I always have a great experience in this store, I never have to wait and they are always quick and extremely helpful. Recently I went in with a package I couldn't lift out of the car that wasn't taped or labeled. Before I could ask, Dylan offered to get it for me, walked out to the parking lot with a dolly and got the large, heavy box for me. He insisted on taping it up for me, gave me a receipt and had me on my way quickly. Dylan really went above and beyond to help me, I was really impressed with his service! read more

I have found this particular UPS store to charge outrageous prices for shipping. What many don't realize is that these are franchises and they have the right to set their own rates above and beyond the basic rates that would be charged by UPS if you were to pay online. I understand that there is an added convenience of having someone there to help and answer questions. In fact I don't mind paying a small premium for that service. However, the two times that I shipped something from this store the prices seemed much, much higher than what I am accustomed to at other franchise locations. I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't have a chance to bother looking for other options (there is that convenience factor). That being said, I will do my best to plan better to avoid using this establishment at all costs. They have every right to charge what they want for their services, I just don't agree that they are fair/reasonable for the service provided. I won't be back, and I certainly would not recommend anyone going there either. read more

I sent in three times a package to McAllen TX via ground and the service and cost were excellent, but in my last time the young lady (I don't remember her name) was rude and give me a very high cost for ground service and tell me that they don't received International package with UPS account number. I went to UPS customer service for sent my packages and the cost down was a 1/3 vs a price that lady give me. The store is very clean but I'll send my future packages via Fedex. read more

I desperately needed an item shipped so I got there about 20 minutes after they closed, (I rushed after work) anyways I freaked out when I found out that they close at four, and as I walked back to my car, this mighty cute guy with glasses and shaggy hair opened the door to help me out; disregarding the fact that they were closed. I went in early this morning to ship boxes for Christmas. One box was a very nice, sturdy plain box except for a couple of lines I had carefully blacked out with permanent marker. The clerk said he couldn't use this box because wine had come in it. Well, yes, but nothing indicated that unless one could read through the magic marker, and the shipping label could easily cover that. It was the nicest box of the four. Nope, $12 charge. The smallest box cost over $12 for ground shipping (content value: $8). Total bill: nearly $120! I was polite, but clearly annoyed about the box charge. The clerk was polite, but clearly all about upselling. The big guy in the UPS shirt standing there doing nothing but scowling was intimidating. Will I ever return? Definately NO! read more

These people are rude jerks! I've had two of my relatives go into this store to try shipping stuff and both of them were treated with utter disrespect from the blinking idiots behind the counter. First, a few years back, my cousin from out of town went there to ship some stuff back home and they looked at her like she was trash. Yes, she has a few tattoos & piercings, but other than that, she is a decent person. Who cares what the customer looks like, as long as their money is green, right? Apparently these people care. I guess if you aren't a California yuppie, you are treated with contempt. They were absolutely horrible to her! I wasn't there, but she relayed what they did and how they treated her and it wasn't friendly. She left the store without having her stuff shipped. Then, this past week, my dad went in there and needed to ship a rifle that needed to be repaired and they looked at my dad like he was a serial killer. He thought, since it's a UPS store and it was originally shipped by UPS that they would send it back by UPS to the company. He was given that rifle as a gift and the handle was broken on it, so he needed it repaired. They refused to ship it and were highly judgmental & downright hostile about it! We don't care if they have an anti-firearms stance, or for safety reasons don't ship stuff like that, but they didn't have to be b*ttholes about it. The one, measly experience I had with them is this: My mother asked me to mail a gold chain to a jeweler in Austin. I didn't go to the post office, because it was too crowded, so I went to this UPS store, because I thought it would be more convenient. No big deal, right? Wrong! I paid to have it mailed to the Austin jeweler and they never got it. Finally, a few weeks later, the jeweler contacted my mom and told her that he got a notice in the mail that there was something at the post office that didn't have enough postage on it. It was my mom's gold chain. This stupid UPS store didn't put enough postage on the package I paid almost $5 for, therefore, it sat at the post office until the actual jeweler had to go pick it up. He charged my mom extra for having to go pick it up in Lakeway. I don't know where the owners of this UPS store are from, but they need to train their employees in some manners & common courtesy. If the owners are the ones treating customers like sh*t, then they need to rethink being in the customer service business. I will never use this store again and will actually drive in mind-boggling, hideous traffic just to avoid having these people look down on me, or make a mistake in postage. I've seen outlaw bikers with more manners than these people, that's for sure! read more

I've had tremendous experiences here with two different staff members, who were kind, patient, helpful and understanding. That was my first 4 experiences. But there's also some unusual behavior that goes on here. Last time I was in, one of the ladies behind the desk was in the back saying pretty loud and critical things about the residents of Lakeway, and talking about she would like to do to their packages. Then I dealt with her co worker, who participated in the discussion with her, as they came from the back. I was polite, but had lots of questions. As I looked down to check the packing slip, I looked back up and caught the man making faces at me to his co worker. It was just a bit juvenile and bizarre. read more

This was my first visit to this store as ATT instructed me to return my equipment at any UPS Store, & I live in Lakeway. I was not aware of the negative reviews already in place. I will never go there again after the way the woman associate treated me. She was clearly very angry that I had equipment to return & was so blatantly annoyed about it that I was literally taken aback. She scanned each piece of equipment & practically threw it in a box, I was worried that she would damage them & that I'd be responsible for them arriving damaged to ATT, but I didn't dare say a word. Something didn't work with the scanning so she had to do it twice & it made her very angry, as she threw the equipment around even more. I didn't know what to do. I even looked at my watch to check, did I happen to get here two minutes before closing or something? No, a half hour until closing time. I didn't really understand why I was treated that way, there is no excuse for it. Absolutely unacceptable on every level. read more
