Terrible customer service, the tall lady didnt seem to want to help and send me out. Not coming back to this UPS store ever

The only reason it's getting 2 stars is because of the amazing manager but this worker here is the most rude disrespectful customer service person I've come in contact with to date .i cane here As I usually do to drop off my amazon packages and I was seen by the person in the picture. I had 2 packages one needed to be taped before I was even greeted he said you need to tape that one in a very aggressive manner .i responded ok well can you tape it I have to get to work . He responded no it's your responsibility.i respond ok but the lady who usually takes the packages tapes them he then says .well I'm not slams my package and says can I help the next customer please .i respond wait can you at least give me the sticker for this one .hes like no you need to fix this and continue with his customers.im at this point feeling frustrated. So I tell him again ,I need my sticker for this one ! He keeps working with everyone but me .so I have to go to the gestation and he was so angry when I told him what happened he used little pieces of tape to tape my package ! The worst experience I've ever had with them and I will tell everyone who listens not to do business with them ever again read more

I've been to this specific location twice. The first was to return some equipment back to At&t. The two women who helped me seemed to have no idea what they were doing and took a very long time to help me with a pretty simple procedure. The second time I was shipping a package. The older gentleman helping me was nice enough but it seemed like he didn't really have a firm grasp on the equipment. The online quote for my shipment was dead-on, except there was a $20 "special handling" fee that was tacked on. When I asked about this, the man told me that it was probably because the $1000 declared value of my package. I hesitantly continued. After questioning this over in my head, I looked to the UPS website for some answers. As far as I can tell, this "special handling" fee should only apply to hazardous materials, not my simple residential ground shipment. Also, they are only supposed charge you .65 cents per $100 of your declared value, which should only have amounted to $6.50 in my case. I would suggest going to another store where the staff knows what they are doing and doesn't overcharge you. The UPS Store location on Piedmont is nice and well staffed, although I still think shipping via UPS in general is a rip off compared to the good old US post office. read more

Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this horrible UPS store. I don't have anything against UPS, but the people who work at this store are rude, condescending, and will make everything more difficult for you. I now travel further to the store on Franklin for decent service. Screw the Grand Avenue UPS Store! You guys suck and I hope your business falls!!! read more

You couldn't pay me to use this store and I live only a block away. These are the slowest and least customer service minded people on earth. Two clerks. One sits and gossips on his cell phone. The other takes ONE HOUR to ship a package for the customer in front of me. Then the "working (and I use that word loosely)" clerk disapears for another 15 minutes while I have to wait, and the other clerk stays on his phone. Total time in there to mail one package? One and a half hours!!! I'd give zero stars if I could. read more

The woman who runs this UPS store is totally incompetent. I have been waiting on 2.5 months of backpay because she submitted my (really expensive) livescan info incorrectly to the DOJ. My employer says she submitted the form wrong and the information came to them in a format they can't accept. When I went to the store location, she had to dig up my wrinkled and coffee-stained form from a pile of disorganized livescan forms, unfiled but stored somewhere mysterious. She claims she has no control over how the DOJ sends info back - my employer says the opposite. She refuses to work with me, redo my prints for free, or recompense me for her incorrect services. She is scattered and disorganized and unhelpful. Don't come here. I'd take her to small claims court for my backpay and credit card bill since I haven't been paid, if I had the money for a lawyer. read more

This store has reliable staffing of nitwits. I stop using this store a few years ago because there is always an issue or a long wait. Then last week, I dropped off a packaged hard drive with a UPS return label from the manufacturer. Yesterday, I attempted the same and the clerk rudely insisted it was it was not a UPS label on the package. I immediately went to another UPS store that is out of my own neighborhood and dropped off the package. read more

