Due to this plaza also housing a Bank of America and Mitsuwa and a lot of other restaurants, it is very difficult to get parking next to this particular UPS store itself. Sometimes when I come to this location I need to lug the boxes more than one row of cars over due to the lack of parking directly next to it or have someone drive me here and drop me off while I carry the box over. This place is very by-the-book. They told me to drop an insanely bulky 70lb prepaid package on the scale (I was carrying it by hand since I only have a 50lb capacity handtruck) and by doing so I knocked a bunch of other boxes off the counter. (I work in the shipping department, so I think putting it on a scale on a table is counter-intuitive.) After that occurred, I said to them that I asked for confirmation first so it was their fault. I wanted a receipt for this order but they didn't offer one to me, however, I did observe them scanning three out of four boxes of this shipment. The packages arrived at the destination location with no issues, so at least they gave it to the driver without any problems. If you check in you get 5% off UPS shipping. Not that it matters to me since I'm just the guy that drops the boxes off. read more

I have had my mailbox here for a little over a month now. The owners are extremely nice. All the employees speak as soon as you walk in the door. Brought in something to be packages & shipped, employee took the bag that I had everything in & took it to the back, comes out & says my coworker is finding a box for it, a male comes out & gives the quote for just the packaging, gives us a quote to ship as well, we say we'll just buy the box, he goes gets the box & all the stuff that was in my bag drops one of the items, looses some of its pieces says "its ok", "is it ok?" My daughter says its missing some letters, & asked for the bag back as well, he comes back with the bag & no other pieces, I express my frustrations with him, he rings us up & we walk out, no apologies of any sort. I was trying to send an iPhone back to my insurance company with the ups store. I handed my package to the kid that was there. He had trainee on his badge and he took it and started talking to the next customer. I wanted a receipt that they took it so there would be no problems in the future; so no one could claim I never sent it if the package happens to get lost or stolen. They had given me one every time I dropped something off at ups, even previously at this store. however when I asked the older lady there for a receipt she was short with me and refused to give me one saying they don't do it. Maybe she was having a bad day and cranky but it just seemed super shady to me. I don't trust them. read more

This is the only UPS Store I go to since it's convenient location wise and they are not typically busy. However, I turn on my extra patience switch before I walk in. The employees here do their basic job (if that, sometimes) and do not prioritize niceties at all. Multiple times I have walked in, no simple "hi, how are you?" or greeting at all sometimes. There have been occasions when I bring a package to be shipped out and needs to be taped shut, and the employee does not tape it nicely closed. This may not be important to many but if I'm shipping something costly then I'd like to know it'll be fully closed. Other than their non charming employees, this location provides everything typical UPS Stores provide. They provide Live Scab service at a $75 charge. Two stars since there has been one worker that I've encountered who was polite. read more

I had a great experience working with Rose and her associates in mailing a very important item. I did have to pay extra to ensure that the package would arrive safely to its destination. But Rose went above and beyond to make sure the item was well protected and would be handled with care. She ended up adding three layers of padding and even cut the standard box down to a size that would fit the item so there wasn't all this empty space. I really appreciate their patience and dedication to providing the best service to their customers. read more

Avoid this place like the plague! The staff is rude and abrasive, and the notary public, Rose, is rude and incompetent. I came in to get a document notarized, they had me pay for it first, and then instructed me to wait for the notary while she helped other customers. When she finally got to me she told me that I was standing in "wrong area" and that she had to notarize me at a different portion of their merchandise-cluttered countertop. When I got to the "proper" part of the counter she took one look at my document and said "we don't do copy birth certificate". I tried to show her the document stating that the copy would be acceptable with a declaration, but she would not even look at it and said "we don't do that here". I tried to explain that perhaps she wasn't understanding me that I had explicit instructions to have the copy notarized, and that I could take it to any notary to do so, but again she cut me off and said "I understand perfectly we don't do birth or death certificate here". At that point I realized it was hopeless and I asked for a refund which they reluctantly delivered and I left. The worst part is, I drove down culver for a few minutes, brought the document to a notary at a different store and they had the document notarized in just a few minutes with no waiting in line. I asked if the birth certificate copy was an issue, and they said not at all, a notary just needs a supplemental document, which they had on site and provided at no extra charge. Perhaps if you visit this store your experience will be better than mine, but then again it could be worse. Why risk it. My advice is take your business elsewhere to a more cheerful and competent establishment that takes pride in delivering quality service to their customers. read more

Will NEVER go back to this location! I will drive out if my way and pay more to use anyone else! I went to this location by my house with a prepaid package. The line was out the door and the owner/manager offered to take the prepaid packages from everyone so we wouldn't have to wait. I gave him my package along with a couple other people and he took them to the counter. I usually wait for a receipt but I needed to pickup my son from school; so I left. A week later I went to track my package and it was not in the system. I then returned to this location on walnut and culver to resolve the matter. The older middle eastern man who took my package the week before was there. I told him what had happened and he was extremely rude. Basically told me I was lying and that I never dropped my package off. According to him everything is scanned every time so there's no way I brought it. He then gave me a UPS corporate phone number and said it wasn't his issue and walked away. Without a record that the package was dropped off there isn't much the corporate office can do. I now have to pay $65 for a dress I don't have. Avoid this location at all costs! read more

