I love this location and I've been coming here for years. However, the last few times, specifically, the last 2 times, there have been issues with the manager- blond female. A couple weeks ago, she was in a heated discussion with a customer. The customer didn't understand the QR code process. I understand customer service can be challenging. But her tone was excessive. Today, I went in with my QR code which specifically says "no box, no label, and she told me I needed to seal the box next time. I used the box strictly to transport it and I assumed they would drop everything in a bag as they usually do. When I told her the directions said no box she said well we have to box it. Ok? I feel like UPS needs to get with Amazon if that is an expectation. Please improve. read more

Plenty of parking. Three registers open to assist customers. The woman who assisted me was in training. She was very apologetic and continued to ask for help, and her fellow team members were by her side, helping her every step of the way. She kindly reminded me to hang onto my receipt. The only hiccup was, she kept asking me for an order number and the company I was returning for did not provide one and then the team member advised her it wasn't needed. Team work!! Awful experience. Asked for a manager to call me asap as I had an important issue. Never called me, so I called there. I had some very important documents that needed to be on time shipped certified. He tells me due to the government shut down that things are slow. However, after further research, I found on UPS website that NOTHING is affected as they are their own entity and do not depend on the federal government, which I personally will go show that manager that said that to me. The employee who took care of me at the time was nice enough but clearly had no clue as he said he has never done this before. I was charged 36 bucks for something that didn't get there and that I cant even track. They better not lose this very important document and payment that was for my brother who passed away stone arrangement. I am disgusted, and not even a sorry for your brothers passing. Great customer service. I have had it with the USPS and vowed never to send packages that way again. The other options? UPS or FedEx. We used to always use UPS so I decided to go back to them and we are familiar with the location of this store. We've always had good customer service here and had the same experience today. I had four packages to mail out and decided to purchase a book of stamps too. I'm not sure where I got the idea that they were so much more expensive them the Postal Service because they weren't. I would say about the same and I have a lot more confidence that the package will get there in the time frame that they stated it would. Of course during these times of Covid and winter,anything can happen but Matthew assured me they would do their best to get the packages off and that UPS has been doing a really great service and really beefed up their delivery since Covid. I have to say in terms of my personal experiences of receiving packages here at the house, Amazon prime, UPS, and Fed ex have all been outstanding. I have zero complaints. Anyway-should you go to this UPS Store Location, look for Matthew because he's very efficient and has a great affinity for telling corny jokes. They list the last names of all the packages that need to be picked up in plain sight of everybody. Then they neglect to match the first name or the address so if you come in and say, I am "Miller" they will just hand over the packages to you. They did this to us with a new laptop and have pictures of the thief but won't do much to help. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!! read more

The location in Leander is always horrible. Can't figure out how to scan a preprinted label, can't figure out how to print a prepaid label. Took my returns to another store and they were able to do both without issue. Update: apparently this franchisee can't read. I didn't ask for anything free (look up what "prepaid" means) nor did I ask for anything to be done that should not have been under their control. What I DID ask for was for labels to be scanned, which they were not able to do multiple times. When that did not prove possible for them they suggested that I pay for a prepaid return myself. My assumption is so they can get paid twice for one package. If you need your UPS package or label scanned, I would suggest taking it to the location in Cedar Park or elsewhere. I took mine to the cedar park location on Bell and they were able to figure out how to use a scanner. read more

The delivery is horrible. They just leave packages at the wrong address and when returned to the store they behave as if it's not their problem that it's delivered to the wrong person. Absolutely bad customer service by them. Today they delivered someone's package to my address and this is not the first time it happened atleast 3-4 times in the past 1year and upon returning the package to the store they said a pickup will come to take it back and it's been a year since the last time they said and not one showed up. Luckily I got a contact from the label for vendor and they let the actual person know that it will be refunded or replaced. read more

