However today the older male associate was so focused on attending to another patron -- which was being obviously helped by another employee- that he was dry and unattentive to myself or another customer. Hands down: this is the best customer service you will experience from a mailbox store!!! The staff is wonderfully helpful, consistent and knowledgeable. They provide a perfect example of "old school" customer service -- before people had their faces constantly down in iPhones. I was at the Ups store 6293 in Lanham and received an error message while sending my amazon labels to the store for my returns. Anthony was able to fix my problem. He was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly patient. I had a lot of returns and he made everything go smoothly and was happy to help. Poor customer service. No greeting. I will admit I was disappointed because I had signed form to be notarized prior to coming to store. I understood. No caring attitude was displayed. When finished another mail delivery he held out receipt without a thank you or have a good day. I decided to go to another UPS store (Mitchellville Plaza) and received excellent service. read more

I usually don't take the time but I have been so impressed with this store I feel obligated to share my experience. I have a box here and have all my packages delivered here as well. I have had almost daily contact here for about six months. All of the staff always go way beyond the call of duty to make sure I and everyone else I've witnessed are taken care of quickly and most importantly they are pleasant. Every staff member here has a wonderful positive attitude which is so refreshing and welcomed. Thanks for providing a wonderful relationship. I had to ship cookies to someone in Afghanistan as part of the Cookie Takeover 2014 Mission #3 and used four of the Post Office's large flat rate shipping boxes. Thought I would end up spending over $100 to ship these boxes. This incredible man, I believe he was the owner, told me that it would be cheaper for me to have all of the boxes taped together and shipped as one. They save me money, and they didn't have to do that. I will definitely go back there next week and take some of my decorated sugar cookies as a token of my appreciation for INCREDIBLE customer service! Thank you again!!!!! read more

I had to pay to ship my textbooks back. This was supposed to be free and I had a return label in my hand when I walked in. Yet I had to pay. I won't be back. Terrible company with awful policies that make no sense whatsoever. read more

UPS stores are individually owned and operated. Unfortunately, this corporation has let the wrong person franchise one of their businesses! The owner was rude, arrogant, and unapologetic for the lack of service I received at his store. I spent 15 minutes on the phone with him about the service I received from another employee and he constantly talked over me, assumed no responsibilty for the incident and never once apologized. I called ahead to confirm they had a notary on site, they did. I needed a notary for documents for a Maryland home equity a loan which was time sensitive. So I stopped by after work. I arrived there and they refused to notarize the papers! They seemed to not understand the laws in Maryland with regards to home equity loans. So I had my bank on the phone with the UPS notary explaining to the UPS notary that he was incorrect about the law in Maryland. The UPS notary incorrectly believed a lawyer needed to be present in Maryland to notarize my forms. It was a nightmare. Even though my bank representative was on the phone with the notary explaining to the UPS notary he was wrong about the law, the representative still would NOT notarize my forms. So I had to race around the beltway in the rain during rush hour and find another notary. Needless to say, the UPS notary was INCORRECT about the Maryland law. I finally found another notary, the other notary is still in business (the UPS notary at said anyone who notarized these forms without a lawyer based on Maryland law would no longer be a notary) and my home equity loan closed just fine (the notary also said my loan would not close). Maybe this UPS store should look up the Maryland law so this doesn't happen to anyone else. It could cost someone one else a lot of stress and money. read more

Apparently Google maps takes you to a very remote residential house instead of the store- a Google glitch for sure, but when I was lost, confused, late and called there, a man acted like I was just annoying and snapped at me to find my own way. I called back later to find out that they knew about this glitch and UPS doesn't note it on their site, or contact Google, or at the very least, let you know what the story is when you call instead of acting like it is your fault and you are annoying them by being lost. read more

The manager (Scott) of this establishment was asked to provide the customer with a standard of operating procedure after charging a ten dollar fee for holding a package sent from another UPS Store for less than twenty-four hours. The customer was unaware of this policy and asked for written documentation or signage that clearly explained this policy which the owner failed to do. Manager (Scott) was very rude to the customer stating that the policy information would be provided on the receipt after payment. The customer then reviewed the receipt which did not describe the policy regarding the ten dollar fee. The receipt only showed a ten dollar fee to the customer. Manager (Scott) stated that because this is a franchise "we can do what we want". Customer then stated that even as a franchise there should be a written set of information of guidelines/prices displayed in order to inform the customer of company rules. read more