This store was a complete turn off from the get go. Located in the heritage plaza where its already jammed packed full of people & cars, the location for dropping off anything is miserable. Unable to find parking on my first attempt around noon, I left & came back a couple hours later w/ a driver so I could get out & drop off my package. Yeah, the parking was that bad. Once I was in the store, everything felt tight due to all the displays of things they are advertising/selling. The counters was full of items as well, so it looked cluttered. The employee looked more like a customer in a t-shirt & shorts while helping another customer fill out something. There were a handful of other people in the small store & I just wanted out. I attempted to hand my item to the employee but he pointed his head down toward where I should place my item. No words were used, just his head pointing to what or where I should place my item. I asked if this location is where I should put it, he nodded. That's it. No words, no confirmation, no nothing. I felt uncomfortable dropping it off like that but I did so, hesitantly. I'm unsure if I would say I would never go back again but it is highly unlikely. I would have to be desperate. read more

I will never go here again. The owner is very rude and very cheap. I used the computer to print out an excel worksheet that happened to be misaligned so yes, it was originally my fault, and I accidentally printed out 30 copies of it. I told him I had to edit it and reprint, and he refused to credit me and still charged me for all of the copies. Then he instructed me on how to print sheet 2 from the excel sheet and it still printed out wrong - charged me for that page too. After i removed my usb, he claimed i broke his computer because it came up with an error window. Really guy?! To use the computer for less than five minutes and print 30 (60 really) copies, i was charged $18. Thats absurd. I would have been better off going to Jenny Craig and asked the receptionist to print it out or something. Would never recommend this UPS. read more

Two stars mainly because of an experience with the owner or manager who was not too friendly and told me to buy a new printer because his scanner could not scan my printed label. You can tell me in a nicer way to get new toner (who buys a new printer when their timer runs out??). In addition, the printout looked fine and I've printed over 10 not bar codes that have worked fine at another UPS location subsequently as well as coupons, tickets, etc that have barcodes successfully scanned. Furthermore another employee there asked him a question while I was in the store and he did not seem to treat her well either and she seemed scared of him. read more

Went here this morning to get a document notarized. The document was complete with the exception of my account number. I wanted to add the number after the document was signed for security reasons. The man refused to notarized the document unless I put in my acct number! I pointed out that I had filled in the bank name and checked the checking box but that I didn't want him to see my acct number and he insisted I fill it out. I'm not a notary... But isn't he just verifying my signature? I left and went down to the Postal Annex on culver and Irvine Center. Much better experience and my document was notarized without question!!! read more

Pretty much what is advertised for independent UPS Stores. Compared to others that I have visited, they seem to know what they are doing. I assume they have been there for good amount of time, therefore giving them ample time run there operation as most UPS Stores. Staff could be a little more friendly, but overall not bad. I do all my ebay drop offs here, so it may just be more suitable for me and for my likings. In the end they know what they are doing, and can get you in and out quickly. read more

I almost fell off my chair laughing after reading the reviews here about their notary We came in with a simple timeshare transfer doc and the same guy (Mayur) told us that the doc needed a header so he can't notarize it because it's not legal! He argued with us because he just really didn't know what to do. What a waste of time. I can overlook rude but not incompetence. Anyway, we called a mobil notary who notarized our doc within minutes and provided the acknowledgement for out-of-state docs. Don't waste ur time with this place. They deserve the low Yelp rating. I had a product that needed to be returned because it was not needed. I was never told nor is it printed on their receipt that returns can only be given store credit. I explained to the owner that I do not live in this area and a store credit would do me no good. He didn't care, just pointed to a small sign, covered by other merchandise, that states no refunds. In this day an age I do not understand how a credit refund can not be done in the computer. Sounds to me like they just don't care about customer. The worst customer service ever! I went in to mail a parcel to England. I thought UPS was a better option than the USPS. For a small box, less than 4lbs, it cost $98! Several days later I tried to track the parcel through UPS - this is when I found out they didn't send it UPS they sent it through the post office?! If I had known that I would have sent it USPS myself and saved half the cost. I went back to UPS and the manager was horrible. I have no doubt that he knew he was ripping me off. He offered no explanation or compensation. I wasn't asking for a full refund I simply wanted a refund for the difference between what he charged and what the USPS would've charged. To make matters worse my package is now sitting in a post office in the UK because fee's are due. I was assured that the shipping costs I paid would be enough to avoid the receiving party paying anything. Seriously, this was the worst customer experience I've ever had. read more

I have to say that this UPS store is one of the best ones I've been to. I had to get stuff notarized and they were really awesome. Due to the fact that my stuff was complicated, it took around an hour, and they were really patient while they were working on everything and trying to speed up the process to get me in and out as fast as they could. This place didn't even deserve a star, went in and asked the price for printing service, the staff was rude and looked all confused. I put in my credit card and it charged me for almost 5 dollars for using the computer. I didn't print anything out because they didn't have any other size of paper besides 8×11.