I went into this local UPS store to drop off a package. I thought their rates online were decent for the size of the box that was being sent. Knowing how things have gone in the past with both UPS, USPS, and FedEx, I was hesitant to ship it in just the box it came in. I wrapped the entire box with bubble wrap and tape that shut. When I went to drop off the package I was told they would not except it that way. I was told I would need to remove it. I responded if I removed it, that they would just break it. I asked if I tape the entire box would they take it? I was told yes. So I took the box back home taped the entire thing. I really wasn't looking to do a bunch of extra work in order to ship this item, but I've had way too many things damaged by shippers and way too many of them not paying for the damages. My recommendation is open up the box you're shipping put in bubble wrap or shredded paper around the item and if you can afford it put it in another box otherwise wrap the entire thing with bubble wrap and then wrap all the bubbles in tape. This helps disperse the impact and keep the bubbles intact so that you don't lose the cushioning effect read more

I will NEVER ship anything via UPS again! Especially this location! On 25 April 2018 my husband went to this location to ship my laptop in for repairs. I had packaged it in the original box it came in with two layers of bubble wrap. The employee he spoke with told him the UPS policy for laptops is that they would have to repackage it. So trusting that they would do a good job he paid and left leaving USP to repackage it. Then he got home and gave me the receipt. For a whopping $173.21! Wait, WHAT? So I called this location to find out exactly what our $173.21 bought. The employee that answered the phone told me that the UPS policy for shipping electronics was to place my already packaged box into a ginormous 24"x24"x16" box with additional bubble wrap. I told him absolutely not and I would be back to pick it up and go somewhere else. So here's the breakdown of the cost. 1) one 24"x24"x16" box (see pic) $18.98 (yes, you read correctly. $18.98 for ONE plain, thin cardboard box!) 2) one small bundle of clearly previously used bubble wrap $13.85 (We could have bought a $50' roll at walmart for $15) 3) shipping charge $18.52 4) $2000 worth of insurance $119.15 So we went to the FedEx on Whitestone to mail it. The employee at FedEx was just as incredulous as we were about the exorbitant price. We chose to exchange/repackage my box with a laptop box that FedEx sells. It comes with a nice thick foam padding (see pic) Here's the FedEx cost breakdown 1) one laptop box $15 2) $2000 worth of insurance plus shipping cost $45 for a grand total of Wait for it! $60 TOTAL!!! UPS you are ripping off your customers. I suppose I should thank you tho cuz we went out to eat and filled up my car on the money we saved by NOT using you. FedEx ALL THE WAY!! read more

Giving 1 star is more than they deserve! Very unprofessional, do not use this location! On March 9th I made the MISTAKE of trusting this UPS store to package lose items and ship them for me. I was unsure of the correct box to use and the young man helping me insured me that he would box them and send them through USPS because I was shipping to a PO Box. I should have gone to the Post Office once I realized my error but this UPS store said they were capable of helping. I left this store at 2:35pm and the employee took the items to the back to package. Two weeks pass and my items still didn't make it to the recipient. I put in the tracking information and see that a tracking label was created on March 9th at 8:34pm, over two hours after the store closed. On March 23rd I finally get in touch with the GM of this location , Carleton and asked him to pull camera footage of me handing my things to an employee, him packing it, and the box leaving the store. On April 5th, I still hadn't heard from the GM so I call him back. He tells me the items left his store at noon on March 10th. The issue I am now having is this man never called me to tell me that he checked the video, I had to call him to find out the status. This is poor customer service. He continues to tell me he can't help me and that the error is USPS. He asked what I wanted him to do about the problem and I ask for my $36.01 that I paid that location for a box and shipping to be returned to me. He told me he can't do that because that money goes to USPS. I have contacted USPS and they say they never received a package from UPS. UPS says they did and it's out of their control. No one cares to help me with my lost items or at a minimum refund me the money I spent. I will not fault USPS for the error made by UPS. There should be a better system in place by this UPS store to ensure that items are being scanned appropriately when they leave this store. If they are unable to do this then they should stop offering a third party service through USPS and advise customers to go to the post office. For all I know my lose items were never packaged and were taken by an employee. He did make several comments about how he liked the items I had purchased for my friend. I went to this location on 12/24 to drop off my Directv equipment to get shipped back. I was told that the system they use was down. I waited and called back today 12/31 and was told the same thing and also that it was on ATT/Directv's end not theirs. I called the Cedar Park store and they said they have not had any issues that the process was done at the register. I brought in the equipment and returned with no issues. I don't think the Leander location wants to deal with these drop offs. read more
