For the…read morepast seven years, Ink Spot has printed many meaningful items for my family -- from my wedding invitations to my children's birth announcements and birthday party invitations -- in addition to larger orders I've placed through the department where I work. Unfortunately, today that relationship ended over a $1.61 charge for envelopes. After being misquoted for a set of double-sided birthday party invitations and requesting matching envelopes, I received 14 invitations but only 7 envelopes. When I emailed to share that the envelope count seemed short, I was told not to worry and that additional envelopes would be set aside for me. When I returned to the store to pick them up, I was asked to pay $1.61 for the envelopes. I explained that I hadn't brought money because I didn't expect to need to pay for something that appeared to be part of correcting the order. The situation was reviewed, but the interaction was handled with a less-than-helpful attitude. Ultimately, I chose to walk away rather than continue the conversation over $1.61 -- because to me, it represented something larger. Over the years I have referred friends, family, and colleagues to Ink Spot, and I've valued supporting a local business. Situations like this are rarely about the dollar amount; they're about customer care and recognizing when a miscommunication has occurred. With that in mind, I'll be taking my business to HiTec moving forward, and I've shared my experience with those I've previously recommended. Mailbox HQ was the original company that provided our mailbox and installation…read more Well ten plus years later a visitor to a neighbor's home struck the mailbox while reversing breaking the bracket from the post and damaging the box. After the operator of the vehicle fled the scene the St. Louis County police were kind enough to track them down and procure their insurance information. Then mailbox headquarters met with us on a Sunday morning to plan the repair and reinstallation of the needed components Additionally, they provided a loaner box and post until the repairs could be made within a few days A few days later, all the parts were in, and the highly skilled technician was dispatched to reinstall and reattach all the damaged items. A true testament to the quality of the materials, and the workmanship provided was the post did not need to be replaced as it was still firmly installed in the ground and undamaged from being struck by an automobile. We would highly recommend mailbox headquarters to anyone considering installing or replacing your mailbox. The options are nearly endless. The quality of materials are amazing, but most importantly, the people from sales to installation, to service or absolutely amazing!
