I was in the area and wanted to avoid an extra trip to the post office. Tried to mail a small package to Florida and they were going to charge me $14 USPS. I asked if UPS was cheaper and was told no. The clerk was very short with me and just shrugged when I challenged the price. I turned around and made the extra trip to the post office. They charged me $5.50 for the same package. Beware! Employee tips himself a hefty fee for taping a box! I had a few items (less than 2 lbs) in a bag, asked to place in box for delivery from Houston to Louisiana. He initially quoted me $10 for box. The shipping was $14.36, $10 for miscellaneous, another $8.95 for miscellaneous. I asked about the miscellaneous charges. He replied $8.95 for box and $10 for my tip to place in box. Wow, almost $20 for a box???? Since there was a long line forming and I didn't want to cause a scene, I paid and left. This particular UPS store is ridiculous. On numerous occasions I was told not to box my stuff inside and had to go outside, they charge for tape so better bring your own even for the tiniest sliver, typically rude and overcharge. The few times they made me box my stuff outside it was pouring rain or below 40 degrees outside... they claim it disturbs people in the store blah blah but no customers were in the store at the time or it was one person which I asked if it was a problem and they said no. I called ups HQ to complain and I was told that was a stand alone ups that is a franchise basically... aka the owner can do whatever they want. Parking to get to this location which is in a busy strip center is Awful! The store is stuffy and cramped glad I was only in for a short time. The staff was quick in locating my AT&T account getting my equipment scanned for return and provide me a return equipment slip for confirmation which was great. Pretty sure I don't have reason to return but if I return I hope the parking is better availability and I can get in get serviced and get out in the same timely manner. read more

It's a good UPS store. The staff seems to change frequently but the service is pretty efficient and consistent. I think the $1 for running a piece of tape across the top of a free return box to places like Amazon, Macy's, etc is really pricey so it irritates me every time I can't find the tape at home when I need it. But it's a convenient location to my home so I keep going here. I like that they have my info and frequent send to addresses already in their database as it makes the stop more efficient. read more

I'd love to give this place 5 stars, because the workers who have helped me here are so friendly! The man even gives out free pens to customers! Unfortunately, they committed the cardinal sin of shipping: I brought in two items to pack and ship to different locations, with the shipping addresses taped to the tops to avoid confusion...and they were swapped and sent to the wrong locations. Not cool. I should have snuck into the back and watched them pack everything with my own eyes! Plus, UPS Stores charge for their packing services, but they won't let you pack items yourself inside the store, either...maybe next time I will buy a box, go back out to my car to pack the items myself, and then bring it back in to mail. I normally use Fedex but this time I decided to ship with UPS because it was closer to my job. I shipped a small box package, 2lbs 9in by 2in by 6in. The man behind the counter asked me how would I liked it shipped, I said just the cheapest is fine. He asked if the package was time sensitive and I said no. He then said "Okay the cheapest way to ship will be $29.49 3 day select, it should get to the destination July 29th, shipping is really expensive now days with covid" .. Hesitant but needing my package to be shipped I paid for the shipping. I go back to work and search the shipping prices, realize he lied, that the cheapest shipping was ground at $14.28 so I go back to UPS with my receipt asking them to change my package to ground. Worker said it might've already been picked up by the UPS truck because they come in the morning and I dropped off my package at 11:33am, he checked in the back then told me I'm sorry they must've already taken it on the truck. What the UPS worker behind the counter didn't know is that, I work next door. He lied, I saw when the UPS truck came and when it left. It was no longer outside when I walked over to drop off my package so there's no way the UPS truck took my package already. So over all experience was not good, will not be coming back. I didn't think this price was fair, so when I went to do it myself, he passed the tape measure and told me to figure out what box I needed--and then pointed to a sign that said the boxes must be assembled outside the store. If I could give less than half a star, I would. I've been in this store countless time and each time had an issue. I went in on March 6, 2020 to mail an item I already packaged. The girl asked me the contents, which I provided, and paid for my package. The item never left this store. I'm 100% sure the girl opened my package and stole the contents out of the box and kept them. When I called the store, the owner/operator was rude and hung up on me, refusing to assist me. Today I went to this store to ship a package. I brought my own box. Shipping came to 11 and some change and I thought that was expensive. So I inquired about an 8x6x6 box. I asked the lady at the desk and she was new, third day on the job, so she couldn't answer me. So she asked her manager and he couldn't be bothered and just blew it off and said "I don't know". To which I explained that where I work "I don't know" is not an acceptable answer to anything. I asked him how he doesn't know how much it costs to ship a box in a store who's entire business is shipping boxes. This infuriated this man. He proceeded to tell me how he had professors who would tell him they didn't know... blah blah blah. He was so aggressive and agitated. I thought it might come to fisticuffs for real. I don't recommend going here and I'll never walk in the store again. I had a large box with a prepaid UPS label on it. It was an item I bought from a large company that I was returning. I lugged the box into the store and they refused to take it because they said the weight on the label was wrong. The girl said the ups driver wouldn't pick it up. That was totally false. After lugging the box back home I called the company to get a different label. They said they have an account with ups and they always put 1lb on the return label then ups bills them. I took the box to a different ups store and they had no problem taking it. They said that UPS bills for any difference in the weight and it wasn't an issue. read more

