I use this UPS store several times a week and find the staff professional, friendly and very efficient. I rarely write review, but I need to commend this UPS Store since service has continually improved during the last five years. Service by all personnel is simply outstanding. They always greet customers when they first enter store, and they are available to give you good advice on packing or shipping. Yesterday, Madhu helped me with three pieces of mail...she was friendly, helpful on alternative, knowledgeable and provided excellent service while the store was packed with customers, there was a continuous line of customers. Really rude woman who works there aside from her rude demeanor and unhelpful nature, she also was wearing her mask hanging off her ear and was shouting profanity and then threw her mask on the counter and did not ware it at all. She began to talk loudly and help customers with out a mask. This store had several customers inside while this when going on. They've had great customer service every time I come in. I do a lot of Amazon returns, they're always friendly, quick, and have those plastic sleeves for me to put my labels in. I also recently had to send a laptop to southern CA they made it so easy. They packed it for me and gave me the insurance options. I always feel like they are in such a hurry to get rid of you. One lady is nice though. So I guess my problem is the customer service. They were supposed to close at 5 today and I quickly printed out packing slips and labels for 6 textbooks and packed everything up. I just had to drop them off so I thought me getting there at 4:57 would be fine. I could've been out by 4:57, or 4:58 at the latest if we we were exchanging pleasantries (ha). Major Rant! UPS Store in N. Vasco shopping center is ridiculous!!! I went in to mail something to the United Kingdom and told them I hadn't shipped to another country in forever... The old man proceeded to be one of the most rude individuals I've ever dealt with. He talked to me like I was stupid. He asked me what I was mailing... Then asked me if I filled out a "customs" slip, which I "no... I didn't know I needed one... Is that something I get from you?" He said, "well, yeah once I give you one to fill out..." (Super sassy sounding). I was like okay... Then I asked a question that was on the custom slip... It wanted to know the weight. So I asked him, can I get the weight of this from you? He said, "yeah once I weigh it..." Again in a super snotty tone... So I waited for the weight which was 2 oz. (light as a feather mind you). So he gave me my total which was $22, but then forgot to add in the little tiny envelope I needed to ship it in and my new total became $27.50!!!! I was like holy cow shipping to the UK isn't cheap is it? He looked at me and said, "well would you expect it to be?" Which I said, well no, but wasn't prepared for $27 for a 2oz. Package! Also I asked if there was a tracking number... And he replies and says, "well if you wanted a tracking number you should have said you wanted one... And it will cost you a lot more to track it you know... " Dang!!! Did I just not tell you I wasn't familiar with International Shipping?? Shouldn't have he kindly asked me if I wanted tracking and give me an option with prices?! Ugh!!! He laughed and rolled his eyes! I couldn't wait to get out of there... Did you know they up-charge for Stamps??? I didn't know that was legal?? He charged me $5.50 for a small padded envelope... Is that the going rate? Are they just super over-charging? I know they are individually owned, but really? Talk about taking advantage... Hey if you're going to charge an arm and a leg at least have good customer service!! I think that old man who helped me needs to retire... Seems to hate what he does and loves to make people feel stupid... WOW! Avoid this location. Not impressed at all. They charge almost double, yes double, what the post office charges for a priority envelope. And the woman working there today - rude, argumentative and was dressed in sweats and a dingy, too big t-shirt. Really, you wear that to WORK? Just until recently, I've never needed to send packages through UPS, so I'm pretty new to it and really unfamiliar to how the whole process works. I came here to drop off a prepaid package. A woman was standing in the shop and I smiled and said, "Hello! I need to drop off a prepaid package." Without saying a word, the woman just pointed to the scale. I placed my package on the scale and she walked away LOL. I asked for a receipt because I was worried the person the package was going to might claim it was never sent. The woman acted like I was asking for her first born, she huffed, came back and printed out a receipt for me. Far from friendly indeed, but at least my package made it to its destination. The employees always go above and beyond to make sure all my needs are met. I have never had a package that arrived late or damaged. Also, any printing or copying jobs I have are always done right. Didn't scan the package and seemed very flustered not knowing what to do. The worst customer service I have ever had. All I needed was to drop off the package and use some tape to affix a label I had printed out for an Amazon return. The lady handed me a sticker to put the label under and said fold it or buy some tape in the most rude tone you can imagine. My box was not closed so I asked to borrow some tape to close it please? she said leave it. While this happened she never once said greeted me or acknowledged that I was a human being and not a robot, continued to do something else the whole time. This place needs to fire the entire staff. The job is not that complicated, and if you do not like dealing with customers then find another job. Try another UPS store if at all possible. Only reason why I gave it one star was because you are required to, but really they deserve no stars. read more

There's lots of low reviews here - the only services I've used, is to drop off a pre-paid UPS letter. This store has excellent and friendly service. Another UPS Store in Livermore gave me a hard time when I didn't seal up the envelope, and forced me to affix the shipping label sleeve myself to the envelope, which is actually a tricky task. This store always happily does both of that for me without asking and without criticism. This store also gives away free candy. I forgot to take a piece today, though. read more

I've been going to this store for as long as I can remember because it is just down the street, so it's convenient. I've had them pack a lot of items to ship, and every package they've taken care of for me has arrived intact. I have also used other services they provide, and they are always very helpful. It may cost more for them to professionally package certain items that I send, for me, but after one does the math in money and time-finding packing materials, the correct or appropriate box, schlepping all this crap around, etc, to me it's a no brainer to have them do it and properly. I will continue to go to this branch. If you take the time to do so, and get to conversing with the owners, they are actually pretty funny! read more

Brought my laptop in to have it packed and shipped. Shipping and packing charges were prepaid. During the weighing process the lid on the laptop was scratched. The lid was in perfect condition before being weighed. The clerk refused to accept responsibility for the damage. Then another employee came around to put in her two cents. Checked with Toshiba and you can't buy a new lid cover. All I wanted was to share the cost of a skin for it. Shared cost would have been $15. Not too much to ask. Their customer service...well there isn't any. Called UPS and they stated they are an independent contractor. Too bad they don't offer training in customer service when they use the UPS name. I will not use this location any more and do not recommend their services either. read more

I have been to this store a few times but a long time ago. I thought to myself why I don't go to this location and today I got an answer. I had a package sent to this location because packages have been stolen of my porch, so I signed up for My Choice UPS. I added my brother to the account so he could pick up my package. He went to the location and the ladies were SUPER rude to him and did not give him the package even when he showed his ID with the same adress as the package. Okay so I went to the store. I entered the location and first of all the lady did not say anything. NO Hello,Hi, how are you doing today, nothing! I told her I come to pick up a package and the lady said Whats your name. I told her my name and I showed her my ID. She did not ask for the tracking number nothing. Bottom line the ladies there are NOT Friendly and NOT nice. I have been coming to the location for years and have found the owners to be helpful and friendly. They are a small business and I like the them and the service very much,. Yes, they are an older couple but what does that matter? I don't think leaving reviews for how old people are or how they dress is a good way to rate a business. You should think more before you write such a review and hurt a persons lively hood. They dress casual but it's a UPS store so it's appropriate. Their prices are same as other UPS stores and they are not trying to rip you off. All postal services have gone up so don't blame these poor people.
