I have been using this UPS Store exclusively for all of my shipping needs over the past year or so. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and their staff has always been friendly. All of my experiences here have been positive and they have been super helpful and go the extra mile, assisting with labeling and things when I was in a hurry. They have always offered great suggestions and alternatives for special shipping situations and are upfront about costs and are understanding if you decide to go a different route without judging or being dismissive. That's a big deal because, let's face it, sometimes you can find ways to save some money just by changing the way an item is packaged or going with another service and nothing sucks more than being made to feel bad about that, and they have always been understanding and kind! I go into this store regularly to do Amazon returns and the service is always fine, a crap shoot who you get to help you and how it effects your mood doing another errand in your day. Today I was helped by a young man, Jose, who was the best person by far I've ever dealt with in this location. He was incredibly patient, kind, sweet, funny and helpful! Dinesh and Amanda set a new standard for UPS Stores. Every-time I visit they've gone above and beyond in an effort to be helpful. Amanda once again helped me print out a label on one of their state of the art printers. She's so helpful and courteous. I had a heavy package in my vehicle and asked if they had a hand-truck? Before I could finish the question she was off to the back of the store, and returned with just what I needed. After retrieving the package, Danesh came over to help tape it up, in an effort to better re-enforce it... It's always nice to visit a business where you're treated with such dignity and respect. The staff is normally very friendly and efficient. They now how to process amazon returns! Hack: They can print Amazon return labels using QRS codes so no need to print at home. read more

Could the people here be any less friendly and possibly not make you feel like you're bothering them? Don't expect a friendly greeting(or any greeting at all in some cases). They all move as slow as they possibly can, no urgency at all to help customers. Be sure not to bother Frankie when he's busy standing behind the counter texting , he will rudely bark replies at you. worst ups store! customer service is horrible from the staff to the owner. had them do my passports pictures and they demanded I retake the picture over and over again. when I said I just wanted my picture and I'd handle if it was rejected or not the owner told me to leave. what?! Always friendly service. As an Amazon Prime member, and who isn't anymore, this is my go to place for returns. On the occasion that I forgot to tape up my package, they are always happy to help me out with that. On the flipside, at FedEx they do not have tape for their customers and insist that you buy a giant roll so that you can have 6 inches of tape. So yes I'm happy to bring my business to the UPS store. I made two trips in the last two days to the UPS store at Virginia Hills and both times I only needed a couple of color copies. Amanda (one of the owners), assisted me both times and treated me like I was a VIP. She was very courteous, professional, and friendly. Instead of directing me to the self-service copiers, she made the copies for me, put them in a cardboard mail envelope to protect them, and she even asked if I was a AAA member so I could get a 15% discount. Who does that? Both times her service was exceptional for my total purchase of less than $3. Amanda told me that her and her co-owner, Dinesh, recently purchased the franchise in April. I recommend if you visited the store prior to April and did not care for the service, try again and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Please be advised that there are NEW OWNERS for this store (as of April 2021), and they are FANTASTIC! Consequently, please just look at the reviews from April 2021 forward. This store now EXCELS in customer service. Unlike any of the previous owners, who rarely suggested possible lower price options, these folks do, and have the customer's best interest in mind. You can tell there is new ownership the moment you walk in...the store just feels different. It's more upbeat and friendly. Now that Amanda and Dinesh are the new owners, you are greeted with a genuine smile, a sincere desire to assist, and are given recommendations regarding products and services that can help meet your needs. I have been coming to this store for years only because it is in my neighborhood, but I was never told until now that there is a AAA discount on some shipping methods!! Who knew?! No previous owner ever told me that, but it is a testament to these two new owners that they are indeed making customer service their top priority. Plus, they are just REALLY NICE PEOPLE. The UPS store is a Franchise and not all stores are equal. The UPS store @ 6680 Alhambra Ave in Martinez is not one of the good ones. They will nickel and dime you for everything. I was using them as an access point so I could have packages delivered their instead of leaving on my doorstep. After receiving multiple packages this way I am now all of a sudden being charged for each package. They also upcharge for postage stamps and charge $3 for to send a one page fax. Save yourself some aggravation and use the UPS store on Crescent Drive in PH or the one a Palos Verdes Mall WC. Both have much better management. read more

Today while picking up a package I was required to REMOVE my mask even though my ID matched the name and address on it. Also I had the pickup number generated by the shipper. There was no reason to put my health at risk and it is mandated by the state of California to wear a mask at all times indoors. read more

We have been going to this UPS store for a number of years for various shipping and notary needs, and it has always been fine, but an experience we had last weekend put it into a separate category, and I'd give it several more stars if I could. It was Saturday morning and we were half way to SFO when our guests from the midwest discovered we had left two small carry-on suitcases at our house. The cases contained the most cherished possessions of their three-year-old twins, including the blankets and stuffed animals they sleep with each night. It was too late to turn back, so the only thing to do was to figure out how to reunite them and their precious items as quickly as possible. After they boarded their plane at SFO we returned home, called our UPS store on Alhambra Avenue and explained the situation. The employee we spoke with (Lucien) was very sympathetic and told us that if we could get to the store fairly quickly (before a scheduled pick-up) he could get a parcel onto a Next Day Air flight. We grabbed the most essential items (security blankets and teddy bears) and got them on their way at once. The suitcases with the rest of the toys and books we shipped by UPS ground. Thanks to Lucien's exceptional customer service we were able to text the news to the parents that all was well, and the twins seemed satisfied that their teddy bears and blankets would very soon be arriving home in the brown truck. I was here again last week to drop a package, and was pleasantly surprised - it wasn't very crowded, and the moment I walked in, the lady approached me and asked me how can she help. UPS Stores are franchises, so the quality of the service varies drastically from store to store. This particular store has staff that is always friendly and helpful. Even though their prices are higher than the post office, I prefer to go to this UPS store and get help, rather than waiting in a long line at the post office. read more

Love this UPS store, been going here for years (since it was a Mail Boxes Etc. Store). Steve, the manager, is very friendly and efficient, juggling multiple clients skillfully when things get busy. Over the years, he has mailed many things for me (including a laptop to Europe) and I have never been let down. The shop also provides mailboxes, faxes, notary service, copying, etc -- pretty much everything a small business or individual (without a complete office setup) would need. Great local service with staff who know all their regulars -- don't drive any further for your mailing/office support needs! read more

My Business has me traveling a lot. I needed a place to get my mail, receive packages, package, ship, notarize. This store fit that bill for me. Since then, I have found the staff to be professional, friendly and helpful. I get greeted by name each time I come in to the store. I have NEVER had any issue with the services here.
