My visits to this store have just been to do quick returns that require a physical UPS location (Happy Returns). They are located off of 242, between Concord and Willow Pass, and have decent hours (7:30am-6:00pm) making it super convenient to stop by pre/post work. On the Cheese E. Typical corporate shipping store. One thing I appreciate is their partnership with xFinity. It means if I have equipment to return I can bring it in loose and UPS will return it without packaging, for free. One thing I don't appreciate is that instead of posting prices for the self-service supplies, you have to be rung up to find out what the prices are. Kinda whack. read more

The staff here are always holiday-hours frustrated, even when we're not even remotely near the holiday season. It's usually the young folks who seem through, so I'm gonna blame it on the lack of work experience (and world experience). But they still gotta figure something out if they want to have a viable business that people genuinely appreciate patronizing. Called before I visited this location, Cinda answered the phone and was a delight to speak to. If you need to return a package and have the label, this store charges about $2.75 to print the label, whereas the UPS store ive been so for free. I didn't realize these are individually owned franchises until I mentioned that I'd been to ones I usually go to in Walnut Creek that dont charge. However I think it was valid to check. What alarmed me was when the woman asked which store...I wasn't certain, I said Ygnacio (later I realized it wasn't that store)...it was very distasteful when the woman told me I just got them in trouble for mentioning it, with no evidence. We have a UPS store in my town, and while they are always friendly they are not particularly helpful and they seem to always tell me that there is only one option to send a package and it's always an expensive option. So I started to drive to the UPS store in Concord, and OMG, what a difference. PART 1: 0 stars because this place doesn't even deserve one star. Let me start off by saying I have NEVER in my 25 years of life yelled/cussed at a worker before. Even if someone wasn't being nice, I just assumed they were having a bad day or ignored it bc I was never going to see them again. But that changed this morning & that just shows how shitty the customer service is here. I was so pissed off. There's a bitch there and her name is Cinda. I've had 2 unpleasant encounters with her and let it go the first time, but I can't ignore it now because she is constantly just being a mean old lady. - 1st Encounter (Jan '22): My friend sent me a present and it got sent to this UPS. I forgot my ID and didn't know I needed one bc the employee didn't ask for it last time. I asked if I can show them a picture of my ID and they said yes. I got the picture and went back to the counter and there was Cinda. I showed her the picture of my ID and in a very aggressive way she was like "NO. YOU CANNOT SHOW A PICTURE!!!" and I said, "5 min ago one of your workers said that I can..." and she goes, "WHO?! WHO TOLD YOU THAT?!! WHO?!" and I wasn't sure. The employee finally speaks up, says that it was her, and Cinda got angry with her. Did she really have to yell like that? She was being very rude. The tone of her voice was very condescending. I was also told if my mom had the same last name then she could pick it up with her ID, but she doesn't. I tell her I'll come back w/ my ID. So I walk out but she follows me outside & explains to me that I could've covered the original pic of whoever's ID it was and put mine on top of it to take the picture and make it a fake ID. I sternly told her "Okay. I get it." because wtf??! Btw, my legal name is different but I go by Catherine Choi and that's the name that was on the package. My friends call me Catherine, so of course the package said Catherine. See screenshot below for proof. I went back and Cinda finally let me pick up my package. This is important to note because this morning, she wouldn't allow me to. - 2nd Encounter (5/31/22, 9:40AM): This morning, there was Cinda again. It didn't seem like she remembered me but in my head I was like oh no, please no. I kindly said, "I'm here for an Amazon pick-up order," but in a condescending tone she goes, "So you're here for a PICK-UP," as if what I had to say was just "pick-up" and not "Amazon pick-up." I'm really not exaggerating anything here. Anyone would've been able to hear the rudeness in her tone. That annoyed me, but I let it pass. I gave her my ID (which says my legal name) and she took a long stare at it, looked at the computer and asked if it's under another name. And I said, "yes, Catherine Choi." She went on to tell me that the person on the package needs to match the ID and that Catherine needs to pick up the package. I tell her that I AM Catherine and that the name on my ID is my legal name. She says no I can't pick it up and when I asked how I can show her proof that I'm Catherine, she said that I needed to bring in a birth certificate that says that I'm Catherine Choi. I was freaking heated and done dealing with her at this point and I yelled at her asking why she had to be so difficult every time I come in. I told her I was born in Korea & that is my legal name. Then she points out that the address on my package is different from the address on my driver's license. And I tell her yes because I moved!! I moved up here for the time being because my mom has stage 4 cancer & I'm her caregiver. All of this makes no sense because as I previously mentioned, the package my friend sent me in January had Catherine Choi on it too & she was the one who accepted it last time!! Seriously, what is her problem? Does she really think I stole someone's identity to steal the Scrub Daddy dish sponges & aji amarillo paste that's in the package?! LOL what a fool. Cinda, just letting you know but there are millions of immigrants out there who don't use their legal name. I understand that she has to stick to the rules but at least be consistent with what you say & do!! I was so pissed so I snatched my license out of her hand, told her "fuck you dude" & she still had the audacity to shout "well, have a nice day" as I passed the door so I flipped her off. Wow, I have never done that to anyone & I really don't like it when people do that in public but I'm telling you I was MAD. But tbh she really did deserve it. I've seen her be nice but only to white people. I've seen her be rude to someone the 1st time I saw her, and they were not white. Someone tell me -- could it be that she's had bad days both times or is she just racist and doesn't want to show me common decency?? She likes to emphasize that she is "the manager" & loves to power trip. Like I get it girl, stop telling me. If anything, that makes it worse because you're the one representing the store & the way you talk/treat your customers is UNACCEPTABLE. Stay tuned for part 2. read more

