Holy smokes! I walked into the shop on a whim to get some supplies and was completely blown away by the exceptional customer service I received. Like... I wish I could give six stars good! I was helped by an employee named Jakeline who went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of properly. I was looking for some boxes and Jakeline asked me a lot of questions about what I needed the boxes for and even assembled a few to show me the different sizes that were available. The prices were described very clearly, and it made making the best decision very easy. Definitely recommend this business all the way! They quoted me $260 to ship a large box to New Mexico. I priced it on the UPS website and it said the cost should be $147. I asked about the huge difference and she said it is because they are a franchise, not actually UPS... but that they could "probably" ship it for $175 for me. I tried to get two packages sent to my proper address but they first told me that they could do it, but now they say that they can only send them back to the shipper. I did not successfully transact here. The website said they were open, and the phone tree hours indicated they were open. . There was some snow coming down, and I arrived before 1pm to find the store closed down. I found another UPS Store across town that was open and I was able to be helped. I ddin't care so much that they wanted to close during snow. I care that there was no way to confirm they were open before I made the tirp in the snow to get there. Very disappointing. Other stores with live-answer options confirmed they were still open and I was able to ship from another location the same day. I had to drive further in the snow to do it. read more

If I could give a negative star I would. Paid $160 for insurance on a $2000 package. Arrived damage and was charged $600 from the business. The UPS store owner, Jacqualine, completely ignored all my requests for my claim. Her employee even told me that she purposely ignores the claims until they go away. I had to send fax (haha). I typed in "fax" on my google maps app and this UPS store appeared. I could sort of picture where it was located. It was a good experience, pretty straight forward. It's in a small strip mall (if you call it that) on Barbur. The parking lot was packed and busy, take caution entering and exiting. $2 to send three pages via fax. It says it's the UPS store but more important they do U. S. mail as well. So, I found myself on a Saturday wanting to mail a book via media mail. The machine at the post office does not do media mail. So, I went in there. The place has full UPS services. Mailboxes in case you want to get your mail there and full service U. S. mail services. I'm not sure of there hours but they have Saturday hours which the regular post office does not. They do sell stamps, a sign says not individual stamps by the book only. That's ok, at least they offer them up. I'll remember this place when I'm wanting to quickly mail something as there was no line. I'll be back to use this place. The parking lot is a bit hard to park in and a few near misses I'm sure have happened here but it's nearby and great hours. read more

I've used this location a few times before without complaint, then I shipped an expensive item to Seattle for repair and ran into a real negative experience. I shipped an item that is valued at $2000.00 and insured for that amount. It was apparently dropped because the packaging (box-in-box) was undamaged but the item sustained over 200.00 damage. Contacted the store and they sounded very cooperative but have been ducking my inquires for the last week. Meanwhile the work that I had scheduled on the item has been on hold, waiting for the insurance claim. Apparently their (UPS store) strategy is to try and wait me out. read more

I'LL SAVE YOU THE TRIP The young not very confident girl working the counter will overcharge you. They charged me $4.95 more that they should have and refused to give me a refund. She backed up it by saying they charge more than the Post Office. Maybe that is true, but she could have said so, as I went through several mailing options. I ended up sending a package UPSP Priority Mail on 9/10/2018, in a flat rate envelope and they charged $12.20. The Post Office charges $7.25. I recommend skipping this place, RUDE. read more

I returned two packages from Amazon here and they got one but not the other. Store blamed UPS. Then I sent a contract to a customer. First attempt...never got it. Second attempt...made sure it was "certified" so someone would have to sign when they received it. Two weeks later customer still never got contract. Said receipt should have tracking number, but mine for some reason did not. So someone messed up. Says: Dalton was the one who helped me. Manager said customer received paperwork, but no signature. When all certified mail REQUIRES a signature. Blamed USPS. I don't know who is messing up, or why it is happening more frequent than it should. Never experienced this before, but it won't happen again because I don't trust this place. I don't trust my package to be delivered or trust it not to get lost. read more

I live right near a UPS Store, which is great. Not that I use them all that often but it's nice to know that it's there. It's a lot better then Fedex or even using the Post Office, which is farther out of the way. In fact I just dropped off a package today and the owner of the store waved at me. My family has been using the UPS store to send packages out for years, and I've never had a problem with them. Their customer service was great too when I had to call them. Not that there was anything that someone did. I think it was more of an accidental oversight that didn't get caught, but somehow I got charged for something that I never shipped and it was from a corporation somewhere on the east coast. I called up explained the situation and it was taken care of in an instant. Also, I will have to disagree with Krista's assesment with UPS. There of course are times when there's an oversight in her case someone mailed her something using her POBOX, which is correct, UPS doesn't ship to po boxes. Yet, sometimes it can slip through the cracks, and that can happen to a variety of shippers. The only company that I know that ships to Poboxes is the United States Post Office. HMMMMMM Could it be because well that's usually where a po box is located? Probably. So, why would you use UPS to send something to a pobox when you know that poboxes are in post offices? read more

