I've reviewed this place before, but I'm writing another one, because I haven't seen any improvements in the past few years. The lady who works there is EXTREMELY grumpy and rude every single time I go there which means it's not a matter of her having a bad day. I've been going here for years, because it's walking distance to where I live, but she always has an attitude, rolls her eyes, frowns and literally go out of her way to make any interaction with any customer as unpleasant as possible. I've been to her store when it's busy, when it's crowded, in the morning, in the afternoon, and the only constant is her negative attitude. You might say she may just not like me, but she treats everyone just as horribly as she treats me. I wouldn't be exaggerating when I say that in many years of dealing with many types of businesses and customer service people, I've never had an interaction as negative as I do with this person. She behaves as if she's absolutely hates her life. I hope management sees this and address this issue, as it's obvious based on other reviews that a lot of people are having similar experiences! read more

This store is HORRIBLE and has no concept of customer service!! I came in to return two boxes to Amazon and hadn't taped the boxes. They wanted $4 for about 8" off tape. Absolutely insane!! I left on principle alone and will do my best NEVER to give this location my business again! read more

This UPS store wouldn't be so bad if Michelle wasn't working there. This bitch was so rude to all the customers you could tell that she hates her life. We walked in at around 3 o'clock to have a label printed and she demanded that we walked up To one of her coworkers that was obviously closing a register and busy so that he could help us. She was condescending, rude, nasty, and snarky towards anyone that came in the door. Her blunt attitude made everyone uncomfortable and you could tell that her coworkers didn't appreciate her at all. She even made a comment about there being a long line by saying "This is what happens when you decide to wait too long" almost as if it was everyone's fault that she was being slow. If I could give this location 0 stars I would. I had an issue with a package I sent and when I called to inquire the staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. I had another experience today regarding a package was shipped to me was not delivered and when I called the store in inquire again the staff was not able to help me what so ever. It's a shame that an employee can be the sole reason for a customer, like myself, to go out of her way to leave a disappointing review. Today, Employee named Melissa, had the worst attitude. She literally huffed at me!! Evidently I was not prepared or expecting my amazon return to need to be packaged. My bad. I am not a frequent returner of merchandise, however, my past amazon returns at ups store... the employees have always been friendly and polite. I've been able to just drop my item(s) off along with its correlating bar code. No problem. Done. Not today!!! Melissa made this experience horrible and in end sent me a way, with attitude, saying I needed to pay for packaging and printing of label or she wouldn't process return. I accept that this was a different type of return process than I've previously had... I'm ok with needing to package & label my own returns prior to dropping off....however, it was Melissa's poor attitude and Demeanor that had me smh. Terrible employee manors. Extremely disappointing. I would not recommend that you use this store for anything other than dropping off amazon returns. I have had nothing but bad experiences with the staff there, especially the owner (Elroy). They are rude and show zero customer attention. I recently paid them to package and ship a very expensive sterio amplifier. The owner himself packaged the unit and assured me that it would be taken care of properly. I paid his expensive packaging fee and bought the extra insurance. When the package arrived at the destination it had broken parts and was obviously damaged during shipment. I had to send them a certified letter threatening litigation to get any kind of response from them. I was finally able to inspect the unit today. There is obvious damage (a foot had been sheered off, and the very expensive amplifier was scratched where the foot broke loose). I swear UPS stores everywhere are in perpetual competition with one another to see who can treat its customers the worst. Luckily for this one, it was not the worst I have experienced because I think the woman who was helping us did not necessarily mean to be rude, she just was. I don't even know what to say about that. Like...she's just naturally rude, and she has no idea. I felt insulted afterwards but also kind of understood that maybe no one ever taught her customer service. DO NOT GO THERE! Worst experience ever, anywhere. Michelle behind the counter was the rudest and most miserable person I have met in any retail establishment in my entire life!. She obviously is not happy at what she is doing. From the start of the notary transaction, she started belittling both my wife and I because we weren't "paying attention"..she cut us off several times as we were discussing privately some salient points between ourselves, and worst off when I finally couldn't take it anymore and told her how rude she was, she couldn't care less. Clearly not happy that someone was calling her out, she theatrically ripped up my $40 in shreds (I don't want your money she said). Crazy but true. Well. I got the same attitude when I came in (a few times). I can let go of that. Sometimes I need to go there because the USPS is closed. Once I sent my babysitter to mail something also on her way home. She texts me "that lady is mean!" My kids won't go in with me when I go (and they're not wild). Bigger issue is that things that I've mailed from there have been a huge problem. A coin my son sold on eBay? Took two weeks to get there. I mailed a paper sized box and 2 envelopes to my daughter in college over a month ago. Box came back to me-the return address-3 weeks later. We still haven't found the 2 envelopes. I called the store and because it was shipped USPS, there was no tracking. They weren't too sorry. I won't go here again. Crooks. read more