Great staff here at UPS. I've returned Amazon purchases, sent various packages and even used their internet and they've all been great and helpful. They are located in a busy plaza between Miller's Cafe and an oil change establishment. When this UPS is open, they tend to get pretty busy at random times throughout the day, but still, great service. read more

Close to the house which is perfect! I ship out tons of kicks especially when your item needs to be where it needs to be to get that payout. Dan the man I call him always takes care of me when shipping out my items. Always got them good secured boxes for kicks. I hate when some places throw your kicks in a box that don't fit and damage your shoe box. The box is an important item especially when your in the shoe game....just saying. Terrible customer service. I went there yesterday for an Amazon return. There were 4 employees behind the counter, not doing anything & I had to wait in the line for 5-10 minutes before the unfriendly employee helped me. Today I went with my mother who doesn't speak much English for Notary & the lady was pretty rude, talking down to my mother & condescendingly asked her "do you know what is notary public for?" I said why are you asking this question? she said because she has already signed the document. I said that is not her signature, it's mine as a witness- if you look closely you can see  where she's supposed to sign & it's blank. She just stared at me. so I said go to hell, I'll take my business elsewhere. Don't waste your time with these guys-The UPS store @ Treat & Clayton has way better service. read more

When I arrived, I was confused because the windows and door was boarded up, looks like it was closed. But to my surprise, it was open. The place was a mess, but they are dealing with a lot of flood damage. I came in to get fingerprinted and Cody helped me. I have to admit I wasn't in the best of moods, I owe Cody a apology actually, but he was awesome. The fingerprint machine wasn't being very corporative, but he kept his cool and helped me complete the scan. Being someone who was in retail management for many many years I think I typically am fairly lenient and understanding on how I feel I am serviced even when service could be a good amount better. If you look at my Yelp reviews you will also see most of them are glowing reviews. That being said, there are certain things that I find appalling and my experience today although the person was not unpleasant was appalling. I recently lost my mother to cancer (no the person did not know this) and have been trying to button up all her affairs before the end of the year so I can start off 2020 with that aspect of things behind me. I realized a few days ago there was a document I needed notarized but I was out of town and did not have the document with me. I did a search online to find an establishment close to me that offers notary services and this UPS branch was one of the closest businesses with the services I need. My company currently has a PO Box in a different UPS store and I have used many of that store's services including notary services in the past. I walked in to the Willow Pass location in Concord at 12:45 P.M. today and was greeted right away. When I said I needed notary services the lady looked at her watch and said we close in 15 minutes so we are not offering notary services for the rest of the day. I just said OK, thank you and walked out the door. Keep in mind I was not told there wasn't anyone available to provide the service, simply that they didn't seem to "have time" to do it or that was the impression I was given. They also did not inquire as to how many documents I needed signed and there was one other customer in the store that was already being helped. I had errands to run near the Todos Santos Plaza and as I walked by the bank I was going to, I noticed a PostNet store. I walked over to see if they offered notary services and they told me they did. I happened to look at my watch real quick and it was 1:33pm. I then left the store, walked around the corner to my car, grabbed the document and walked back to the store. The nice gentleman notarized the "single" signature I needed notarized collected my money and I left at 1:37, so the actual transaction took maybe 3 minutes. This may not seem like a big deal to most but it will probably lead me to never do business with UPS again and remove our business PO BOX. It only would have taken 3 minutes of someone's time, in my time of need to keep my business but someone was too interested in making getting off work quick on NYE their priority. I still would have been out of there long before the business closed as well. read more

