I stopped by this place tonight to drop off a pre-labeled package. The place had just closed and a customer was walking out. I asked the girl inside if I could just drop off the package. She rudely said "NO". Not "sorry", or "I wish I could", but "NO". I've been treated rudely there before and will never go back there again. The service has never been fast but it was better than the post office. Service is painfully slow. I waited almost 20 minutes to fax a one page document. I was the only one in line while the owner and one counter person helped others. Both could care less, and neither made any effort to be polite or hurry. I won't be back. read more

I've been coming to this location for a few years now. The location and services are great. The staff is friendly and knows me by name. Can't really find anything to complain about... Sometimes the lines can be a tad long if a lot of people come in for time consuming things but typically it's not very bad. read more

I love this place. Altough UPS is a huge corporation, doing business at this store feels like doing business with a small town mom and pop shop. I am a real estate professional and get all of my flyers printed here because they have a great price on color printing. And the owner Jerry has saved my a-- on more than one occasion by printing flyers for me the same day, or overnight. I like giving my business to this store because I truly feel like they deserve it, and appreciate it. read more

I love this ups store!! I come a few times a week for work to get notaries or mail packages. I don't think this store deserves some of the bad reviews here. Wow, these folks are crooks. They mark postage up 100%. This, of course is not posted anywhere. I only found out after I paid and compared the receipt to the postage that was applied to my letter. $1.60 postage and my fee was $3.20. I spoke with the manager and she told me they have to pay the po offixe so they ha e to keep money. I get that they have to add a mark up but 100% is excessove. Beware. read more

I had to drop some AT&T cable boxes off for a client and I was dreading going into this place. Luckily the girl behind the desk said, looks like everything is here, and you have the AT&T shipping information, I'll take it from here. I was like SWEET, are you sure? Yep I got it. So I can leave? Yep. Later. It was literally a 20 second in and out conversation. I've had some flyers printed in the past and they came out good and the fee was reasonable, much better than blowing through an ink cartridge or two. read more

Don't go for notary services. The girl working the counter (a notary) was not knowledgable about their services. I came in and asked if she could help with what I needed, she promptly said no, no further comment or suggestions. After leaving and calling the vendor that required the paperwork, I called UPS again with more details about the doc I needed, and again didn't receive any help, "no, we can't do anything like that." Fortunately, I called a guy in downtown Martinez, Pak Mail, who was very knowledgable and explained the options for completing the paperwork I needed! read more

I come here often to drop off my Zappos packages. Everyone here is always very courteous and will give me a tracking receipt without me even asking (I've had to ask for a receipt at other locations). The store is very organized with a plethora of packing supplies and a good selection of cards. read more

I have to say my outlook on this place has completely changed!!! The very rude woman is no longer there. This is now my go to place for faxing, mailing whatever. I've kept my box. I love coming in here and talking to Maria and Kim, they are both so nice helpful and cheery. Sometimes just one bad apple will really put a damper on an establishment, that was the case here. Ive frequented this UPS store many times. They have been always helpful. It can get busy there ,but be patient, they always give you good service. Ive had the notary come out to help me during a tough situation. Since then, she still asks me how things are going. So nice to have a caring attitude. They go out of their way to help me. Im a bit technically challenged, so they've made several copies for me, and he even helped put back the paperwork in a spiral binder which was a pain to do! Made my day. I had a problem with the Notary in Hercules so I looked for another UPS store to use. The young man in Martinez that helped me was tremendous (8:00 am shift). While I was waiting I saw how he helped an older gentlemen who was returning a defective Christmas package. Because of the weight it was $65 to ship it back. The clerk suggested that he call the manufacturer and get a call tag for the shipping charges. Not sure if that will work but at least it was worth a try. It was great customer service to make the recommendation. When it was my turn he took care of the Notary quickly and efficiently. He chatted with me and was very friendly. So much different from my other experience. I will go back and use them as my packaging and notary store. Thank you. read more

I am very disappointed with the UPS store. I went just now to mail a package out next day air and needed an UPS envelope. The lady behind the counter told me that they don't supply UPS supplies at that store and that they only have supplies if I am shipping and paying for shipment there. She informed me that I would need to purchase an envelope to ship a next Day air package with them. The problem that I have with this policy is that I am paying for the shipping with UPS and they supply the supplies free of charge to the customer. The fact is the UPS store does not pay for the supplies and should supply them to their customers at no additional charge seeing that they have UPS printed on their signage. I had to drive to another UPS store that is owned by a different person to ship my package. Zero customer service. I definitely will not be going back to this particular UPS store location for any and all services. I could go on and say more things but if you are looking for any shipping services I would go elsewhere. read more