I went in earlier this week to ship a package to one of my sons at college and the gentleman that helped me was very friendly and helped me get the best shipping options. 3 days later I went back with the exact same package material (for the other son....literally everything the same) and the guy tries to charge me double for the packaging. When I challenged him, all he could say was prices fluctuate....seriously, in 3 days, on packing material, and double the price....don't think so. I finally got him to honor the earlier price, then when we're picking the shipping options he want me to pay 3x the amount for freight. I asked him to look up the previous order and he got irritated with me and said again, prices always change. I persisted and he finally got me to to right shipping rate....meanwhile the line was building and people were getting frustrated. Personally feel he was just trying to rip customers off and is not interested in helping. Wont risk going back to this store. Beware if you do. Seriously, if you can ship or receive literally anywhere else, do it. The staff is consistently rude and unhelpful, but beyond that, plain dishonest. I had a package shipped to this store, which is a UPS access point, meaning I'm supposed to be able to pick it up for free because the company I ordered from pays the store. They told me my box was missing a sticker, and therefore made me pay to get my package. When I called the shipper, they told me that the UPS store was supposed to enter a code on the label. Went back in, pointed out the code, and the manager refused to enter it and said they were still using the sticker system. He wouldn't speak to the shipper, so I had to work it out with UPS who helped me resolve it. This is just one example of how utterly useless and rude the employees there are. They charge $1 per strip of tape to package things, and hide the tape behind other packing supplies so you can't see that a whole roll is available for purchase instead. Do yourself a favor and use FedEx or USPS if you can because this store is the absolute worst. read more

Hmmmmm....well, all I can say, or all I have to say, is that one employee was unfriendly, unresponsive, and uninterested. Had I needed to do an assessment on her consciousness utilizing the Glasgow Coma Scale, she would have been given the score of 3 .... Which out of 15 is the absolute lowest one could possibly receive for no motor response, no verbal response, and no eye opening. I wish I could remember her name, but that's neither here nor there. She stated that she had to charge me $1 to tape my package, which I've not had to do ever at USPS or FedEx! So, after patiently watching her put some enthusiasm (none was observed) into her not quite so good tape job, I had to ask her to do it again as the tape barely brought the open edges of the package together (you could literally see through the tape to reveal what was inside the box). By far this was the worst customer service experience at any business. I walked into this UPS store to return a Amazon item that was shipped to me by accident. I had my own label, my own box and my own tape gun from my business. Waited in line for about 10 minutes which was a problem but when I reached the counter the sales associated yelled at me for bringing in my own items, saying YOU CANNOT tape or package anything in my store, YOU MUST GO OUTSIDE ON THE SIDEWALK to tape that box. I was in shock at first and though the UPS associate was joking but with profanity was used after I laughed I knew then he was serious. So being that I drove 27 minutes to get to this location I went outside on the sidewalk in the hot sun as instructed. Returned back inside the building moments later, waited in line again but only 4 minutes this time Got to the counter and the same associate looked at me with anger saying that I forgot to put the barcode strip that was at the bottom of my printed label in the box. I opened the box at the counter in front of the associated and was yelled at again but this time I was called a dumbass for not following directions because he told me more than once that NO BOXES can be opened or taped inside the store. I grabbed all my belongings and left the store in sadness knowing that I was not going to let this person steal my joy. They'll charge you for that. If they so much as touch your box or close it for you, they will charge you for that too (call it a packaging fee - even though they didnt actually pack anything). This is a great story. I came in and asked for a estimate on targo top I needed sent. I was estimated at $45 to ship and they asked if I wanted them to box it too. I said OK but just put cardboard around the corners and just shrink wrap it. I was estimated on labor of $45 and about $15 in packaging. So at an "estimatd" $105, I said that works. So I come in the next day to pick it up and pay what is owed. First off, the box was so big and wrapped with packing peanuts and everything else, it was like I had eggs in there. So the man gives me my total of $360!!!! I said,"what happened to my $105 estimate??" It was a estimate sir. So your telling me, you were off $255 in a estimate. The item was only $160! I said forget that and just charge me for parts and labor. OK that will be $160! $160 for a box and packing peanuts???? I told them to keep the damn item but he went in the back and took it all apart and gave me my item back. I went to a store near my house, and to wrap it and ship was $80. VERONICA OKAFOR IS RUDE! I came in today to return an ATT modem and battery. When I handed it to her, she partically threw the modem on the scale. I asked since she scanned the barcode on the modem, to please scan the barcode on the battery as well because I want to make sure I have proof of the items I returned. With an attitude Veronica said, "On the receipt I put YES for accessories being returned." So I let those two things go. Then she asked me to sign on the keypad. The keypad stated something along the lines of, please sign below to authorize the charges. So I asked Veronica, "Am I going to be charge for returning the equipment since ATT stated they pay for all charges when equipment is being returned." She rudely replied, "Well, DOES IT SAY YOU WILL GET CHARGE ON THE KEYPAD?" Because of Veronica, I will never ever go back to that store location again. NEVER!
