I just saw some poor guy try to drop off a package with a pre-printed label. He asked for a shipping receipt, but they wouldn't give him one. (I've been to other locations, they're supposed to give you one). Then they told him to just take his package and leave. And told him not to come back. Hilarious. And when he asked to speak to a manager, one of the dudes behind the counter, wearing a white shirt, was like I am the manager! Yeah, right, buddy. This UPS store gets "0"star, it sucks, it is completely unethical, it robs money from customers. AVOID this place completely!! I went there with a pre-paid label, and the black guy told me the envelope would cost $2, but once sealed, he put it on the scale and asked me for $4.50. I said "didn't you just say it is $2 ?", he said "I never told you that". I was very upset for this unethical business practice. SO I gave him $20, he gave me $14.5 for change!!!!! and kept on saying he was right, refused to give me the right change. Then he even ripped open the envelope thus wasted my money. I asked the owner for the cheapest option, because time was not of the essence. He told me the cheapest would be 3 Day Select. After hearing the quote, and thinking it was a bit high, I re-asked if there was anything slower or cheaper, because time was not important. He told me again that this was the cheapest available. I went ahead and paid, but thinking this was suspicious I then checked prices on the UPS website and found that UPS Ground would have been substantially cheaper. When I go to a UPS Store I expect the employees there, and certainly the owner who I was dealing with to be my advocate and point me to the correct services to fill my needs. In this case I do not feel like this was done. One of the worst customer service I have experienced. Went here for getting notary done for some documents. The guy working at the counter was so rude, he didn't acknowledge my presence for first few mins and ignored me completely even though I was the only customer there. Then Finally I asked him about notary and just before I can finished my sentence, he abruptly cut me off, went inside and gave me a notary visiting card and asked me contact her in a very annoyed voice. I want to warn everyone about this UPS store. The owner is rude, combative and completely devoid of customer service skills, let alone, manners. I took an Amazon return to their store and was told by an Indian man (he identified himself as the owner) that he didn't have room for my return and that I would have to come back some other day. I told him that the return was TIME-SENSITIVE and that I saw plenty of room for the flat, rectangular box I was attempting to return, but he did not care. He told me to leave in a rude way and was very dismissive. I calmly reiterated that he actually had more than enough room to take the box I was returning, but he was adamant that he was not going to accept the return, regardless of what I was saying. When I called him out for being so rude and unhelpful, he simply said that he was "sorry I felt that way," in a passive-aggressive manner and walked away from me, as if he'd been doing me some kind of favor even talking to me! I left the store very upset and ended up going to another UPS store two miles from the one in Milpitas, where they treated me with respect and had no issues accepting my return. I will never go back to the Milpitas UPS store and have also lodged a complaint with Amazon about the horrible customer service that that particular store provides to customers. I was looking for 0 stars, but have to settle for 1 (which is an over-achievement on the part of this pathetic UPS store. I'm a regular UPS user, and this is by far the worst 'store' I've been to. They made me wait 10 minutes (with no one ahead of me) to merely drop off a package. Add insult to injury, they ran out of tape to pack my shipping box so they made me use one of their new tapes, and despite inquiring whether I need to pay for it, didn't utter a word about until I was done taping. That was sly and cheap. Needless to say they can shove that tape right back up their behinds. Lesson learned, this place is garbage and it's manager a moron. You might be skeptical - how can a UPS Store be shady? This place has figured shadiness out to perfection. It's hard to believe this location messes up even a pre-paid package drop off, but it's true. They are rude, but more importantly, they will just lie to your face at their whim for no reason. Almost any question you ask is answered with a lie. How much to ship xxx pounds? Lie. How much are packing peanuts? The guy will just make up a price (I know because the guy who quoted me the fake price took a phone call from his honey, and another guy rang me up and it was a much lower price, wtf). Worst store ever! I wanted to send a package to uk consulate and I had already paid for courier service through VFS. The person at the store said that the label was paid for only 0.8 lbs(package had 0.0 lbs written on it) and apparently the driver won't pick it up if it exceeds that weight. He asked us to initiate another one way label for $80! I immediately went to another UPS store and they accepted my package as is with no extra charge. I wish I could give 0 stars. I have dealt with three different individuals at this store and they don't