We went to the UPS store to get a live scan which cost more than $100 even though the average cost is around $30. When we had a problem we were told to come back with the info. 3rd trip and nothing was done. Now they want us to pay for a new scan and if it is determined over the next 30 days it was their fault we might get a refund. read more

I've always had a great experience at this UPS Store. They have always been attentive, friendly and helpful. I had a very heavy and difficult to pack item that I was shipping (returning) to China. The shipping costs were going to be outrageous. Noting my distress, the owner helped me to repack my item so it was in a smaller package and would weigh less...therefore it ended up costing somewhat less than it was how I had it packaged. DO NOT USE THIS STORE! YOU HAVE MANY OTHER CHOICES! Had a horrible experience dealing with the owner Joanne at this location because she was not able to correctly take care of a service that was fully paid for in advance. When inquired about it, she was extremely rude and short and accused me of wanting a discount. I lost weeks of pay because of her negligence and she refused to fix the issue. She asked for more money on multiple occasions while refusing to even acknowledge the hardship that she caused losing my papers. Filed multiple complaints with the UPS headquarters and the franchisee department and they had to get involved. She promised part of money back after the UPS Headquarters got involved for which I have all of the documentation, but never sent the payment. In exchange, my employer finally agreed to pay for the services again and she discriminated openly (most likely due to my ethnicity) saying she rather not do business with me...this is after months of delay and hundreds of dollars in loss income for which she is responsible for... Open discrimination and horrible service with an attitude. The UPS headquarters had to assign a full-time person to this case and they mentioned this is not the only complaint they have had from her and they offered to process a refund for my employer. She never apologized and this is after my employer gave her a lot of business for years. Made me very embarrassed in front of my employer and the my loss wages were never compensated by her. I have been a customer of the store for roughly 8 years. They do the job as far as providing me with a PO box. The only problem is, the service. There is a younger female employee who is an absolute delight every time I come in; there have been a couple of younger males that have been very polite. But there is a woman, I believe it is the owner, the franchise owner, who is just plain sour. She never smiles. She never greets properly. She always seems angry. And this isn't just once, this is consistently throughout the years. I wish this woman would adjust her demanor to be a little more friendly to the customers-- it goes a long way. Other than that, the actual store itself does what it is supposed to do and has done well for me. After calling and asking if they do live scan. I am told yes after which I say I'll be right down. I enter 16 mins before they close and the lady at the counter says I need to be there one hour before they close to complete. It takes about 5 mins. The Ventura Sheriff's do it in 5 mins. I leave in the morning for two weeks abroad and told her it was very important that I send these documents. She said "sorry". I said what are you going to do for the next 15 mins? Just stand there? She said "sorry" With this stupid look on her face. No help! Don't care! You are one sorry human being! I write maybe 1 review a year. All my reviews over the years have been 5 stars. The UPS Store is the 1st one that really irritated so much that I had to write a 1 star review. I went in looking to get 100 copies done. They give me a proof before they started the job. A bunch of flaws in it- dust in the scanner. They wipe it down. 3 more times this happens- give me a proof and there's still dust in the scanner, (they keep wiping it down with a quickly disintegrating paper towel, which is probably the source of the dust). They say "do you have a digital copy, we'll just print it". I say "same price?" They say "yes". I say "perfect". They first quoted me $10 for 100 copies. Before they ring me up they say "$12.73". I say "$2.73 in taxes?" (I didn't do the math in my head to realize that would be 27% tax). They said "YES". I get the receipt. $2 "computer rental" fee. I say "wait, I paid a $2 'computer rental' fee because there's flaws in your scanner?" I know that it's only $2, but the issue is I specifically asked "SAME PRICE?" And they said "YES". That's my huge issue - poor, unethical business practices. read more

We have been coming here for a couple years and they turn us away when we bring them pre paid boxes to ship because they don't make enough money on them. But if they are overcharging you for shipping then they want your business. I'm over not feeling like a valued customer for the last 2 years. On August 10, my wife found out that she had forgotten to bring her passport to visit Vancouver while traveling in Seattle. She called me to send her passport over to Seattle right away at 4pm! I rushed over to the USPS to hear that their cut-off for next day delivery was 12pm. She needed the passport next morning! I drove to the UPS store at 4:40pm to get some help. Joanne kindly held the UPS truck, the regular pick-up time of which was 4:30pm (last pick-up time for next day air) and handed the passport to the driver at around 4:45pm. My wife got the passport in Seattle the following morning at around 10am and was able to drive into Canada with her friends as planned. What a great service I got from Joanne! read more

Waste of time and money!!!! I went there to get my passport photo, I was so excited to get that out of the way. I then went to the Burbank city clerk to turn in my passport form, paperwork and photo. They saw my passport photo and said that my pic was not acceptable, be ause the UPS worker used flash, and was off center. So I had to retake and pay for another passport photo!! My wife and I came in for the first time a few weeks ago, about a half hour before closing time. The nice fellow behind the counter helped us pick out the appropriate box for our package, then proceeded to label and pack it for us. After he had it boxed up he dashed into the back and passed it off to the UPS driver who was picking up the outgoing items. Our package arrived at it's destination the next day. Being a UPS Store customer for over 11 years now in several states. This is the first one without a computer for the customers to use. They claim not to have access to the internet (according to a short young lady with dark hair) They will no access the internet or cant to print out a shipping label for you. They will not allow you to pay your box monthly. My experience of the over all performance of the store is lack-luster. Its the least accomedating store I have been in or patronized. Every time i need something my answer has been "we don't do that or we wont do this" GRANTED ITS BEEN BY THE SAME EMPLOYEE SO MAYBE THE STORE POLICIES ARE DIFFERENT. read more