I've never had a bad experience with this particular store. My husband and I were just there 2 days ago to return a few Amazon packages. The guy who was helping us was very patient even though we had a ton of packages and some of our labels were mismatched. The ups delivery man was also there waiting for all the packages to be scanned so he can take them so he also helped us with getting the right labels on the right packages. Instead of getting frustrated since there were customers behind us, both the guy helping us behind the counter and the ups delivery guy were very nice and just wanted to help us get all of our packages so we didn't have to go back. I've also never waited too long to get some help and parking at this location is great, it's next to Lucky and a few other stores so it's really convenient! read more

UPDATE 3.17.2019 Per Owner response, an "honest mistake" doesn't account for how I was spoken to. No customer should ever be spoken to that way. Mixing me up with another "Johnathan" doesn't mean you raise your voice in front of other customers and start berating me or accusing me. I never received a single apology for the verbal treatment and how I was treated. They simply apologized for mixing up my package. While UPS found my package, they still have not settled the legal costs incurred for filing small claims action against them. They told me they are working on it but I haven't heard from them for a few days. While I appreciate the Yelp Owner's quick response in a public forum for others to see, I wish privately this matter would resolve and I saw the same responsiveness. Would like to see them follow up to fully resolve this matter, and I'd like to end this review positively. ----- I am truly stunned at how the manager, Letticia Garcia, spoke to me and treated me. I was absolutely shocked at her terrible leadership and unprofessionalism, and how confrontational she was towards me. This store threw my package away when it was returned to them b/c I didn't come to pick it up within 7 days. No one EVER told me their policy, that they would throw it away after 7 days. When I went in, the Assistant Manager Armando Talavera (Armando was very respectful and tactful) and the Manager Letticia Garcia both told me they would have told me in the voicemail they left me. When I played the manager the voicemail I had that shows they did not, and tried to get more details of how I would have known about their policy, the Manager accused me of being aggressive and refused service to me. The worker who left the message to me heard her voicemail playing and then loudly said from the back, "WHY DID YOU WAIT TO COME HERE AND PICK IT UP? THAT'S ON YOU!" I should have known this was going downhill after I asked Ms. Garcia if they keep record of who called me to first tell me about the package and she said yes they do. I then said 'oh that's great because I was just told you don't but if you do that'll help me". Then she got super loud, pointed her finger at me and said, "SIR, DO NOT BE TWISTING MY WORDS AND USING THEM AGAINST ME." What??????????? Why are you loud? What am I using against you? How did I twist your words? Are we on the same team? Do you want to help me? Am I a customer? What is happening? I just need the information so I can file a claim. I'd also genuinely like to know the process of how my package was thrown away. Can someone take the time to explain it, and acknowledge where maybe the process could improve? By my asking simple questions 1) Do you have record of when you called me, 2) Do you have record of throwing away my package and 3) Do you have record of ever disclosing your policy to me, they had records of NOTHING. Nothing! The manager became extremely defensive and LOUD in front of all of the customers, just by my asking for details about my package they threw away! The most classic thing she said to me (LOUDLY) after realizing no one told me the policy, "THIS IS COMMON SENSE." Wow, can't believe a customer is spoken to that way. I stayed calm and tried explaining I just need the information about my package. In the end, Letticia Garcia was incredibly unprofessional, repeatedly raised her voice at me with several customers around, and asked me to leave the store. I never once raised my voice or acted unprofessional back. Worse yet, I was going to ship another package, and she handed the package back to me and said they were refusing service to me. Speechless. Wow! This kind of treatment needs acknowledged. Humiliating. Guess small claims is next... The fact that two people both spoke rashly to me, I could only encourage the Owner to review any footage they have. I am extremely professional, and it was merely my questions and their lack of answers that made them so defensive (not Armando).