understand customer service for sure. If you are going to this store for returning Amazon or other return packages, be sure to ask for a receipt. If they decline, request again or don't drop your package at all. UPS has contract with Amazon for return services and any UPS store is supposed to treat customers well even if its returns. This store has disappointed me for many many times. Wanted to get pricing on shipping a Parcel to Canada. Went there to inquire and this short and dumb Asian guy proceeded to treat it as a shipment and asked for exact Contents inside the bag. I told him I wasn't sure because I didn't think I needed to disclose that. As I was not thinking quickly enough due to having a bad sinus infection, the worker proceeded to cut open my bag. I then realized what was happening and stopped him because I just wanted to get a price. He looked befuddled at the screen. Another guy gave me the price and tried to up sell the service. This place is terrible. I dread having to drop off packages due to the terrible service. Previously I was charged $5 to pick up a package!! What?! On their corporate website it says that we can redirect packages to a UPS store for free if we won't be home to receive them. Not the case with this store. I've now switched to STAPLES in the same shopping plaza. They are an easy place to drop off your UPS or USPS packages. I went to drop off a package at this UPS store. The item was of significant enough value that I wanted a receipt for the shipment. A simple, reasonable request. According to UPS, issuing a receipt is standard procedure. It protects the person who is releasing the package into the care of UPS. The clerk (who claimed to be the manager/owner) receiving the packaged refused to issue a receipt. After spending more time arguing about it than it would have taken to print the receipt, the clerk told me to take my package somewhere else. It seems despite numerous complaints from other customers who have faced this same problem, this store continues to not provide a service that as a franchisee of UPS Store they are supposed to provide. I called UPS Store's corporate headquarters to register a complaint. I encourage others to do the same. Phone number is 800-789-4623. If as a business owner they are not willing to listen to their customers, maybe the franchiser can do something about it. In this case, I took my package to another UPS Store. My cousin shipped some jewellery to me from this store and they charged him $600.00 I called ups and they said it should be $280, but that individual stores can charge what they want. I go to this place nearly every week to ship packages, i sell on ebay. I only go here when jen the new girl is working because the indian dude is a greedy rude, unemotional douche bag who charges you for anything he can think of, all the 1 & 2 star reviews are from experiences with the owner, which I've had a few run ins with him and each and every time it was an unpleasant experience, to say the least. Jen is super super nice, along with the veteran there, Ramon. My last run in with the owner was dreadful, all i wanted to do was email him my pre-paid amazon label and he charged me 4.95 for 3 pages of paper, he said it was a "computer rental" charge, WTF, you printed out 3 pages, i didn't even touch the computer. I don't really like writing review and all. I've been coming to this UPS store since I moved in Milpitas and it was just right across the street from where my house is. I'm very very disappointed about why the heck UPS management put this 2 monkey in this location. Their the most unpleasant people to do business with. The moment you walk inside this store, not a single greeting or smile from Indian dude Ramon and that Asian dude who has a frown look on his face everytime I go there to send out item from Amazon... not to mention they make you feel as if you're not standing there....they have you wait for very long time even when no other customer is around. I sent out a return packaged to them yesterday 04/11/2017 and this Indian old guy price gouging it cost $45 to send the package which cost more than what the item i'm sending...You gonna be kidding me and he told me that's the cheapest option I have and he even try to compare it with United Postal if I send to them they will charge me $53. I called the 800 UPS number to verify what my options are and they told me $16. This MF Indian guy will try to ripped you off. Never again will goto this UPS store and mail item using UPS. I asked for a small piece of tape because there was a small opening that i missed while i was taping my package. I was asked to buy a whole roll of tape. I got angry and drove to the warmsprings UPS location which isnt too far off and the employees there were more than happy to tape up my package for me. And it was FREE!!! Don't go here unless you're dropping off a pre-paid package. Avoid supporting this business! I got RIPPED off from renting their mailbox. The front guy Kevin was all friendly, but the rates were just coming out of his head. I paid TWICE as much - Kevin even says the other places charge more, etc. Well the other places are CHEAPER ! Plus he never said there was a NO REFUND policy. So, yes, there's NO refund on mailbox rentals - but he doesn't tell you that ! I said it's just 1 hr ago, and I haven' even used it !
