Do not use this location for pack-and-ship services for fragile items. The owner tells you that you can leave the item and she will take care of packing it correctly. Don't trust her. Twice now fragile items have arrived broken. When I looked inside the boxes in which they were shipped, there was barely any packing material, and there was a lot of empty space in the packages for fragile items to bounce around. To top it off, she didn't even write fragile on the outside of the boxes before shipping. It seems she can get away with this because she'll just direct you to FedEx to get a refund, which is of no use for things that are personal and priceless. She's not liable, even if she packages items shoddily. So if you're going to use this place (which I recommend you don't!), tell her you will wait while she packs up your items so that you can make sure she packages then properly. Or better yet, go elsewhere. Both times she didn't even apologize. read more

They are slow. It may be a cultural difference in their approach to business. I like the daughter that works there. She is nice. I assume the man is her father. He is tactless. Parking is not good there. When you park near the liquor store it is hard to leave, plus, you cannot cross traffic to go in the other direction. read more

So disappointed again. I keep trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but they are just not good at their job - Receiving packages and disbursing packages. They have misplaced packages and later found them. I've waited for checks that where Fedexed. I know they where received but told nothing was there. I've had to return two and three times, until they find the package. Most recently my sons Christmas gift was received and signed for by owner on Thursday and after stopping by three times (BTW: difficult to find parking in town during the holidays and summers) he found packages with no explanation or apology. I'm done. I will be moving to a new postal service in January. He doesn't have great prices. Doesn't have skilled professional service. He doesn't have a convenient location. He doesn't have good hours. read more

This was the most painfully slow experience ever. Does it really take 30 minutes to overnight a package?Really??

I went there and they were so nice, they helped me with my package, they shipped it with a very reasonable price. It was all great!!!!

This is my favorite way to ship. They are nice, pack it well, give all the options so I can see what is best for my shipment. I have never had more than one person in line and love that I can always find parking. read more

They do not charge you extra for opening your email inorder to print files.

Terrible customer service. Wants to charge for packing tape. Mean people too go somewhere else

RIPOFF!!! GO ELSEWHERE!!! They charged an astronomical rate to ship an item overnight ($75-) and then sent it 3-day (cost would have been $20 or less). When called for an explanation they denied any culpability and said that's what they charge with their "mark up". When asked why the package was not delivered as promised the manager stated he did not want to waste anytime on the issue and hung up. GO ELESEWHERE!!!!! read more

I feel bad writing this because the people were nice. I just don't want anyone to go through what I did. My cousin is in afghan, he has been there for his fourth time and has been there through all the holidays and his birthday is tomorrow. Got him a lot of goodies and had them wrapped in three gift wrapped boxes. Went in and got them boxed up. They weighed them and told me it was going to be $129 to ship, then they said it could have to do with the dimensions of the box. So I took everything out of the wrapped gifts and stuffed them in one small shipping box. I even took some of the goodies out to make it weigh less. Totally bummed I had to do that because I really wanted him to open the gifts. Then they weigh it again and it came out to $118. I just didn't feel right about it and text my aunt and she said there is no way it should be that much. The people that worked there were not getting it is being shipped to a APO (army postal service) which is a domestic shipping. I ended up just paying for them boxing up everything and left. Then went to the USPS and it was $36.50 to ship it along with a tracking number. Postal Mate Plus told me they could not give me a tracking number. At that time I called the Postal Mate Plus and told the lady they should look into APO addresses. I am so happy I went with my gut. I will never use anything but the USPS. read more

Employees aren't trained properly on how to handle a process server serving a PO box.

We have had a box here for 4 years. They are always friendly and prompt. Also they are supporting us in our expat in Europe, forwarding all our mails and packages. Great service. read more

NO,NO,NO,NO - Do not use these people!!! They ship US postal service even if you pay for FEDEX or UPS. Last fall I sent my sister a birthday present that arrived 3 weeks late. I had sent it fedex 2 day. I thought it was just a fluke, but a couple weeks ago I sent a package with warm sweaters and scarves to my niece while she was vacationing in a ski resort. I sent it Fedex to be there in 3 days. First, I was upset when they said they had sent it UPS, as I had paid a little more for FEDEX cause I like them better, but I got the tracking number to see where it was. We checked the number and it was never scanned by UPS. Then the package arrived 13 days after my niece had gone back to college and it had been sent United States Postal Service. Luckily I had called the tiny local post office to be on the lookout as I thought it was weird that UPS didn't scan it and luckily the postal worker called and told me it had arrived at the post office. The owners of Postal Mate refuse to admit they did that. I'm sure it's hard to make a living, but it's unconscionable to lie. I'm so disappointed in them. They are just awful people. read more

I am always amazed how a business can function (especially in Los Gatos) when their "customer service is so horrid! If one is even coming to a Postal Service business it is clear what they need, and it seems obvious that this so called establishment would have those needs. First of all, I came in to mail 3 things. One certified, one needing postage, and the final in need of a box.. The owner seemed put out when I asked him where his variety of boxes were. He was in a back room, and god forbid I need help. I needed a very small box to mail a baby gift. Not only did they not have anything CLOSE to the size I needed, when I asked him, he said, "take the bigger size, that is all we have".. Of course, I had no choice, but I was also charged for the larger size box and of course postage. Seems to me if you don't have what the customer needs, you make those accomodations! This business is dirty, unorganized and clearly struggling. I promise you I will NOT be back again, and will take my business across town.. Sad. read more
