The owner of this particular franchise is the worst! We rented a box there for 3 yrs and heard nothing but complaints about how "heavy" our packages were. Yes, we ordered heavy items - BUT this is their job! We were always within the limited allowed by UPS but her constant whining and the attitude she gave us was intolerable. If you live anywhere near the hospital, I highly recommended White Dog Ship and Print. They rent mailboxes and are so much nicer than this UPS store owner. We went it with 20 gifts that had to be packaged along with shipping labels printed for each - with about 30 minutes before closing. They could have been sassy and mean - but they were the opposite / everyone was AMAZING !! They all helped get the boxes out on a Friday afternoon. I am amazed by the incredible courtesy, kindness, competence, and remarkable good humor all the hard-working people at this UPS Store branch constantly display . . . despite always being insanely overworked and overburdened by daily long lines of demanding customers. Every single time (YES! I mean it . . . every time!) I have come into this store, the owner and the employees (all of them) have smiled at and with me, been patient with me, helped me, and done an incredible job with my shipments. I only have the highest praise for each and every one of these lovely persons who, despite an incredibly stressful job, still manage to present themselves with truly remarkable professionalism, efficiency and warmth to their customers. The driver fir Thursday feb 27 2026. Should be fired. I had a package to be delivered to my address but the incompetent driver dropped of my package at another house not even on my street. This is nit only incompetence but neglect of duties. If one of my friends didn't see the package, i would be fighting a lost claim just because this driver li incompetent to deliver packages. UPS please correct this and discipline the driver or there will be more packages delivered to the wrong address . read more

Terrible customer service. When I was in retail the motto was "customer before task". Not here. The Asian women's who works there is all too happy to watch the line grow out the door while she takes up boxes and other tasks that could easily wait until after customers were served. I have never been to a UPS store but this one had the worst person in the front. All I wanted to do was drop off a prepaid package. No greeting just "Other side counter!" I had no idea what she meant. I tried to ask her if I can drop my package off there, I didn't even finish my question, just yelled at me "other side counter!" I finally understood that she meant I could drop it off on the counter located on the left of the store. But wow, really?! Not a "how can I help you?" Never want to see that lady again. read more

I patiently waited until I thought she was finished counting boxes. Then, she started counting another batch to where I decided to leave. Extremely rude. It was a bad enough that there was only one employee servicing a line of customers that reached the far side of the store, but to make it even more unbelievably horrible, the woman behind the counter charged me $2 for a couple pieces of clear tape to seal a box! Only made worse by how smug and unapologetic she was about it. Like she enjoyed the complete power play of sticking it to me. This UPS Store is the WORST! Toxic environment. Bad customer service. They treat all customers like we're from the poorly. I was a customer for 3 years. They offered a "special" if I renewed early, I would get 3 extra months. Sounds like cash-flow trouble. o, I renewed with that promise. When it came time to renew again, they totally reneged on the offer. After closing my box, they refused to forward my first-class mail causing prescriptions, brokerage statements, and Christmas cards all to be returned. I complained to Customer Service and they told me that each store is independently owned and operated. They were of no help. Whoever is running this place should be fired and the whole staff too! read more

First of all I have to say the staff at this UPS store were very friendly and helpful!! That said, I could not recommend this store for shipping items. I got an online UPS quote for shipping and right away the staff warned me that their owner/manager sets his own pricing. The price quoted was DOUBLE the online quote! I had 5 large boxes and probably saved around $1000. by taking them to UPS customer service at the airport I know this is a franchise but what an incredible rip off. Glad I had the time to check out other options. read more

We ended up buying so many things in Kona that we couldn't close our suitcases. UPS Store to the rescue! They had various sizes of shipping boxes and tape, so we had an easy time packing our stuff and shipping it. We visited just as the UPS truck arrived to pick up, and the store had a TON of stuff to ship - this location is quite busy, especially since the other location by the airport closed. There were three staff on hand: a friendly young man, the woman who manages the place, and the woman's puppy. Everything seemed fine to me; I can only guess that the bad reviews of the manager must be from people unaccustomed to Hawaii's no-nonsense aunties. Yes, everything comes at a price (even tape) because everything has to be imported. That's not her fault, it's just a fact of life. I have no problem recommending this place; we had great service. read more

I stated my experience earlier on yelp and then received a reply on Yelp saying that they were looking into the matter and to email them so they could follow up with me. Well.... 1) I emailed ....and included my phone number.... and no one has followed up via email or phone. 2) Now "miraculously" my package is lost and did not arrive to its destination I would recommend going to USPS until this UPS operates with integrity and professionalism. read more

The workers in this store are horrible and know nothing about customer service. They routinely ignore customers in line; rather than helping those waiting in line, they pretend to be busy moving, labeling, stacking, rearranging boxes. I stopped by recently to drop off a small box with a pre-paid label ... I didn't even want a receipt. The door was locked with a sign indicating they were 'temporarily' closed and were only letting customers with paid mailboxes. Me, along with several other people were ignored and not acknowledged. It's like they feel they can treat customers anyway they like since they have a 'monopoly' on UPS services in the area. If corporate is reading this, maybe consider adding a self-service drop box or two in the Kona area. read more

Went to this UPS store today at 1:45pm - business hours. Sign on the door says, "Closed from 1:30 - 2:30pm." AWESOME. During the 3 minutes that we were there, the woman inside of the store watched at least 5 people come to the door and try to get in. She could not have cared less. If you are running a business, then be professional about it. We count on the hours posted on the website. Just bc you feel like taking a break doesn't mean that you should. read more