Package was supposed to be delivered June 1st by 8pm. 8pm rolls around and no package. I call on June 2nd, and they say that the package will be delivered by the end of the day on June 2nd. I run into to carrier and she told me she doesn't have a package for me, so I call and ask what the hold up is, and they say that I'll get my package by 8pm that day, I asked to speak with someone and the lady took my name, number and address, and said I should get a call before 8pm. At 7:50 I call, because why not? They re-direct me to the Philippines, and I ask to speak to a supervisor, and I'm on hold for more than 20 minutes, and no supervisor. They ASSURE ME that it will be here on Monday, by 8pm. Today is Monday JUNE 5th, I called UPS to ask if it's really going to be delivered today, and to talk to a supervisor. After 35 MINUTES OF BEING ON HOLD I somehow got "disconnected". This is unbelievable. No supervisor has called me, as promised. My package has been "in transit" since June 1st, AND NO ONE WILL GIVE ME AN ANSWER. I half expect this from USPS but this is a joke when UPS won't answer or respond to you. In numerous transactions, including getting papers notarized, packing things to ship, sending back a laptop for repair, the manager has always been amazingly efficient, good-humored, friendly and helpful. And whether I am coming in to do business or passing her on the street, she always greets me by name. A great community resource. read more

I prepared a package that included a Macbook and other sentimentally valuable items. I put insurance on the package and waited for it to arrive at its destination. The package never arrived and is still considered lost after two months. When I tried opening a lost package claim, the employees at this store informed me that the package did NOT have insurance on it and I would only be able to claim $100 + the cost of shipping and not the total amount of the insurance I had purchased. I am completely sure that I purchased insurance because of the laptop; clearly this points to employee incompetence in correctly processing these shipments. I am beyond upset with the way this whole situation is being handled. This store does not care and contends that I was the one at fault. I do not recommend using this franchise if you wish to have your packages arrive in one piece, or in my case, arrive at all. read more

Great service, conveniently located, and very pleasant staff person. This was my first visit to the store to electronically deposit a check to my bank. I have posted a previously bad experience with another UPS store which twice failed to complete this seemingly simple task. When I called this store the attendant, without my prompting verified that the scanning machine was working and when I arrived the process took all of five minutes to complete. I just returned from the UPS Store on Grand Avenue, and although I seldom write reviews I decided I would in this case because of the outstanding service I received. I had 2 large items to be packaged and shipped. There was young guy working there who offered to carry the items from my car, and a woman who was so competent and knowlegable about shipping services that it made what could have been complicated very easy. I left feeling how nice it is to use a store where the people are helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this UPS Store. read more

They are in the neighborhood, and it is so convenient to be able to pick up not only your mail, bur for the packages they sign for. Aracel is the steady constant at this UPS Store location. I have a mailbox there and I am 99% satisfied with the service. In the past there have been blips. Not receiving a notice in my box when I had a pkg hidden in the back for a couple of weeks. The store used to leave email to box renters about in coming pkgs but that came to an abrupt end. In coming pkg's start to stack up when customers do not pick them up in a timely fashion. There is not much room for storage. Aracel is consistent with her willing to get the job done. She has a ready smile, is very friendly and informative. There has been high employee turnover at this location and Aracel always seems to be training someone new. The owner, when he is there, can be testy and cantankerous. Even towards customers. My box rental has increased $70 more for 2016. This may well be my last rental renewal from the store. read more

This store is exasperating. Over a month ago I had my fingerprints taken by the store owner and paid him. The prints were to be electronically submitted to the DOJ and they weren't. I didn't find out until a month later. Then, I called the store and spoke with a woman working there. She would not explain what happened to the prints . I still don't know what happened. In any event, she gabbed and gabbed and said nothing. So, I asked her to have the store owner call me to resolve the problem, but never heard from him. I called again today and was put on hold forever. I finally spoke with a man working there and same story - lots of infuriating talking without much to say. I'm not sure how many times he said to me, "what's the big deal?" I have no idea what is going on with these guys. They are just kind of nasty but I'm sort of stuck so I am going back in tomorrow to try again. read more