Seriously, I love going to this place for all my shipping, especially compared to the Post Office where they look right through and past me, like i'm not even there... ("You want stamps? No? NEXT!"). We had the sad task of boxing up and distributing things from my recently deceased Mother's apartment. We showed up near closing time a few weeks ago with a load of items - some boxed but mostly needed packing. That included a rare table and delicate pictures. The staff was incredibly helpful in managing this entire shipment. It was destined for an address in Pennsylvania and I crossed my fingers hoping it would arrive - and in great shape. I went in to mail my taxes off for my business. They told me the amount and took my credit card for payment. They then failed to put the right amount of postage on it. I have had quite a few shipping projects over the last few weeks, and they can be time consuming when I am at the counter receiving assistance. I requested that UPS send a package back and two hours after I made this request another note populates stating that customer requested package to be helded. I did not know that UPS changed my request for 4 days until I checked to see if my package had been received by the sender. UPS is working on correcting this but it was very distressing to think that UPS customer service personnal are making these types of errors. read more

This have been my mail go to for over 12 years. It has had three owners. The newest one just bought the place in April of 2014. Dan was the old owner, and was extremely helpful and courteous. I have 3 PO Boxes here and in this review will share from a business viewpoint. While I know retail can be hard, customers can be demanding I can tell if the temperament of the owner and the Co-Team is right for the business. I am still here, the price for the boxes are a little high. $135 for med size and 235 for large per year. They do a lot of business here. They give me a key when they are closed so I can check my mail after hours. Accommodating is a good word for this company. read more

Shocked at the lack of customer service. For starters we called ahead for notary service and we were told to come in anytime after 2pm seeing that they have more staff available then. There was 5 of us waiting in line - this detail is important later. When it was our turn the notary person was on the phone and had decided they weren't going to help us until after they took their lunch so we step out of the line. The notary person comes out to help other people(at this point we are really confused).We weren't sure what we should do since we really needed to get this paper notarized, as we are standing there talking about our options the notary girl emerges to tell us we need to step out of the store because there can only be 3 people in line at any given time. Huh? There was only the two of us and no one else was coming into the store. We told her how absolutely frustrating this whole situation is. Her reply is that she has the right to refuse services. Really?! Truth be told you were called out for your lack of customer service and not keeping your word and that's the best you can do? By all means go eat your lunch! read more

Every staff member at this store is great at multi-tasking & making sure everyone feels valued and taken care of in the most friendly, helpful manner possible. Store Manager Jaclyn is the best! She makes everyone feel as if they are a top priority. Even when the store gets busy, the staff act quickly and efficiently to clear the line and meet everyone's needs. I will never again use UPS if I can possibly help it. I was supposed to receive a package on the 19th - a full week ago. On the 19th I checked the tracking status and it said it had stopped moving because of adverse weather conditions. Yes, Portland had seen some snow and ice that week but Friday itself was clear and the roads were fine. Anyway, the worst part is that after the 20th (which said the same thing about adverse conditions and that movement had ceased) there have been no further updates as to what's happening. This package was supposed to be for my husband's birthday on the 21st, and is perishable to boot. I've called customer service twice, but of course I don't get to speak to someone in the actual Tualatin center, I have to speak to someone who only knows as much as their computer screen says (which seems to be as much as I can see for myself when I track the package). From what they say it looks like the package is still on a trailer, not even unloaded onto a brown truck yet. I understand Portland isn't used to snowstorms but to have no movement in a week now is ridiculous and makes me wonder if I'm ever going to get it at all. I'm also waiting for a second package from amazon.com for which I paid extra for two-day shipping so that it would arrive by Christmas. Well, that's delayed, too, but at least the tracking is being updated every day so I know it's not lost in some black hole. It's unfortunate that Amazon doesn't let you choose the shipping carrier you want because I'm going to think 2, 3, 4 times before I use UPS again. When you call the UPS customer service number, it reminds you that they will grant no refunds on anything that's supposed to be delivered during the month of December. So they're basically admitting that they can screw up at any time and the customer still has to bear the cost. Stay classy, UPS. read more

I have recently sent a package to Guatemala via UPS and they did nothing to make the process of delivery faster. It took more than 2 months for the packages to be delivered. Heads up! read more

They are terrible 98% of the time but this time was the worst, I was home and it was raining, the bull head put my 5-6 carton boxes in the rain on the ground by my garage door with no covering and with my front door only mere feet away with a working door bell and a vehicle in the drive way indicating some one is home, they never bother to even try. Excellent customer service. Apparently you can't actually send a passport renewal form via UPS (I had no idea), but the clerk was very astute, and made sure that it was sent via USPS. Thanks to her, my passport arrived in time, and I didn't have to swim across the border to Canada. Parking lot is a bit dicey. read more

UPS is the worst shipping company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. I almost never take the time to write reviews for companies, but UPS service is so horrible that I am actually going out of my way to write them bad reviews. Sadly, that's more effort than they ever put into their work. UPS has taken an absurd amount of time to ship my package (exceeding their "scheduled delivery time") when it could have even arrived days before schedule, had they actually cared to do their job. The package, containing a $600 computer, had clearly been tossed around carelessly and had water damage. The online tracker never updated, so I had no idea of the whereabouts of my package. Since I ordered the package two weeks ago, I have been on the phone with customer service three times (which is a feat in itself, seeing as their customer service line has no option to actually speak to a human being). Customer service offered me no solutions, no information, and no help. I informed them of my dissatisfaction and the fact that I was planning to move out of state right around when the package was supposed to arrive late, and they still offered me no help. So here I am; I JUST received my package, and was supposed to begin my moving journey hours ago, but because of UPS I am about 6 hours behind schedule. And the damn package should have been here days ago. In conclusion: UPS is a joke. They are awful. No company should consider them a trusted shipper, and no customer should have to deal with their poor service. read more