Someone needs to print out these reviews and show them. They need to be advised about there attitude. They WANT to retire and cannot, I believe... That is the sad part. Each time I have been there for Notary services and UPS drop off, I have been insulted from the old lady co-owner's rudeness. she has a terrible "Front desk" personality. She needs to stay away from the customers and work strictly in the back room or in accounting. The other older woman Notary is MUCH nicer. However, the short or abrupt and rude work culture created by the co-owner old lady will rub off on their employees. It seems to me, the employees are aware the general bad attitude and work to compensate for it. The location is convenient but may not be enough to draw in the clientele they need to work through a shaky economy. If she became the "Soup Natzie" there may be an side show attraction. read more

This used to be a wonderful store, but I was there on Friday and treated extremely rudely by a stout woman of maybe 50 or 60 years old with short brown hair. I was there to mail items after the death of a close relative, and the last thing I needed was a snippy woman who literally rolled her eyes at me and made one sharp comment after the other. I tried to call the manager to discuss, because I'm sure that no manager would want this kind of interaction with the public. I routinely have packages dropped off here to avoid the porch pirates from stealing my stuff. I also use them to return prepaid UPS packages with no problems. Pickups go smoothly and the staff are very professional. read more

Like many reviewers, I had a terrible experience with a notary (older woman). Same person referred to in past posts I'm assuming. She was terrible and rude, making snarky comments throughout my time there. Totally unhelpful. If I didnt need the document notarized, I seriously wouldve gone someplace else (and also given her a piece of my mind). I have never had such a bad experience with a notary before- I've gotten documents notarized at least 30 times. I'm a fairly patient person, but I dont stand for abuse. So here we are. Sad because I live on this road and now I'll have to go further out if I need something. read more

But if you're nice to them, get on their good side, they open right up. I think the snarl is just defensiveness. Horrible customer service. Lazy staff does not want to accept a package that was left on my doorstep by ups. All they should have done was marked return to sender. They claim they are not a regular ups location so they don't have to accept it. I called ups from the store and said they should accept it since the package is still sealed. I will be filling a complaint with corporate against this location. Rose was the rude lady I had to deal with. While I was there she upset another customer by charging $1 to tape a box and .50 to use a credit card. I should have read the reviews before coming here. Never again!!!! read more

I frequent this UPS location for my Amazon.com returns. I am always greeted with smile and enjoy speaking to the older woman that is always there. I also enjoy the classical music in the background. What prompted me to write this review was the fact that today I received an envelope in the mail from them and inside was an invoice that I accidentally left at their store (after returning an item via UPS). This woman was kind enough to put this in the mail...which saved me time of running back down to the store. Thank you! read more

She was brow-beating my wife and I over where we should and shouldn't sign a complicated legal form and talking down to us for not knowing the proper notary sequence of events. I usually only write good reviews. This particular UPS Store on Los Gatos Blvd is a disaster. I mailed a return package included was a pair of $210 gloves. Instead of their staff putting the correct return label on the box that I provided they mailed the box back to me. Here is the worst part when the plastic envelope arrived which I actually provided them with a box. There is a missing glove. I am now out of $210.00 the worst part is. This store takes zero responsibility. I am in the process of trying to find out whom the owner is. Omg this is mail people which is extremely important to handle mail in an organized manner. This error is egregious. I received a reply from this store telling me that they are not taking any responsibility. When I brought the box I asked their staff to tape the label in front of me they would not do it at the moment I brought the box. Therefore that leaves room for errors. The people working at this location could care less about the $210 I am now out of due to their error. I am sorry but $210.00 is still a substantial amount for me to loose .This store could care less. I will never return to this location. The North Santa Cruz location is wonderful . I am not done with this matter. I am in disbelief how I have been treated. The staff is so rude the two women that handled my box when I asked them they just looked at me with no reply. I know staffing these days are very challenging therefore I feel for the owner . However do not have people that are so rude & reckless. In an email I requested the owners contact information. To date I still have not received any information regarding whom is in charge if of this location. Please be careful if you go to this location. Actually if you can pls go to a different location. I will never go to this location again. If there is a manager/owner I would like to hear from you . This location does not think mail is a serious matter. What a wonderful experience! So there I was, carting a box of Grandma Gen's old tea cup/saucer sets into the store in my shoe box. When I told them what I had and showed them to Michelle, her motherly instincts took over and took tender loving care of them to make sure they arrived back in Chicago safely and in one (or complete) piece(s).