Made an appointment online for notary services. Get there at the time of the appointment only to be told they don't do appointments and I have to wait in line. It was suggested I had the wrong store until I showed my appointment confirmation email. The line was five people deep and taking forever. I had strategically made this appontment to fit in my schedule. Left and took my business elsewhere. read more

Worst UPS I've ever dealt with. Was told AFTER my package was boxed and taped up that I had to pay $14 for the box (!?!?) and $15 for the lady to TAPE IT on top of the $40 it cost to ship. Absolutely ridiculous and they couldn't figure out how to issue a refund. Tell your customers how much you're going to rip them off BEFORE you make them pay for it. After having a mailbox at this location for 3 years I went in to close it out and the rude pissy old lady wanted to charge me 10 bucks just to forward my mail. Y'know, hand it back to the mailman. I needed a work document notarized. I walked in about 5:15 PM. The manager, Jerry, was very thorough. He explained why the work document was not correct and further explained how he could attach a Certificate of Acknowledgment document so it would be correct. The whole process took about 10 minutes and only cost $10. Very impressive. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE..... Find a different UPS Store. The best and only thing going for this location are its employees, they make the store with excellent service skills. If only the owner could follow them it might get a better rating. Been doing business with this store for over 5 years with a mail box, always paid on time, never any problems from me. Had to close out the box as we were moving to a different city, went in and talked to the owner, Jerry, I had mentioned to him I had 1 more month coming on my lease and that I would like a refund for the month. Jerry, very ride says sorry no refunds, your just out of luck, stating all locations operate that way, not true as I called 3 other locations and they all said, if you had paid and needed to leave, we would more than be happy to refund your unused lease. read more

March 2,2017, I went to this store 1155C Arnold Dr in Martinez to mail a package that weighed less than 2lbs. and size 7"x7"x8". A young black man waited on me nd after weighing the package, he said that it would cost me over $26.00. I said What? He said it was because of the size and then takes a measuring tape and measures the width and height and says it is $12.75 for the size plus weight. I refused to be taken advantage of and left the store with my package. I went to Pacheco Post Office and paid a total of $12.75 to have my package mailed. What is wrong with this picture? How many people will get ripped off from this business before it is corrected? read more

DO NOT BUY A BOX FOR YOUR SHIPMENT. I came here with four boxed gifts to send up to Idaho. I needed a shipping box and the older, blonde, ex-tweaker lady measured my stuff and got the box for me. It cost $15 which seemed like a lot for a box but, hey, stuff costs more than I think it should. Anyway, after I pack my four boxed gifts into the shipping box it was only about 1/3 of the way full. The lady comes and slits down the sides of the box so now we have these giant flaps of cardboard she's fanning together to make the box close. By now the shipping box looked like a franken-box that was all crumpled and taped together. The worst part came when she measured my now "custom" size box and informed me the cost for UPS ground will be around $50. Since I've already "customized" the box I can't exchange it for another one. UPS ground usually costs around $20 to ship up to Idaho. This lady has no idea what she's doing and she's extremely confident about it. Go elsewhere. read more

I do not write bad reviews but my experience at the UPS store last week was one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. Two weeks age I sent a package to Illinois. The recipient asked that I send it even though he was going to be out of town until Jan 3. He said it would be fine on his door step, so I did not specify a required signature. UPS tried to deliver the package but after several attempts they sent it back to Martinez. I was disappointed and indicated my displeasure with the driver NOT leaving the package,but I was informed this is up to his/her discretion. I understand the decision even though i did not want the package sent back. When I spoke with the manager of the ups store, she indicated that they would gladly send it back,but that I would incur all of the shipping costs. I was also told that I should have signed some paperwork indicating no required signature, but this was never mentioned when I sent the package. It seems like, under these circumstances, the UPS store would have some discretion regarding the double shipping expenses I am now faced with. The manager was not the least understanding. If it were my business and I had a customer in this situation, I would have tried very hard to cover some of the shipping cost. She could not have cared less and for this reason alone, I have utilized their shipping services for the last time. My father had a great experience and retired from UPS, but he would turn over in his grave if he knew how I was treated. uPS will still get my business, but I'll go to another city before I deal with this particular business. read more
