I visited this location many times and generally had no issues with sending or returning packages. However, during my most recent visit, the service was beyond frustrating and disappointing. There was only one employee assisting customers, and although he processed my return quickly, he rushed through it without weighing the package and left it unattended on the scale in plain view, given the value of the contents. I politely asked that it be placed under the counter with the other secured packages as part of standard process. Instead, the employee responded with visible irritation, delayed addressing my request for over 15 minutes and repeatedly ignored it while assisting other customers whose packages he immediately secured without issue, When I followed up, I was met with a rude remark rather than assistance. Notably, I was the only Asian in the store at the time which made the experience feel particularly uncomfortable and concerning. When I called UPS to file a complaint, they refused and said the only way to do that is to go to the physical store and speak to a manager. Do better, UPS. read more

Have been here twice with amazing service. The first time I came in with a load of returns and the clerk was patient and efficient as I gave her each item. Second time I had fewer items. Both times she was courteous and efficient. Am grateful for the excellent service! read more

The guy inside moved at a snail's pace while the line outside got longer and longer. He came out at 7:30pm on the dot to say that he wasn't taking anyone else. He claimed that he came out at 7:05 to tell someone that they'd be the last customers but inthe 20 minutes that I'd been there, no one came out to say that no more customers would be seen and that we were all wasting our time. I am very disappointed with the staff at this store. I tried shipping an item yesterday, 10/19/2023 at 3:45pm. The two staff members were completely distracted playing with bubble wrap and one of them was distracted with their phone as well. I walk in and they act as if I was interrupting something important they were doing. I explained to them I wanted to drop off an item and showed them the QR code, but they prevented me from going forward because they said "we can't ship it like that." I placed the item in an extra sturdy box, much stronger than typical shoe boxes, but they proceeded to tell me "you can't ship it like that, are you shipping shoes?" This is the FIRST time I go to UPS and get asked about what I'm dropping off, since I was not a regular shipping customer. They scan my QR code anyway and tell me "you can't ship it anyway, suspecting I was shipping shoes without an outer box, but again, if I am not shipping anything prohibited or sending lithium batteries, I don't understand if I'm dropping an item off I have to explain to the staff what I am shipping. I knew they wanted to upcharge me for a box, when all we needed was a plastic sleeve to protect it. They said it would be $8.99 for packing materials, which I refused to pay, knowing I never had the experience of a worker trying to upsell me UPS items when I drop off. The second I turn around, I hear the workers start playing with bubble wrap again, and I got the feeling they wanted to charge extra for items and keep my change. The employees working here are lazy, unprofessional and deceitful. I went to another UPS store on Broadway and 170-171st St and they were able to ship my item, no questions asked. read more

I visited this location to mail a card to my sister via their express service. While talking to the manager Jeff, an Asian woman interrupts me twice to ask him to show her how to use the computer. Rather than ask her to wait, he allows her interjection and moves to assist her, while I am in the middle of talking to him. As a Black woman I will resist this kind of racism and as a Columbia university student I will refer all my friends to use other mailing services. read more

Awful, rude, and terrible! I made an appointment with this UPS online for the purpose of having a document notarized. The web site allowed me to make an appointment for 12:30 on a Saturday, the latest time it offered. I even received an e-mail reminder! So imagine my surprise when I showed up at 12:30 today for my appointment, and the clerk on duty rudely informed me that the notary never works on Saturday. He did not care at all that this was not my error. He was rude, impolite, and uncaring. That's what stings the most. OK, the store didn't do what it was supposed to do in its web site. She was too busy not doing her job and talking about taking 30 minute lunch breaks with 2 other staff who seemed to be loading or dropping off packages. This place has the laziest employees ever! I walked in to a big lazy blob sitting down behind the counter on his phone. No service with a smile or upbeat attitude, more like just there to make a paycheck. He also tried charging me for a label that I had a scan code for!
