizing services available...very friendly on the phone and not acting like they were being bothered. Turns out they were able to do this for me any time up until closing at 7pm....GREAT!!!!! read more

This place usually has been a good place, but my experience today was very bad. There was only one person in the store and asked me to return later because they are busy and cannot spend time finding my package that arrived in the morning and has not been checked in. I got email message from UPS that my package was READY for pick up, so I went there to pick up my package. The person was very rude and I am really not happy. My time is valuable and they should not be just asking me to return later because they just don't want to spend time searching for my package. read more

My family has been using this UPS store for probably 10 years or more... For everything from PO Box's, to your regular shipping needs, their notary service, and probably anything else they have to offer really. Everyone who works there is always very happy to greet you, courteous, and attentive to exactly what it is that you need. The place can get a little busy because it's small but they're always working fast to get you in and out. I was just here the other day to overnight a some paperwork to Oakland, and was reminded that I've never given them their do. Whether it's over the phone or in person you're always going to get great customer service... Often when they're busy I've noticed rather than provide a tracking number on the spot they may ask for your email address with the promise that they'll send it to you shortly... And never, not once have I NOT got the email, so rest assured they take care of your goods. read more