I want to like this store, but they just won't let me. I live in the neighborhood and want to drop packages off as a convenience but the employees are either clueless, careless, or thoughtless. Perhaps a combo of all 3? I took my XBox in to ship yesterday, after I had mailed a $75. package only an hour earlier and the counter-people blankly gazed at me as if they had never seen me before. I was then informed it would cost a fortune in styrofoam peanuts to ship my pre-paid package back. This could be excused by the corporate UPS man setting rules that lowly employees just can't shake but the information was delivered with button-pushing thougthless-ness and a lack of interested in helping me problem solve another way to ship my package back. $20. in shipping and packaging was required for the X-box as a standard rate by the UPS store - they've shipped many, even though X-box sent a more than adequate 8 lb. pre-paid label to me. All of this could fall into misunderstanding but they are just so rude about it! Why so rude UPS? Why? Oh well, there's another UPS store up the block. read more

OMG OMG OMG - I have never been treated so rudely and unprofessionally as I was at this store - their "manager", Tony, is one of the most moronic customer service people I've ever come across. Insisted he could not repeat my Live Scan fingerprints there - that I had to use the original site " because the ATI number had to match the original store"- NOT TRUE TONY. Then insists if he did it I would need to repay the entire fee already paid to the DOJ - NOT TRUE TONY - and even after I showed him the DOJ letter stating that I could go to any LiveScan operator, and that the operator should NOT rebill me for the DOJ fee, he STILL insisted he was right - NOT TRUE TONY - After all this hassle, and after I verified that he didn't know what he was talking about, he then refused to give me the name of his boss or anyone higher than him, claiming he was the "24/7 boss" - such GREAT customer service TONY! I can forgive incompetence and ignorance, but not when it's delivered with arrogance, rudeness, and a complete lack of professionalism and courtesy. This store is beyond horrible. I am not at all surprised to see this long list of horrible reviews on YELP from other customers. I have only written a few YELP reviews in years, but my experience here was SO AWFUL that I felt compelled to write this. I am also filing a formal complaint with the Department of Justice over this store's LiveScan licensing - they clearly should not be permitted to perform this service for the public. Called several other local sites and they confirmed that not only was this store manager dead-wrong, the attempt to rebill me was fraudulent and illegal on his part. I hope the DOJ takes punitive action as well as removes this store's license. Oh - and I went to a wonderful place two blocks away, that handled it all with courtesy, professionalism, and miraculously knew that they should only charge me the re-rolling fee. Amazing how some businesses understand business and customer service, and others should really find a new day job. read more

This Notary lady got it right., she really had it together(meaning she knows her job). I've dealt with a Notary on Broadway, and they just need ta ketchup(and we all know what ketchup is made of).,a riddle from this here poet case you didn't know it., now the ones I've referred to on Broadway are more of the "Robo Notary" a term I dug from off line., I've also experienced a Notary by the name of Kim between the post office and the Grand Lake Theater., This guy had a disposition., he referred to his license on the wall as "whatever that is" but couldn't answer my questions, all he could do was refer to his license I mean, "whatever that is" he had hanging on the wall I presume in order to convey the surety that he knew what he was doing, but I wasn't convinced, and he tried to rush me through the process and got upset and and said look "do you want it notarized or not" "I have other customers and work to do, so either be quiet and get your papers stamped or I cannot help you" He also said "nobody else asks all these questions they just come in and get a stamp, that's my only job" that statement right there made new question whether or not he was legit in which his reply was you can see right there on the wall, I was like where? He was like it's right in front of you, that thing there, "whatever that is"(oddly referring to his state issued license) You will here the details of "Kim the Notary" "Whatever that is" in my future review, but for now, let me commend and honor the lovely service lady at the UPS STORE on Grand Ave, next to the Chevron Gas-station, The ones in the UPS store especially the notary lady excel in service and complete satisfaction, which is becoming rare for the originals, but they treated me with great experience and superb expectation for my next visit, which is hard to get being who I am.
